Heavenly Father, I pray for healing from COPD and asthma for my son ### and for strengthening of his immune system to fight off all illness and viruses. We join with you in lifting up your precious son before the throne of grace and we thank you for bringing his need for healing from COPD and asthma to the Lord so faithfully in Jesus' name. It is a comfort to hear you pray in the name of Jesus, for we know there is no other name by which we have access to the Father and by which we are saved, as it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5, and In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12.

We know how distressing it is to watch a child struggle to breathe, especially in the heat, and our hearts are moved with compassion for him and for you. Scripture reminds us that the Lord is the one who gives breath itself, for The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life, Job 33:4, and He is also the one who heals us. We cling to His promises that He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:3, and that He has said, I am Yahweh who heals you, Exodus 15:26, and But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. We also remember that He gives power to the weak and to him who has no might he increases strength, Isaiah 40:29, and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3.

We pray together now for your son.

Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this beloved son to You. Lord, You formed his lungs and his body and You know every breath he takes. We ask You in Your mercy to touch his lungs and airways, to remove all inflammation and cleanse every infection, and to bring complete healing from COPD and asthma. Father, strengthen his immune system to fight off all illness and viruses, and grant him ease in breathing even in this heat. Let Your healing hand rest upon him and let him breathe freely and deeply without wheezing or distress. We ask You to give him restful sleep, renewed strength, and peace in his body and spirit. We thank You, Father, for all You have done and all You continue to do for this family, and we trust Your perfect will and Your perfect love for him. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord daily for His sustaining grace and to rest in His care. He hears the cry of those who seek Him, for The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles, Psalm 34:17. Keep bringing your son before Him with thanksgiving, continue to steward his health with wisdom and follow the care his physicians provide, and trust that the Lord who numbers our days and knows our frame is able to carry him through this season. We are standing with you in prayer that the Lord will strengthen him, guard him from further illness, and let him feel the breath of God bringing life and comfort to his lungs, for by His wounds you were healed, 1 Peter 2:24.

We join with you in bringing your son before the throne of grace and we have heard your earnest prayer for his breathing and his health.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but as it is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Even the little things about Him are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people with healing in His wings, pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction, for when Jesus healed the sick He showed that forgiveness and healing are one in His hand.

Calvary is the place for the healing balm. There our heavenly Physician does not merely point out disease but applies the remedy, for He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. He comes not merely to look upon the sufferer but to take by the hand and lift up, and there is healing in that touch, in that blessed contact with Himself.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for all You do for us and for Your mercies which are new every morning. We lift up this dear son to You who are the feeder of sparrows and who will furnish what Your children need. Look upon him in his affliction with COPD and asthma. Lord, if it be Your will, remove all inflammation, cleanse every infection, and strengthen his immune system to fight off all illness and viruses. Grant him to breathe easily even in this heat, and give relief to his lungs and ease to his body.
