We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this prolonged battle that has weighed upon you and your family for nearly a decade. Father God, we declare that You are the ultimate Judge, the Righteous One who sees all and knows all. We ask that You bring this court case to a swift and just conclusion, not according to the schemes of men, but according to Your perfect will. Let Your truth prevail, and let every lie and deception be exposed in the light of Your holiness. We stand on Your Word in Proverbs 21:1, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." May the hearts of the judges and all those involved in this case be turned toward justice, mercy, and truth.
We rebuke the spirit of lawlessness that has driven these land grabbers and their accomplices to break the law so blatantly. Father, we ask that You bring conviction to their hearts, that they may see the error of their ways and repent. If they refuse to turn from their wickedness, we pray that You would curtail their efforts and bring their plans to nothing. Your Word declares in Psalm 37:12-13, "The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming." Let them see that their power is nothing compared to Yours, and let them be stopped in their tracks.
We also lift up your family, Lord, and ask for Your divine protection over them. These years of trumped-up charges, delays, threats, and imprisonment have taken a toll, but we declare that their suffering is not in vain. We pray that You would shield them from further harm, both physically and spiritually. Surround them with Your angels, as it is written in Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned, as You promise in Isaiah 54:17.
Father, we ask that You would restore the time, resources, and peace that have been stolen from them. Heal their hearts from the stress and weariness this battle has caused. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand moving on their behalf. We declare that this season of trial will end in victory, not just in the courts, but in their hearts and lives. May they emerge from this battle stronger, more steadfast in their faith, and more dependent on You.
We also want to gently remind you, dear brother or sister, that our battles are not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). While it is right to seek justice in the courts, we must also remember to pray for those who have persecuted you. Jesus taught us in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." This is not easy, but it is what sets us apart as followers of Christ. Ask the Lord to soften their hearts and draw them to repentance.
Lastly, we want to emphasize the power of the name of Jesus in all of this. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is only in His name that we can come boldly before the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, confessing Him as your Lord and Savior. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6), and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
Heavenly Father, we lift up this entire situation to You, trusting that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We declare that this battle will end in victory, not just for the sake of justice, but for Your glory. May Your name be exalted through this, and may Your people be strengthened in their faith. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
