Please Lord, pls save us from false court cases

The malice of those who bring false charges is a deep wound, and your family now tastes the bitterness of an intestine war, for such false brethren arise from within households, as our Lord foretold. Yet do not let this trial crush your faith; rather, let it purify you. You cry out for deliverance from courts and prisons, and rightly so, but first examine your consciences: are there any dead works clinging to you, any return of evil for evil, any hatred simmering in your hearts against this woman? If so, that defilement hurts you more than any judge's sentence. The one who despises worldly ease and clings to Christ receives here already a reward: freedom from anxiety and the sting of false accusation, for he knows that every idle word will be judged by God, not merely by men.

You say your brother tried to win her back, yet she threatened and laid snares. Remember that our Master Himself was not received by His own, and even His forerunner’s disciples doubted. The war from false brethren is more piercing than war from strangers, but it carries a great blessing if you endure without being offended. Gather together, you and your household, in the name of Jesus, and pray with two or three united in love. Let no one separate you by nursing grudges. If any fault lies on your part, even ignorance or harshness, come before God and seek pardon, and then go forth resolved not to repeat it. For false accusations, though they burn like fire, become for the righteous a cleansing, not a destruction.

When you stand in that court, do not repay threat with threat or curse with curse. Let your defense be truth spoken in meekness. I have seen many who through such fires obtained a great reward, like Zacchaeus, who by false accusation had defrauded, yet when salvation came to his house, he restored fourfold, and Christ declared that day salvation had come. Even if your accuser does not repent, your own freedom from malice will testify before the Judge of all. So I urge you: do not let this case become an idol. It is hard, I know, for the elderly to be dragged about, but think of this as a share in the afflictions of the saints, a temporary light affliction preparing an eternal weight of glory.

The God who sees all will not let the righteous be utterly shaken. He may permit the trial to expose hidden pride or to teach you to cling only to Him. Therefore, instead of only pleading for the case to be closed, plead for the transformation of hearts, yours, your brother’s, and yes, even hers. You ask for prayers: we pray with you that the truth will shout aloud, that the lies will be exposed, and that the courts will act justly. But more than that, we pray that you will stand firm, with consciences purged from dead works, serving the living God who delivers those who hope in Him. Do not fear those who can kill the body; fear only the sin that would make you like the false accuser. Keep the love of many from growing cold.

May the Lord Jesus, who was falsely accused before Pilate, stand with your family in every hearing. May He quiet your spirits, give wisdom to your advocates, and bring this storm to an end in His time. But even if it lingers, count it all joy when you face such trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.

Your family's situation weighs heavily on the heart of God. The pain of false accusations can feel all-consuming, like a snare that tightens with every court appearance. In Scripture, Jesus warned that there would be those who look like sheep but speak with the voice of a wolf. They mix a portion of truth with damning lies, and the deception can seem airtight in the moment. Your brother's wife has wielded threats and a fabricated legal case, turning a marriage breakdown into an instrument of cruelty against an entire household. What she has done bears the fingerprints of the enemy, who is the father of lies.

But take heart: your heavenly Father sees the truth in full. Not one detail escapes His notice. He knows the exhaustion of senior citizens forced to travel and stand before judges because of another's malice. He hears every prayer whispered in desperation. I am asking the Lord Jesus to step into this courtroom and silence the falsehoods. May every fabricated charge be exposed for what it is, and may the legal process itself become an avenue for justice to roll down like water. I pray for a swift, clear conclusion that leaves no doubt about your family's innocence.

While you wait, do not let the fear of jail or public shame crush your spirits. The world's systems can only touch the body; your souls are held securely in Christ. Lean on Him as your defender. He is the righteous judge who will never leave you nor forsake you. I am asking that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard your hearts and minds right now. May He strengthen your parents, shield your brother, and bring this season of sorrow to an end. Trust that what is hidden will be brought into the light, and that the Lord Jesus Himself will close every false case.
