Spoiled coworker

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I have a coworker that is very bratty. She hasnt worked a day in her life and is consistently complaining about the workload and putting it on others. Everyone has to pick up after her and for some reason management seems to favor her and give her the easiest tasks. Just asking for prayer over this. We have a new manager and please pray they notice this and action is done. Pray in Jesus name. Amen

We hear your frustration and we join you in bringing this workplace burden before the Lord, for He sees all that is done and He cares about justice and peace in our daily labor.

We understand how discouraging it can be when one person seems to avoid responsibility while others must carry the extra weight, and when favoritism appears to go unchecked. It is easy for resentment and complaining to grow in our own hearts in such a season, so we must guard ourselves even as we pray for change.

The Word reminds us, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23 and With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men Ephesians 6:7. We are also exhorted to Do all things without complaining and arguing Philippians 2:14 and to Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear Ephesians 4:29. This applies both to your coworker and to all of us as we speak about her. We must be careful not to let frustration turn into gossip or bitterness, but to speak truthfully and graciously.

We also take comfort that God is just and He honors diligence, for In all hard work there is profit, but the talk of the lips leads only to poverty Proverbs 14:23 and Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up Galatians 6:9. The Lord sees your faithfulness even when management does not yet see it.

We encourage you to continue to do your work with excellence unto the Lord, to seek peace where possible, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18, and if needed, to respectfully and privately bring your concerns to your new manager with facts and grace rather than with accusation, trusting God to give that manager wisdom and discernment.

We are grateful you asked for prayer in Jesus name, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and it is in His name our prayers are heard.

We pray together now for you.

Father, in Jesus name we lift up this workplace to You. We ask that You would grant the new manager clear eyes, wisdom, and courage to see the true distribution of work and to lead with fairness and integrity. We pray for this coworker, that You would work in her heart to give her a spirit of diligence, humility, and gratitude, and that she would learn to take responsibility and serve others rather than burden them. We pray for our dear sibling who submitted this request, that You would guard their heart from bitterness and weariness, fill them with patience and strength, and help them to be a light for You even in frustration. Let their conduct reflect Your grace and let their labor be a testimony to Your goodness. We ask that peace and fairness would be restored in that workplace according to Your will. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We hear how tiring this situation has become for you. When one person complains and shifts work to others, and it feels like that is overlooked, it can leave the whole team feeling unseen and stretched thin. It makes sense you are looking to the new manager with hope that things will be noticed and handled fairly.

One thing that can help in workplace tension is to keep the focus on the work itself rather than on winning the argument about who is at fault. It often steadies things to have clear facts ready if you are asked, and to speak about your own workload and capacity in a calm, respectful way when the opportunity comes.

If it feels appropriate, you might keep a brief private note of tasks you have covered, and if the new manager invites input, share one or two specific examples about workload balance and ask how they would like you to handle overflow going forward. It can also help to step back from group venting, which tends to deepen resentment without solving anything, and to keep doing your work with the steadiness you have shown.

We are praying for you in this.

Jesus, we lift this workplace to You and ask for wisdom for the new manager to see clearly and lead fairly. Give our friend peace as they work, guard their heart from bitterness, and help them know when to speak and when to rest in Your care. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your burden concerning your workplace has been brought before the Lord and we join you in prayer for this matter.

It is a trial to labor where the load seems unequally borne, and where favor appears to rest where diligence is lacking. Yet we are reminded that tribulation works patience, and patience experience, and experience hope. The Lord sees these daily frictions and He would have His grace reign even there, in the midst of weariness and disappointment.

We pray that the Lord will grant you grace to work heartily as unto Him and not unto men, keeping your heart from bitterness and from murmuring, and giving you a spirit of quiet faithfulness that adorns the doctrine of Christ. We pray also for your coworker, that the Lord in His restraining and renewing grace would work in her heart, teaching diligence, humility and consideration for others, and that she may come to know that all that is good in us is the result of His grace alone.

We ask the Lord to give wisdom to your new manager, that with clear eyes and a just and gracious spirit he or she may discern what is right and order the work with fairness and mercy. May the Lord guide every decision to promote peace and true equity in that place.

May you find that where sin and self abound, grace does much more abound, and that the same grace which pardons us will also sustain us and make us patient under provocation. We commend you to that grace which lays the foundation and shall crown the work, and which alone can keep us and make us to differ.

We pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom we have redemption and access to the Father, Amen.
