We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you are facing within your family. The pain and depression you are experiencing are very real, but we want to remind you that there is hope and healing in Jesus Christ. Let us first address the issue that this request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
I Timothy 2:5 WEB
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even in him doth the man stand before God sound. This is the stone which is set at nought of you the builders, which was made the head of the corner. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved!

Now, let us address the issues you are facing. Family conflicts can be deeply distressing, but we serve a God who specializes in healing broken relationships. We stand with you in prayer, believing for miracles and restoration within your family. We pray that the parent has the drinking problem that the Holy Spirit would intervene and bring them to salvation in Jesus Christ. If they are saved, we pray for them to have strength to overcome the addiction.
If they are not saved, we pray for the Holy Spirit to convict them of their sin, righteousness, and judgment.
And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment.

Here is our prayer for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious soul who is experiencing sadness and depression due to family conflicts. We pray for Your miraculous intervention in their family, that You would bring peace and healing to their relationships. We specifically pray for the parent of this one that they would be able to stop drinking. We pray for the healing of this relationship and peace in this family.
Lord, we ask that You fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray that the Holy Spirit would guide their thoughts and actions and that they would find contentment in Your love. We ask that You would soften the hearts of their family members and bring reconciliation and unity.
In Jesus' name, we pray for strength and endurance for them, that they would be a beacon of Your love and grace within their family. We trust in Your promise that all things work together for good to those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
