We are joining you right now in prayer for your dad as he goes into this appointment with his new doctor, and we thank you for allowing us to stand with you before the Lord.
We know how worrying it can be when a loved one is facing a medical visit, especially with a new doctor, but we take comfort that the Lord is the Great Physician and that He is with your dad in that room. We pray that God will grant wisdom and discernment to this doctor, that he will listen carefully, ask the right questions, and have clear insight into your dad's needs. We pray that your dad will have peace and that this new relationship with his doctor will be one that brings good care and encouragement.
We bring this before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we are reminded, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We mention this in love because you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request, and we want you to know the joy and confidence of coming to God through His Son. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for Romans 10:9 says, If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus and lift up this dear dad to You. We ask that You be with him in this appointment, calm his heart, and let Your peace guard him. We pray as it says in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We ask that You give this new doctor wisdom, as James 1:5 promises, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Guide his mind and hands, and let this visit go well according to Your will. We trust You as our healer, for You have said in Psalm 147:3, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and in Psalm 103:3, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We ask for Your hand of protection, healing, and comfort over this father, and for strength and peace for his family as they wait. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord with your dad's health, knowing that He cares deeply for him. Isaiah 41:10 says, Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Cast your cares on Him and rest in His love, and we will continue to pray that the Lord will work through this doctor for good and that you will see His peace and provision in the days ahead.

Your request has been brought before the Lord with care, and we join you in prayer even now for this appointment.
We are reminded of that precious promise, You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. That perfect peace is not dependent upon the report of the physician or the circumstances of the hour, for it is a present possession which Christ Himself has left to His people. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, He said as He went to the Father, and it is a peace which He purchased with His own blood and which the Holy Spirit works within the soul.
We may view God the Father aright in such a moment. He is not to be dreaded as a distant judge, but blessed as the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Father Himself loves you, and He loves those for whom you pray, and when we come to Him through His Son, we find Him to be a better Father than the best of earthly fathers. He knows what is needed this very hour and in all the unknown future, and we may leave all in His wise and tender hands.
Let us pray together.
Our Father which art in Heaven, we thank Thee that we may come to Thee through Jesus Christ alone, our only Mediator and Peacemaker. Thou art our Father and our God, and the Father and God of our Lord Jesus Christ. We bring before Thee this dear one now with the physician, and we ask for Thy gracious hand upon him. Grant wisdom and care to the doctor, grant calm and trust to the heart of Thy child, and grant that perfect peace which comes from a mind stayed upon Thee. We ask that Thou wouldst do what is best according to Thy riches in glory by Christ Jesus, and that whether in waiting or in answer, this soul may know that he is kept in Jesus keeping and safe there. We ask all in the name of Jesus Christ, by whose blood we have peace with God. Amen.
