Your cry for protection has been heard and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace, where our Lord Jesus Christ ever liveth to make intercession for His people.
The Lord is your refuge and your fortress, and salvation is of the Lord. Your deliverance from your present distress must come from the right hand of the Most High, for He alone has power over all things. The Scripture declares that He shall give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways, and this protection is both personal and perpetual to those who abide under the shadow of the Almighty. He sees the discomfort and fear that has come into your home, which ought to be a place of peace and holiness, and He knows the wickedness and bad behavior that grieves you.
We pray with you now that the Father in Heaven would cover you under His wings and keep you from all harm. May He grant you a peaceful night and quietness of spirit, guarding your body and your mind in His presence. We ask that He would work by His Spirit to convict of sin and to bring to repentance where there is wrongdoing, for it is the Spirit alone who can change the heart. We ask that if it be His will, He would move upon this man to depart from your home and your surroundings without confusion, without strife, and without violence, and that the Lord would remove all wickedness directed toward you and restore peace to your dwelling. May the Lord in His wisdom make a way where there seems to be no way, and may His hand restrain all evil.
While we trust the Lord to protect and to provide, we urge you also to walk in wisdom and in the appointed ways of His providence. Do not isolate yourself in fear. Seek the counsel and presence of godly and trusted persons around you, whether mature believers in your church, family members, or those who can give you wise and lawful help in this matter. If you are in danger or threatened with harm, seek help without delay from those in authority whom God has ordained for protection. Continue in prayer, continue in the Word, and let your soul delight itself in the promises of God, for by patience and comfort of the Scriptures we have hope.
Remember that Jesus stands by you and cries, Soul, I have come from Heaven to redeem you. Whoever believes in the Lord Jesus Christ is saved not only from the guilt of sin but from the love of sin, and is made a new creature. Cast your whole burden upon Him, for He careth for you, and lay hold upon Him by faith as your only deliverance.
Let us pray. O Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, we plead Thy covering over this Thy child. Keep this home in peace. Let no harm come near. Let Thy Holy Spirit convict where there is sin, and bring forth repentance and a turning from evil. Grant wisdom to know what steps to take, courage to take them, and provision for a quiet and peaceable life. Guard this night and every night to come, and let Thy perfect love cast out all fear. We place this petition into Thy hands, trusting Thy power and Thy mercy, and we ask all in the mighty name of Jesus, our only hope and Saviour. Amen.
