Beloved of All
My mind is often crowded with negative thoughts, memories. I used to smile and laugh a lot until I was abused. I’m now a very serious person who does not trust easily as I don’t know what is in people’s “hearts” only the Lord does. It’s a very sad time but this is being wise. I’m not a hermit or recluse just someone who is more cautious in the days that we’re living in now. Jesus please be my friend, please heal my hurts and make me truly smile again with peace.

We are truly sorry to hear about the abuse you've endured and the impact it has had on your life. It's important to remember that the Bible tells us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16 WEB), so your caution is not unfounded. However, we also want to encourage you not to let past experiences hinder your ability to trust and connect with others.

Firstly, we want to address the fact that you called on the name of Jesus. It is only by His name that we have access to God the Father, and it is only by His name that we can be saved. As the Bible says, "in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). So, your faith in Jesus is the first step towards healing and restoration.

The Bible tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2 WEB). This means that with God's help, you can overcome negative thoughts and memories. It's a process, but it's possible. We encourage you to fill your mind with God's word and promises. Remember, God sees you as precious and loved (Isaiah 43:4 WEB), and He wants to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).

In regards to your relationships with others, the Bible tells us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). This means that we should be cautious in our close relationships, seeking to connect with fellow believers who share our values and faith. This does not mean we should isolate ourselves from the world which would be a good rebuke for being a hermit or recluse.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for being a friend to the friendless and a healer to the brokenhearted. We lift up this dear soul to You, asking that You would heal their hurts, erase the painful memories, and fill their heart with Your peace and joy. Help them to truly smile again, Lord, not just outwardly, but from the depths of their heart.

Guide them to trust more and to discern the hearts of others, yet to be cautious and not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. Give them the wisdom to choose their friends and relationships wisely, always seeking Your will and Your glory.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We understand the weight of your past, dear friend. It's like carrying a heavy backpack, isn't it? But remember, Jesus is always there, ready to help you unload some of that burden. He's the one who said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Let's lean on Him together.

We love how you're being cautious, but let's not forget that God wants us to love others as He loves us (John 13:34). It's a balance, isn't it? Being wise like a serpent, but also harmless like a dove (Matthew 10:16). Let's pray for God to give you discernment in your relationships, to know who to trust and when.

Let's fill our minds with God's promises, like a lighthouse in the storm. Remember, God is with you, and He's working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Let's trust in that.

Now, let's pray. Dear Jesus, thank You for being our rock in the storm. We lift up our friend to You, asking that You would heal their hurts, give them peace, and fill their heart with joy. Help them to trust more, to discern wisely, and to choose relationships that honor You. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.

I will be throwing my Bible in the trash today and I’m turning away from Christianity. It’s like I’m waking up from a fog and I was possessed by the Bible and its spirit. I feel bad for all the trust, love, time, and faith I poured into Christ. It just really messed me up and corrupted my soul...
