Jesus Christ please help me

Dwsariator

Servant of All
Dear God please help me properly estimate the work that my company is good at and not a trade that we have to sub out with a risk of equipment damage and a price that's not correct because of too many unknowns. Or let my customers decide that it's better that we not bid anything because they are in a hurry and this job has not been properly engineered to be able to put an accurate estimate together. I have too much experience doing this work and my bosses and my younger foreman mean well and want extra work but they don't understand what I know and if you're not experienced at a certain trade then you should not try and learn the hard way and end up losing money and upsetting the customer. Help me either properly estimate what we can do well or not let me estimate the work at all. I can go find another job to estimate and make more profits than busting our selfs for only a 5% profit margin. Amen. Please soften the hearts of my bosses and my coworkers and my customers. I know what I am doing and I know not to do what we should not be trying to do. It's in your hands my lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you. Amen

We come before you, Lord, with a heart heavy with the burden of wisdom and discernment in the workplace. We lift up this brother in Christ, who seeks your guidance in making sound business decisions that honor you and protect the integrity of his work. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that you grant him the clarity and confidence to trust in your direction, even when those around him may not see the full picture.

Father, we ask that you soften the hearts of his bosses and coworkers, that they may recognize the value of his experience and the wisdom in his counsel. Your Word reminds us in Proverbs 15:22, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." We pray that his voice is heard and respected, not out of pride, but out of a desire to honor you in all things. If it is your will, Lord, move in the hearts of his customers to recognize when a job is not properly prepared, sparing them frustration and sparing this brother the weight of an ill-fated endeavor.

We also lift up the tension between financial gain and the integrity of the work. Your Word warns us in 1 Timothy 6:10, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows." We pray that this brother is not tempted to compromise his standards for the sake of profit, but instead finds contentment in doing work that is excellent and pleasing to you. If it is your will, Lord, open doors for him to find opportunities where his skills are valued and where he can glorify you through his labor.

We rebuke the spirit of frustration and impatience that may be at work in this situation. Your Word tells us in Ecclesiastes 7:9, "Don’t be hasty in your spirit to be angry, for anger rests in the bosom of fools." We pray that this brother remains patient and steadfast, trusting that you will provide for his needs in your perfect timing. We also pray for his younger foreman, that you would grant him humility and a teachable spirit, so that he may grow in wisdom and understanding.

Lord, we ask that you guard this brother’s heart against bitterness or resentment toward those who may not heed his advice. Help him to respond with grace and love, even in difficult conversations. Your Word instructs us in Colossians 3:23-24, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." May he find his satisfaction in serving you, knowing that his labor is not in vain.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is the way, the truth, and the life. Without him, we can do nothing, but through him, all things are possible. May this brother walk in the confidence of your promises, trusting that you will guide his steps and provide for his every need. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this so openly, and for the steady trust you’re placing in the Lord. That’s a solid place to stand when the people around you are pulling in a different direction.

We’ve seen that when work decisions get tangled up with pressure, it often helps to get really concrete before the next conversation. You know which trades your team handles well and which ones carry unacceptable risk. Try jotting down, on a single page, the top two or three types of work you’re confident bidding, and a short, plain list of the real costs that hit when you step outside that expertise: the equipment damage, the unknowns that blow up pricing, the razor-thin margins. Then ask for a brief sit‑down with your bosses, not to argue experience versus enthusiasm, but to invite them to problem‑solve with you. Something like, “I want to help us win profitable work. Here’s where I know we can deliver safely, and here’s what I’ve learned happens when we stretch into something we’re not yet built for. Can we talk through how to handle this one together?” That kind of honest clarity, offered calmly, often softens hearts more than a debate.

You’re not just protecting the bottom line; you’re protecting the team and the customers. That’s good stewardship.

Lord Jesus, we ask for clear thinking and a level heart for our friend. Give them words that are both truthful and gentle. Soften the ears and hearts of their bosses, coworkers, and customers, so that wisdom wins out over hurry. Guard this team from avoidable loss, and give our friend a deep, quiet confidence that You are handling what they’ve placed in Your hands. In Your name we pray, amen.

You feel like a man who has been given a ship to steer, but others are pressing you to carry a cargo you know will capsize it. Your hands know the weight of the work, your eye can measure the risks, and now you are set down between what your conscience tells you and what those who mean well are urging you to do. It is enough to make any sober man cry out to his Master.

Let me remind you of something that may steady your heart. There was a king, David, who had a great project in his soul, a house for God built of cedar and gold. It was a noble ambition, the kind that springs from love. But the Lord said, “No, not you.” And notice how tenderly God refused him. He did not treat David’s wish with scorn, nor did He chide him for dreaming it. Instead, He poured upon David a far greater blessing than if the work had been permitted, He gave him promises that would outlast a temple of stone. David’s obedience was seen as much in his not-doing as in his doing; he sat before the Lord and received what God had for him. So it is with you. You have offered your best judgment, your willingness to build, but it may be that God’s “no” to this bid is not a rebuke but a mercy wrapped up in a black-edged envelope. The 5% profit you fear is small enough, but far smaller is the pleasure of a man who has sailed straight into a storm he was warned against. Perhaps the Lord is saying, “Sit still, my servant; I have better cargoes ahead and smoother waters for you.”

And those whose hearts you pray for, your bosses, your foreman, do not imagine that their minds are iron gates that cannot swing open. I have often pictured the Master in the synagogue, looking round upon them that opposed Him. He did not waste words on obstinate men; He just looked at them, and His look had more in it of pity than of anger, more of compassion than of passion. That silent gaze could melt a flint. He can do the same today from His throne. You need not hammer at men’s hearts with anxious arguments; commend them to Him who can soften them without speech. He knows how to make the hardest face turn toward His love.

Cast your care upon Him, then, not as one who strives to earn a living by the sweat of his own scheming, but as one who has already found peace in Christ. Your standing with God does not depend upon one estimate well or ill made; it rests upon the finished work of Jesus. In Him you are accepted, and from Him all your daily bread will come, whether through this contract or through another that lies waiting around the bend. Let that truth be the keel beneath you in these churning waters.

Now, let us bow together.

Lord Jesus, You who seest all the hidden snags and all the honest fears of Your servant, we bring this burden to You. If it be Your will that this work should not be undertaken, then fold the door gently shut, and give Your child grace to accept it as from a Father’s hand. If it is Your will that the work proceed, then give that sharp eye and steady nerve that can bring it safely to harbor. Soften the hearts of those who stand in authority until they can hear the wisdom You have planted in a sober and experienced man. And in all things, keep our eyes upon You, our true Profit and our everlasting Portion. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to stand with you in prayer during this challenging time. It’s clear how deeply you care about your work, your team, and doing what is right in the eyes of the Lord. We have been lifting up your request, asking God to grant you wisdom in estimating the jobs your company takes on, to protect you from unnecessary risk, and to guide the hearts of your bosses, coworkers, and customers.

We pray that God has either given you the clarity to properly assess the work you’re best suited for or that He has redirected the opportunities so that you are not placed in a position where your experience is overlooked or undervalued. If the Lord has already answered this prayer in some way—whether through a change of heart, a shift in circumstances, or a peace that surpasses understanding—we would be so encouraged to hear how He has moved. Your praise report could be a blessing to others who are facing similar struggles.

If, however, the situation remains unresolved, we invite you to post this request again so that we may continue to intercede on your behalf. We stand with you in asking God to soften the hearts of those around you, to open doors for better opportunities, and to give you the confidence to walk in the wisdom He has already placed within you. You are not alone in this, and we believe God hears the cries of His children.

May the Lord bless you with discernment, favor, and peace as you seek Him in every decision. May He remind you of your worth and the value of your experience, and may He guide your steps toward work that honors Him and brings true profit—not just to your company, but to your spirit. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
