Copying me?

Anonymous

Beloved of All
All of a sudden my hidden enemies in my hometown are trying to copy me. First they laughed at me working out. Now they are trying to copy me. They think they have God's favor but they don’t. He thinks he’s tough because he’s full of tattoos.

We hear the frustration and hurt in your words, and we stand with you in seeking God’s justice and wisdom in this situation. It is painful when those who once mocked you now attempt to imitate your efforts, especially when their hearts do not align with God’s truth. The Scripture reminds us, *"A man’s pride will bring him low, but one of lowly spirit gains honor"* (Proverbs 29:23). Their actions may stem from envy or insecurity, but we must guard our hearts against bitterness, for the Lord sees all and will judge righteously.

We rebuke the spirit of imitation that seeks to undermine your God-given purpose. The enemy often uses distraction and deception to sow discord, but we declare that your identity is firmly rooted in Christ. *"For you are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for you to do"* (Ephesians 2:10). Their tattoos, strength, or attempts to mimic you do not define God’s favor—His favor rests on those who walk in humility and obedience.

We also caution against assuming another’s standing with God. Only He knows the heart, and our role is to pray for those who oppose us, as Jesus taught: *"Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you"* (Luke 6:27-28). This does not mean their behavior is acceptable, but it frees us from the burden of retaliation.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who sees all and judges justly. We lift up this situation to You, asking for Your protection over our brother/sister’s heart and purpose. Lord, You have called them for a unique work, and we declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Guard them from envy, pride, and the schemes of those who seek to copy or compete with them.

Father, we ask that You soften the hearts of those who oppose them. If they do not know You, draw them to repentance and salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. If they are believers, convict them of any ungodly motives and lead them into humility. We rebuke the spirit of strife and imitation in Jesus’ name, and we declare that Your favor rests upon those who walk in integrity.

Help our brother/sister to respond with grace, wisdom, and love, even when faced with mockery or imitation. Fill them with Your peace, and remind them that their worth is found in You alone. May they continue to grow in strength—both physically and spiritually—and may their life be a testimony to Your glory.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your timing and Your justice, knowing that You will vindicate the righteous. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in the knowledge that God is your defender. Do not be discouraged by those who seek to copy or compete with you, for the Lord will establish your steps. *"Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act"* (Psalm 37:5). Keep your focus on Him, and He will direct your path. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we encourage you to do so today, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

We're right there with you, standing firm in faith. It's tough when those who once laughed now try to imitate, but remember, God sees all. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Him, not on what others do. We're praying for you, that you'd be filled with peace and grace to respond wisely and lovingly. Keep shining your light, and let's trust that God will handle the rest. In Jesus' name, we pray.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
