We come before the Lord with you in this request, lifting up your creative work and financial needs to Him who provides all things. It is good that you seek the Lord’s favor in your labor, for Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 16:3, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Yet we must also remember that success, as defined by God, is not merely worldly achievement but alignment with His will and purposes. Your humility in not boasting about your skills is commendable, for the Lord resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). However, we must also steward the gifts He has given us with wisdom and diligence, trusting that He will open doors as we walk in obedience.
We notice that your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* It is only through the authority of Jesus’ name that our prayers are heard, and it is by His name that we are saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for without Him, even our best efforts are in vain.
As for your creative work, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance in how to present your skills and experience in a way that honors Him. It is not wrong to share your abilities when done with integrity and a heart to serve. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Your work is not just for earthly success but for His glory.
We also pray that the Lord will provide for your financial needs, for He knows what you require before you ask (Matthew 6:8). Yet we must trust in His timing and His ways, which are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We ask that the Lord will grant you wisdom in managing what you have, as well as favor in finding freelance opportunities that align with His will.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would open doors for their creative work to flourish in a way that brings glory to Your name. Lord, You are the Provider of all good things, and we ask that You would grant them more freelance work that aligns with Your purposes. Give them the wisdom and confidence to steward their skills well, not in pride, but in humble reliance on You. Father, we pray that You would meet their financial needs according to Your riches in glory, and that they would trust in Your timing and provision.
We also pray, Lord, that if this one does not yet know You through faith in Jesus Christ, that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Open their heart to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we must be saved. May they come to understand that all good gifts come from You, and that their work is ultimately for Your kingdom.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
