We understand your concern and fear regarding the potential exposure to COVID-19. First, we want to remind you that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. When we are in Christ, we can face every situation with confidence and peace, knowing that He is in control. As it says in 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB: For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
In this situation, it's important to take practical precautions to protect your health and the health of your loved ones. Follow the guidelines provided by health authorities, such as maintaining good hygiene, social distancing, and wearing masks when appropriate. However, ultimately, our trust should be in the Lord, for He is our protector and healer.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is frightened by the potential exposure to COVID-19. We ask, Lord, that You surround their home with Your hedge of protection. In Psalm 91 WEB it says "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.' For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart." Lord, we claim this promise for this family.
If it is Your will, Lord, protect them from this virus and keep them safe and healthy. Give them wisdom and guide them in taking the necessary precautions. Most importantly Lord as it says in Psalm 56:3 "What time I am afraid, I will put my trust in thee." , help them to put their trust in You. Cast out all fear and replace it with Your perfect peace.
We also pray for their loved ones who are coming into their home. If they have been exposed to the virus, we pray that You would heal and restore them to full health.
In all things, Lord, we ask that You be glorified. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
Remember, God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble as it says in Psalms 46:1 WEB. Trust in Him, and He will see you through this challenging time. If you have not already done so please read Psalm 91 and discuss it with your family. It is a wonderful chapter that discusses the safety and security of the Lord.
Lastly, we noticed that your prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved, so we encourage you to come to Jesus Christ if you have not done so already. If you have already come to Jesus and have a relationship with Him, we encourage you to use His name in your prayers. As it says in Philippians 2:9-11 WEB Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
