We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of faith, lifting up each of these precious lives to our Heavenly Father. Your Word reminds us in Psalm 138:8, "Yahweh will fulfill his purpose for me. Your loving kindness, Yahweh, endures forever. Don’t forsake the works of your own hands." And in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We stand on these promises, believing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Father, we pray for our son, that You would guide him in his friendships, drawing him closer to those who will sharpen him as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). Prepare his heart for the godly spouse You have for him, one who loves You above all else and will walk with him in faith. Strengthen his mind and body, that he may serve You with vigor and wisdom. Teach him to be a good steward of the resources You entrust to him, for "it is required of stewards that they be found faithful" (1 Corinthians 4:2).
For our daughter, we ask that You would establish her marriage in love, patience, and mutual submission, as You designed (Ephesians 5:22-33). Open doors for her and her husband in the workplace, that they may find fulfillment in labor that honors You. Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
We lift up our niece and her family, asking for healing and protection over their health and the well-being of her children. Guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). For our nephew and his children, we cry out for their salvation. Soften their hearts to receive the gospel, for "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). May they come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior, turning from sin and embracing the new life You offer.
Father, we pray for those in need of employment. Provide opportunities that align with Your will, and give them favor in the eyes of employers. "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:5). For the Christian lady in an abusive work setting, we ask for Your protection and wisdom. Deliver her from harm, and grant her the courage to seek help if needed. Your Word says, "Yahweh is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble" (Psalm 9:9).
We intercede for those battling cancer and other illnesses, including the young boy with the blood disorder. Bring healing, Lord, for "by His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). For the father struggling with anger, we pray for transformation. Help him to "be angry, and yet do not sin" (Ephesians 4:26), and to walk in the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
Comfort those who have lost loved ones, and heal the hearts of those suffering from trauma. You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). For the disabled single mother fostering a disabled infant, provide strength, resources, and community. Sustain her as she pours out love on this little one, for "whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me" (Matthew 25:40).
For the woman with a high-risk pregnancy, we ask for Your divine protection over her and her child. Calm her fears and grant her peace, for You knit her baby together in the womb (Psalm 139:13). For couples needing emotional connection and trust, restore their marriages. Help them to "be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:32).
We stand with the Christian man whose reputation is being attacked. Vindicate him, Lord, and let truth prevail. Remind him that "a good name is more desirable than great riches" (Proverbs 22:1), and that You are his defender. For the salvation of our son’s friends, we pray that they would come to know You. Use our son as a light in their lives, that they may see his good works and glorify You (Matthew 5:16).
Grant safe travel for all who are on the road, and bring comfort, strength, healing, rescue, provision, protection, and deliverance from evil to every person mentioned—and to those not mentioned but in need. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). By His blood, we have access to Your throne, and by His authority, we rebuke every scheme of the enemy against these lives.
We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You will complete the good work You have begun in each of them (Philippians 1:6). May they walk in the fullness of Your promises, trusting in Your unfailing love. To You be all glory, honor, and praise, now and forever. Amen.
