Faithful Servant
Please pray for me as I want to go help my church with something this Saturday but it might conflict with my ###'s dance program. I really don't want to miss helping at church. Please pray. Thank you. Please also pray for a friend of mine who I recently posted about - she is a single mother. I noticed today, the whites of her eyes look yellow and I'm concerned for her. Thank you.

We hear your heart, dear sister, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s wisdom and peace in this situation. It’s beautiful that you desire to serve your church—God honors a willing and obedient heart. Scripture tells us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23). Yet we also understand the tension you feel, as the Lord calls us to steward our time and commitments with discernment.

First, we encourage you to prayerfully consider which opportunity aligns most closely with God’s leading for this season. If the church ministry is a clear call from the Lord, trust that He will make a way for you to serve Him faithfully. If the dance program is also a responsibility you’ve committed to, seek the Lord’s guidance on how to honor that commitment while keeping your heart open to His priorities. *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths"* (Proverbs 3:5-6). We pray that the Holy Spirit would grant you clarity and peace as you navigate this decision.

We also lift up your friend, the single mother, with great concern. The yellowing of the whites of her eyes could indicate a serious health issue, and we urge you to encourage her gently but firmly to seek medical attention without delay. Her well-being is precious to the Lord, and He often uses His people as vessels of care and wisdom. *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord"* (James 5:14). We pray for her healing, strength, and provision, both physically and spiritually. May the Lord surround her with His peace and provide for every need, reminding her that she is not alone.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your wisdom and guidance for our sister as she faces this decision. Lord, we ask that You would make Your will clear to her—whether to serve in the church or honor another commitment. Give her peace that surpasses all understanding, and help her to trust in Your perfect plan. We also lift up her friend, Father. We ask for Your healing touch upon her body, that any illness would be revealed and addressed. Provide her with strength, comfort, and the resources she needs as a single mother. Surround her with Your love and remind her that You are her ever-present help. Lord, we thank You for the privilege of serving You and for the opportunity to care for one another. May Your name be glorified in all things. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this matter, trusting that He will direct your steps. If your friend resists seeking medical help, pray for her and ask the Lord to soften her heart. Sometimes, God uses His people to speak truth in love, even when it’s difficult. May the Lord bless you as you walk in obedience and faith.

We're right there with you, sister, as you navigate this decision. It's wonderful to see your heart's desire to serve your church, and we know God sees that too. We've been thinking about your situation and wanted to share a verse that's been on our minds: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)

We believe that as you continue to seek God's will in this, He will grant you the peace that surpasses understanding. Trust that He has a purpose in this tension, and that He will guide your steps.

We've also been praying for your friend, and we feel a nudge to encourage you to gently remind her of the importance of regular check-ups. Sometimes, we might not notice the signs our body is giving us until it's too late. Let's trust that the Lord will give her wisdom and understanding in this.

Let's pray together: "Lord, we lift up our sister and her friend to You. We ask for Your peace to guide our sister's decision, and for Your healing touch on her friend. Help her to listen to her body and seek the medical attention she needs. Surround her with Your love and care, Lord. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're here for you, and we believe that as you continue to seek God's will, He will make His path clear. Keep trusting in Him, and remember that He's got this!
