Scripture: Jeremiah 19:3b

“The ears of those who hear about it will ring.†NLT

The story is told of two horses standing in a field. From a distance they looked like ordinary horses except one was large and the other small. One day a car stopped to watch the two horses in the field and witnessed something quite amazing.

Looking into the eyes of the large horse one could tell he was blind. His owner obviously had chosen not to put him down, but made a good home for him. This alone was amazing.

But there is more to this story. Listening intently the passer-by could hear the sound of a bell. Looking around he saw that it came from the smaller horse across the field. Upon closer examination he could see the bell was attached to her bridle.

A few more minutes watching and it was clear the bell allowed the blind horse to know where the small horse is at all times. As he stood there he noticed the small horse constantly checking on the location of the larger one. The larger horse listened for the bell and slowly walked to the ringing bell, trusting that she would not lead him astray.

Like the owner of the blind horse, God does not throw us away just because we are imperfect or because we have problems or challenges. He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need.

Sometimes I am like the large blind horse and God places a special person with a bell in my life to direct me toward his kingdom. Other times I am like the small horse ringing the bell, guiding others to see God’s light.

Prayer: Father thank you for sending the right bell, ringing at the right time to improve my awareness of you. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

Jesus, use Your child, this child in Your daily walk with You, publicly and silently touching others with Your spirit. AMEN!

Father i pray that you will not only send the right bell to ring for me to guide me in your direction but for my husband even as i type .Father may the sound of your voice constantly ring in not only my head but that of my husband Kelvin and your children everywhere that we will know for sure that you are always present ,trust in your word and grow stronger in Christ every day Amen.
