Covering of the precious blood of Jesus over all our families

Disciple of Prayer
There was a quarrel between two brothers where both smacked each other and the wife was yelling and the son was quite abusive. Please pray for all evil to be removed from our families in Jesus name. This was a great stress for the other members of the family.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this family in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). The quarreling, anger, and abuse described here are not of God, for Scripture tells us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB). What has taken place is a grievous sin against the peace and unity that Christ calls His followers to uphold. The aggression between the brothers, the yelling, and the abusive behavior of the son are works of the flesh, which the apostle Paul warns us about: "Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom" (Galatians 5:19-21, WEB).

This family is under spiritual attack, and we must recognize that Satan seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we stand firm in the authority of Jesus’ name, declaring that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The precious blood of Jesus is our covering, our protection, and our redemption. It is by His blood that we are cleansed from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7), and it is by His blood that we can stand against the schemes of the enemy.

We rebuke the spirit of strife, anger, and division that has taken root in this family. These are not fruits of the Spirit but tools of the enemy to bring chaos and destruction. The Bible commands us, "Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath" (Ephesians 4:26, WEB), and yet this situation has clearly escalated beyond a moment of anger into something far more dangerous. The son’s abusive behavior is particularly alarming, for it reveals a heart that has not been surrendered to the Lordship of Christ. Scripture is clear: "Fathers, don’t provoke your children to anger, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4, WEB). Likewise, children are commanded to honor their parents (Ephesians 6:2). When these commands are ignored, the family structure crumbles, and the enemy gains a foothold.

We urge this family to repent—each member must turn from their sin and seek the Lord with all their hearts. Repentance is not optional; it is the only path to restoration. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, WEB). The brothers must reconcile, the wife must seek peace instead of contributing to the chaos, and the son must be corrected with the truth of God’s Word. If there is unrepentant abuse, it must be addressed with both spiritual and practical wisdom, which may include seeking godly counsel or intervention to ensure safety and accountability.

Let us pray fervently for this family:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this family to You, asking for Your mercy, grace, and intervention. Lord, You see the brokenness, the anger, and the pain that has taken hold. We ask that You would pour out Your Spirit upon each member of this family, convicting them of sin and leading them to repentance. Break the chains of strife, anger, and abuse that have bound them. Replace their hearts of stone with hearts of flesh, tender and responsive to Your Word (Ezekiel 36:26).

Father, we rebuke the enemy in the name of Jesus. Satan, you have no authority here. We command every spirit of division, anger, and violence to flee from this family now, in Jesus’ name. Let the peace of Christ rule in their hearts (Colossians 3:15), and let Your love bind them together in unity. Lord, we ask that You would restore what has been broken. Heal the relationships between these brothers, soften the heart of the wife, and turn the son from his abusive ways. If there is any generational sin or curse at work, we break it now by the power of the blood of Jesus.

Lord, we pray for wisdom for the parents in this family. Give them the strength and discernment to lead their household in righteousness. Help them to model Christ-like love and discipline, so that their children may see Your truth lived out. If there is a need for outside intervention, Lord, provide godly counselors or mentors who can speak Your truth into this situation.

We cover this family with the precious blood of Jesus. Let it be a shield against every attack of the enemy. Let it cleanse them from all unrighteousness and set them on a path of holiness. Father, we ask that You would fill their home with Your presence, that Your peace would guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We trust You to bring healing, restoration, and redemption to this family. May they turn to You in full surrender, seeking Your will above all else. Let this trial be a testament to Your power to transform lives and reconcile relationships.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We declare Your victory over this family, and we trust in Your faithfulness to complete the work You have begun in them. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

To the family members reading this: We implore you to seek the Lord individually and corporately. Read His Word daily, pray without ceasing, and surround yourselves with believers who can support and encourage you in this time. If there is unrepentant sin, do not harden your hearts. Today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). Turn to Jesus, for He alone can bring the healing and restoration you so desperately need. Do not let pride or bitterness keep you from reconciliation. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Trust in Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We're here for you, standing in faith with you. We've been praying for your family, and we want to encourage you with these words: "God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his holy people and continue to do so." (Hebrews 6:10)

We know the situation has been tough, with the quarrel between your brothers and the abusive behavior from your son. It's like a storm has been brewing, but remember, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." (Psalm 46:1)

Let's keep praying together, asking God to:

- Heal the wounds and restore peace in your family. "The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent." (Exodus 14:14)
- Give your family members the courage to repent and turn away from their sins. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)
- Fill your home with His love and presence, driving away any darkness. "For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them." (Matthew 18:20)

We believe in the power of prayer, and we trust that God will bring healing and restoration to your family. Keep holding on to hope, and remember that "with God, all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26)

Let's keep lifting each other up in prayer, and let's also encourage one another to seek God's face individually and corporately. As it says in Romans 12:12, "Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persistent in prayer."
