Please pray for me to learn to cook and clean better. My parents never taught me how to cook and clean. I'm ### years old and I was married at ###. My husband ### is trying to teach me how to cook and clean but I am getting severe spiritual attacks for trying to cook and clean. I want to learn how to budget and manage my money better also. My parents never taught me that either. Please pray that Jesus will teach basic life skills my parents never taught me that most people take for granted.

We lift you up before the Lord, dear sister, and we thank Him for your heart’s desire to grow in these areas of stewardship and service within your home. It is a noble and godly pursuit to seek excellence in managing your household, for Scripture tells us that a virtuous woman is one who "looks well to the ways of her household, and doesn’t eat the bread of idleness" (Proverbs 31:27, WEB). We also recognize that the enemy often attacks when we step into God’s will for our lives, especially in areas where we feel inadequate or unprepared. But take heart, for the Lord is your strength and teacher, and He delights in equipping His children for every good work.

It is not uncommon for the enemy to bring spiritual opposition when we seek to honor God in practical ways, such as serving our husbands and stewarding our homes well. The Bible warns us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). However, we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us (Romans 8:37, WEB), and we can stand firm in His power. Put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—as you press forward in learning these skills. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still and trust in Him (Exodus 14:14, WEB).

We also want to encourage you in the truth that God is your perfect Father, and He will teach you all that you lack. Jesus said, "It is written in the prophets, ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who hears from the Father and has learned, comes to me" (John 6:45, WEB). If your earthly parents did not teach you these things, your Heavenly Father will. He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6, WEB). Ask Him for wisdom, which He gives generously to all who seek it (James 1:5, WEB), and trust that He will guide you step by step.

As for budgeting and managing money, we remind you that everything we have belongs to the Lord, and we are called to be faithful stewards of His resources. Jesus taught us in the Parable of the Talents that those who are faithful with little will be entrusted with much (Matthew 25:21, WEB). Seek the Lord’s wisdom in this area, and consider studying Scripture on stewardship, such as Proverbs 21:20, which says, "Precious treasure remains in the house of the wise, but the fool devours it." Begin with small, manageable steps—such as tracking your expenses, setting a simple budget, and saving even a little—and trust the Lord to grow your ability over time.

We also want to affirm the beauty of your marriage and the role your husband is playing in teaching you. The Bible describes marriage as a picture of Christ and the Church, where husbands and wives serve one another in love (Ephesians 5:22-33, WEB). It is a blessing that your husband is patiently guiding you, and we pray that the Lord will strengthen your bond as you learn together. Let this season be one of unity and growth, where you both seek the Lord’s will for your home. Remember, "Two are better than one... for if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, WEB).

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, lifting her needs and desires to You. Lord, You are the God who sees her heart and knows her struggles. We ask that You would be her Teacher in every area where she feels lacking—cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and managing her home. Father, You have said in Your Word that You will instruct us and teach us in the way we should go (Psalm 32:8, WEB). We ask that You would do this for her, opening her eyes to understand and her hands to skillfully perform all that is needed.

Lord, we rebuke every spiritual attack that has come against her as she seeks to honor You in her home. Satan, we command you to flee in the name of Jesus Christ, for You have no authority here. Holy Spirit, we ask that You would fill her with Your peace and confidence, reminding her that greater is He who is in her than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4, WEB). Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and let no weapon formed against her prosper (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).

Father, we pray for her marriage, that You would bless her and her husband as they learn and grow together. Give him patience, wisdom, and kindness as he teaches her, and give her a teachable spirit and gratitude for his leadership. Let their home be a place of love, peace, and godly order, reflecting Your heart for marriage.

We also ask that You would teach her to be a wise steward of the resources You have entrusted to her. Give her discernment in budgeting, saving, and spending, and help her to honor You in all her financial decisions. Provide for her every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19, WEB), and give her contentment in all things.

Lord, we thank You that You are her Father, and that You will never leave her or forsake her. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, and let her find her identity and worth in You alone. Remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14, WEB), and that You delight in her progress, no matter how small it may seem.

We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. May Your will be done in her life, and may she bring You glory in all that she does. Amen.

Finally, sister, we encourage you to keep pressing forward, even on the days when it feels difficult. The Lord is with you, and He is faithful. Consider finding a mentor—perhaps an older woman in your church who can come alongside you and offer practical guidance (Titus 2:3-5, WEB). You are not alone in this journey. The body of Christ is here to support you, and most importantly, your Heavenly Father is cheering you on. He who began this good work in you will be faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6, WEB). Keep your eyes on Jesus, and trust Him to lead you every step of the way.

We're right there with you, sister. It's amazing how God can use even the most mundane tasks to draw us closer to Him and grow us in character. We believe that as you seek Him with an open heart, He will guide you every step of the way.

We want to echo the prayer of our friend, but we also want to share a verse that has encouraged us in times like these. In Philippians 4:13, the Apostle Paul writes, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We believe that as you put your trust in Jesus, He will give you the strength and wisdom you need to learn these new skills.

We also want to remind you that it's okay to start small. You don't have to have everything figured out right away. Just take one step at a time, and trust that the Lord will lead you. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day!

Let's keep praying for you, sister. We lift you up to the Lord and ask that He would fill you with His peace, patience, and wisdom as you navigate this season of learning and growth. We also pray that your husband would be a source of encouragement and support to you, and that your marriage would grow stronger as you learn together.

Keep your eyes on Jesus, and trust that He is with you, every step of the way. You've got this, sister, and we're cheering you on!

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
