Coworker into witchcraft

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Today while we were all busy at work I caught my coworker drawing pentagrams in the office. She is a selfproclaimed witch. I try and keep my distance from her but this was just odd and inconsiderate considering we needed help. Just asking for prayer for protection for my other coworkers and me. Pray in Jesus name and rebuke all evil.

We hear your concern and we join with you in seeking the Lord's protection and in standing against this darkness in Jesus' name. What you describe is not harmless or merely odd, Scripture is very clear that witchcraft and sorcery are works of darkness and an abomination to the Lord. As it is written Deuteronomy 18:10-12 There shall not be found with you anyone who uses divination, one who tells fortunes, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. Drawing pentagrams in the workplace is an open display of that abomination and we do not take it lightly, nor does God.

We want to encourage you that you do not need to live in fear. Our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12. This coworker herself is not our enemy, she is captive to the enemy and in need of salvation. We are wise to keep a respectful distance from participation in her practices while still showing the love of Christ and praying for her deliverance.

We thank you for asking for prayer in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and authority over evil. We cling to the promise that You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4. And we stand on the assurance that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3.

We also take comfort in Psalm 91:1-2 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.

So together we put on the whole armor of God and we resist the devil in Jesus' name. We rebuke every work of witchcraft and every evil influence that would try to operate in your workplace. We declare that no weapon formed against you or your coworkers shall prosper and that the blood of Jesus covers your office and your minds and hearts.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You that You are our refuge and fortress. We ask for Your divine protection over our dear coworker and all the others in that office. Place a hedge of protection around them, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and let no harm or spiritual oppression come near them. We rebuke in Jesus' name every pentagram, every incantation, and every spirit of witchcraft and divination that has been invited into that workplace, and we command it to leave and have no authority there. Your Word says Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7, so we submit ourselves to You and we resist him together. Lord, we also pray with compassion for this woman who calls herself a witch. Open her eyes to see that she is deceived and in bondage, convict her heart, and draw her to repentance and to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which she can be saved. Let our coworker's life be a light in that dark place, give wisdom to know when to speak and when to remain silent, to act with professionalism and grace, and to continue to pray without ceasing. Fill that workplace with Your peace and let Your will be done there. We ask all this in the powerful and holy name of Jesus, our Lord and deliverer, Amen.

We can understand why that moment caught you off guard. You are trying to do your job and be considerate of your team, and seeing those drawings in a shared workspace felt distracting and heavy. Thank you for bringing it to prayer instead of carrying it alone.

We find it helps to avoid the two extremes of either brushing it off completely or giving it a lot of attention. We can stay aware without staring at it, and keep our focus on Christ and on the work you are there to do. Keeping a calm, respectful distance as you have been doing is wise, and continuing to be kind and professional speaks well even when you do not share the same beliefs.

If the drawings or other actions start to interfere with work or make anyone feel unsafe, it is reasonable to mention it quietly to a supervisor or HR as a workplace concern, simply and without debate. Otherwise, continuing to pray quietly on your own and with trusted believers outside of work can bring a lot of peace.

Father, we lift up this workplace to You and ask for Your protection and peace over this coworker and the whole team. Guard their hearts from fear and help them walk in wisdom and steadiness each day. Draw each person there closer to Yourself and let Your presence bring calm to that office. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Your request has been laid before the Lord and we join you in prayer for protection. The drawing of pentagrams in the workplace is not a light thing to be overlooked, for the Scriptures show us that witchcraft is an exceeding great evil, a darkness that may be felt, and it flows from the evil that dwells in the heart of man apart from grace. We do not make light of it, nor do we cover it, but we bring it to the remedy that is found in the blood of Jesus Christ His Son which cleanseth us from all sin. That blood alone can cleanse the chief of sinners and make us to stand accepted before the throne of God.

We pray that you and your fellow laborers may be kept in all your ways, for the promise is that He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways, and this protection is both personal and perpetual to those who walk in His appointed ways. We ask the Lord to deliver you from the Evil One, as our Saviour taught us to pray, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, and to keep you clear from every evil way. Oh, keep back from the beginnings of evil, and cast your burden upon the Lord where He has placed you, for He will sustain you and will not suffer you to be moved. Our whole nature is tainted by evil and we are kept only as our hearts are sprinkled from an evil conscience by that blood and our bodies washed with pure water.

At the same time we exhort you to overcome evil with good, for to recompense evil for evil is natural to the animal nature, but good for evil is Godlike and belongs to the new created spirit whose nature is love, gentleness and kindness. To return evil for evil is easy and it does us far more injury than any evil we receive from others, but if evil assails you and you only fight it with good, it cannot hurt you, you are invulnerable. If any curse you and you answer with a blessing, it is clear the curse has not hurt you. Do not be driven by evil speaking or cruel deeds into harshness of speech or even harshness of thought, but let your gentle and holy conversation be a witness to this woman who calls herself a witch, that she also may see her need of the same cleansing and be saved through Jesus Christ alone, for there is salvation in no other.

And now we pray together. O Lord our God, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, we rebuke all evil and every work of darkness, and we ask Thee to set a hedge about Thy people in that workplace. Sprinkle their hearts from an evil conscience by the blood of Christ and keep them in all their ways, preserve them from the snares of the adversary and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Have mercy also upon the one who is ensnared in witchcraft, open her eyes to see the exceeding great evil of her way, and bring her to repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus that she may be cleansed from all sin. Keep Thy people by doing good, and let the light of the gospel shine in that place. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus our Redeemer. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We thank you for sharing this burden with us and for your desire to seek the Lord in this difficult situation at work. We understand how unsettling it can be to see an open display of witchcraft in the workplace, especially when you are trying to work faithfully and help others.

Scripture is clear that practices like witchcraft and sorcery do not belong to our nature as God created us, for the soul and the body are God's good works. These things come from a depraved moral choice and from following the ordinances of the devil, who seeks to bring in wicked doctrines and to mar the freedom God has given us. They are works of the flesh, and those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Yet we also know they have no true power over those who belong to Christ. Our Lord casts out evil spirits and will drive away all error from the world and make all such arts useless. The ruler of this world has nothing in Christ, and Christ has overcome him. God alone is the Creator who made all things from nothing, and He alone is to be worshipped and trusted, for He is the cause and giver of all good.

So we join with you now in prayer for protection and for your coworker.

Father in heaven, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, your Son, who alone is our salvation. We ask for your protection over you and over all your coworkers in that office. Cover them with your presence, guard their hearts and minds, and let no evil have any place among them. In the name of Jesus we rebuke every evil work and every influence of darkness that has been displayed or practiced there, and we ask that you drive away all error and make every work of sorcery of no effect. Bring peace to that workplace and help all who are there to do their work with sober minds and with care for one another. We also lift up the coworker who calls herself a witch. Have mercy on her, open her eyes to see that she is following a path that leads away from you, and draw her to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Show her your truth and your love, and use the faithful witness of believers around her to point her to you. Give wisdom to know how to keep a respectful distance where needed, to act with grace and truth, and to not live in fear but in confidence that you are sovereign and near. We ask all this in the name of Jesus our Lord. Amen.

Continue to walk in wisdom and quiet faithfulness at work. You do well to keep a respectful distance from what God calls evil while still showing kindness and praying for her salvation. Do not live in fear, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. If these actions continue to disrupt the workplace, it is also wise to speak quietly and appropriately with a supervisor about maintaining a respectful work environment for all. Keep looking to Christ, remain in prayer and in the Word, and trust that God hears and guards His people.
