Cutting grass - machines

Natasha 2

Beloved of All
Lord please remove this cutting grass machine under my window. I am i a school - i am a teacher. I dont know why this is not happening on saturdays and not when we have classes. It is very disturbing and deconcentrating. Lord please. Every year this problem. The principle is like deaf to this problem....lord let teachers put pressure on her. Enough of fear, control and manipulation in Jesus name!!

We hear your heart in this and we join with you in bringing this frustration before the Lord. We understand how difficult it must be to teach and to help students concentrate while a loud machine is running right under your window, and how discouraging it feels when this happens year after year during class time and not on Saturdays when it would not disturb learning, and when you feel unheard by your principal.

We are reminded that God cares about even the small details that affect our daily work and peace, and that He invites us to bring every concern to Him. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We also take comfort that He hears us when we feel overlooked by others. Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. Psalm 55:22

We want to gently encourage you as you navigate this with your principal and fellow teachers. While it is right to desire order and consideration for the learning environment, Scripture calls us to approach those in authority with respect and gentleness even when we feel frustrated. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1 and If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Romans 12:18 We encourage you to continue to make your request known in a calm and respectful way, perhaps together with other teachers in unity and love, seeking a practical solution such as scheduling the mowing for Saturdays or outside class hours, and doing all as service to the Lord. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23

We also hear your cry of enough of fear, control and manipulation and we agree with you that these things are not from God. For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 Where there has been intimidation or an atmosphere of fear, we pray the Lord will replace it with courage, wisdom and mutual respect, and that truth and grace will prevail in your school.

We lift this before the Father together with you in the mighty name of Jesus, for we are thankful you have called on His name, for there is power and access to the Father through Him.

Father in heaven, we thank You that we can come before Your throne through Jesus Christ. We bring this school and this classroom before You. Lord, You know the distraction and weariness this noise causes during lessons, and You know the heart of this teacher who wants to teach well for Your glory. We ask You to intervene and to provide a simple and peaceful solution, that the grass cutting would be scheduled at a time that does not disrupt classes, such as on Saturdays. We pray for the principal, that You would give her ears to hear, wisdom to lead, and a heart of understanding and compassion for her staff and students. Soften any hardness and remove any spirit of control or manipulation, and let Your peace and order reign in that place. We pray for unity among the teachers, that they may speak with grace, courage and love, not from fear, but from Your Spirit, and that they may be heard. Guard this teacher's heart from bitterness and discouragement, and fill the classroom with Your peace that surpasses understanding so that teaching and learning can flourish. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We hear how exhausting this has been for you. Trying to teach while a mower is running right under your window makes it so hard to concentrate or give your students your best, and when it happens year after year and you feel unheard by your principal, that frustration builds up quickly. It makes sense you are worn down by it.

Feeling like there is fear or control in the workplace adds extra weight, and we are praying for peace for you there as well as for quiet in your classroom.

One thing that often helps when a workplace issue feels stuck is to bring a clear, calm request rather than carrying the frustration alone. It could help to jot down the specific times and classes most affected, then quietly talk with one or two other teachers you trust to see if they are experiencing the same disruption. A brief, respectful note together that simply describes how the timing affects learning and suggests a workable alternative, like Saturdays or after hours, is often easier for leadership to hear and act on. If there is a neutral colleague who can help facilitate that conversation, that can keep it constructive for everyone.

We are with you in prayer for wisdom and for a more peaceful way forward.

Jesus, we lift this teacher to You. You see the noise, the distraction, and the tiredness of feeling unheard. Give calm in the classroom, wisdom for the next conversation, and grace among the staff. Provide a timing for this work that allows teaching to happen without interruption. We ask for Your peace to rest here. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your cry amid this daily trial has been heard and brought before the Lord. Even a small and constant disturbance, as the noise of a machine under the window while duty presses upon you, can weary the spirit and break the peace of the mind, and He who numbers the hairs of your head is not deaf to such matters.

You speak of duties thronging and concentration broken, and of a burden that returns year after year. Remember the word of the prophet, You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This perfect peace is not only for the quiet hour but for the ordinary circumstances of life, even when sorrows surge round and duties press. To do the will of Jesus in the place where He has set you, to teach faithfully before Him, this is rest. Look to Him who whispers peace within through His precious blood, and stay your mind upon Him even as the noise rises without. He can keep you in calm when the world around is loud.

You also write, Enough of fear, control and manipulation, and you long for teachers to speak and for the principal to hear. Hear also what the Lord says so often in His garden, Fear not. Fear not, for I am with you. Fear not, for I will help you. Fear is weakening and it dishonours God, for it questions whether His arm is palsied. The fear of man brings a snare, but perfect love casts out fear, for fear has torment. Labor then to be rid of fear, not by striving in your own strength, but by trusting in promised strength. The Lord who has redeemed you is your help, and He will uphold you.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, You are the God of all peace, and Your Son has made peace by His blood, and Your Spirit works peace in the soul. Grant to Your servant who teaches in this school a portion of that perfect peace which the world cannot give and cannot take away. Keep her mind stayed upon You in the midst of noise and distraction, and let her find rest in doing Your will faithfully this day.

Grant wisdom and a hearing ear to those in authority, and give grace that any needful word may be spoken not in strife but in meekness and truth. Remove servile fear from all hearts, and let holy reverence for You alone govern every word and deed. Help Your servant to cast all care upon You, to be anxious for nothing, and to know that You are near to help and to deliver. May even this small trial work patience and prove Your sustaining power, until earths struggles shall cease and You call us to Heavens perfect peace. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and is our familiar Friend and Helper. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your weariness after years of this same disruption is understandable, and it is right to bring this burden to the Lord. To try to teach while a machine is roaring under the window, year after year, when the work could be done on a Saturday and outside of class hours, would try anyone's patience and make concentration very difficult.

I pray with you that God, who is the God of love and of peace, would grant peace to your school. Scripture teaches us to seek peace and pursue it, and promises that when we are of one mind and live in peace, God Himself is with us. May He give you and your fellow teachers a calm spirit even in the noise, and may He give your principal ears to hear and wisdom to order these practical matters for the good of the students and teachers entrusted to her care.

You mentioned fear and control and manipulation, and your desire to be free from them in Jesus name. That longing is good. The fear of man brings a snare, but the fear of the Lord is to be taught and learned, and it leads to life. Where love is present, fear is cast out, and where people are spiritual there will be peace. God does not want His children to live in dread of one another, but to act in love and reverence, submitting to one another in the fear of Christ. Love bears with much, and it also speaks truth with courage.

So pray not for pressure that would manipulate, but for boldness to speak the word without fear in the Lord, with respect for authority and with love. As one teacher to another, you can make a respectful appeal together, not as adversaries but as coworkers seeking what is best for the children. There is wisdom in having one ruling authority in a house or a school so there may be order, yet that authority is itself called to love and to listen, as the head cares for the body.

Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, who alone is our salvation, hear this teacher's prayer. You see the disturbance and the years of frustration. Grant rest and concentration for teaching, and move the hearts of those who schedule this work so it may be done at a more suitable time. Soften and open the heart of the principal to listen with care. Take away a spirit of fear from the teachers and give them courage and love to speak clearly and kindly, and help all to pursue what makes for peace. Guard this school from strife and manipulation, and let Your peace rule there. Amen.

Your request about the constant noise outside your classroom window is heard, and I understand how distracting and wearing this has become when you are trying to teach and help your students concentrate. It is right to want a quiet and orderly environment for that work, and it is also understandable to feel frustrated when you have raised the concern and felt unheard.

Scripture encourages us to pray for all who are in positions of authority, so that we may lead quiet and peaceable lives in godliness and honesty. That includes a school principal. Everyone who carries authority needs God's help and guidance, and God calls us to lift them up in prayer rather than only speaking against them. The principle of authority in the Bible is that it is a chain. No one exercises authority well who forgets that he or she is also under authority. When a person forgets they are accountable to God for how they lead, that leadership can become harsh or self serving. Jesus taught that true authority is not shown by displaying power over others, but by serving. Praying for your principal is asking God to give her wisdom to serve the teachers and students well, to hear legitimate concerns, and to order the practical matters of the school in a considerate way.

You also mentioned fear, control and manipulation, and wanting that to be broken. Fear is a powerful enemy of faith. The two cannot rule the heart at the same time. Where fear is allowed to take over, faith is pushed out, and where faith and confidence in God are strong, fear loses its hold. One psalmist said that even though he walked through the valley of death he would fear no evil because the Lord was with him. Remembering that the Lord is present is the cure for a troubled and fearful heart.

There is an example in the life of Nehemiah that is helpful here. He recognized that some of the opposition he faced was designed to make him afraid so that he would react out of fear. Reactions that are driven by fear are often wrong and lead us away from wisdom. He chose not to hide or to make a fearful move, but to continue doing what was wise and prudent, trusting that if God wanted to protect him, God could protect him wherever he was. In the same way, you can take wise and respectful steps, such as making a calm and clear request through the proper channels, perhaps together with other teachers, but not from a spirit of fear or retaliation. Do what is prudent and right, and leave the outcome in God's hands.

The world is under a great deal of confusion and the enemy often uses pressure and intimidation, but that authority is only usurped. Through Jesus Christ we can resist that pressure, and as we draw near to God, He draws near to us and gives peace. The fear of the Lord, which is to hate evil and to reverence Him, is the beginning and the sum of true knowledge. It keeps us from being controlled by the fear of people.

So let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this classroom and this school before You. You see the distraction and the difficulty this noise brings during teaching hours. We ask that You would provide a quiet and peaceable environment for learning. We lift up the principal and all who make decisions about the maintenance of the grounds, and ask that You would give them wisdom, understanding and a willing heart to hear the concerns of teachers and to order the schedule in a way that is considerate of classes. We ask that You would remove fear from this teacher's heart and replace it with faith and confidence in Your presence. Help there to be no reaction out of fear, but wise, gracious and truthful communication. Let Your peace rule, and let all control and manipulation be broken by Your authority. We trust that our lives and our circumstances are in Your hands, and that You rule over all. Work out Your good plan here, and let Your name be honored in this school. Amen.
