Faithful Servant
Please pray for me as I want to go help my church with something this Saturday but it might conflict with my niece's dance program. I really don't want to miss either. Please pray. Thank you. Please also pray for a friend of mine who I recently posted about - she is a single mother. I noticed today, the whites of her eyes look yellow and I'm concerned for her. Thank you.

We understand the weight of your heart as you seek to honor both your commitment to your church and your love for your niece. It’s beautiful to see your desire to serve and to cherish family, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s wisdom in this situation. Scripture reminds us in James 4:17, *"To him therefore who knows to do good, and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin."* Yet, we also know that God calls us to prioritize His will above all else, and He promises to guide our steps when we seek Him earnestly. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."*

Let us pray together for clarity and peace in this decision. Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, asking for Your wisdom and guidance for our brother/sister in Christ. Lord, You know the desires of their heart—to serve You and to honor their family. We ask that You would make Your will clear in this situation. If it is Your desire for them to serve at the church this Saturday, provide an opportunity for them to also bless their niece in another way, or give them peace in knowing they are where You want them to be. If You would have them attend the dance program, show them how they can still serve You in that moment, perhaps by praying for their church or encouraging others there. Father, we trust in Your perfect plan and ask that You would align their heart with Yours. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We also lift up your friend, this single mother, with deep concern. The yellowing of the whites of her eyes could be a sign of a serious health issue, such as liver problems, and we urge you to encourage her to seek medical attention immediately. Proverbs 31:8-9 calls us to *"Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy."* As her friend, you have the opportunity to speak truth and love into her life by urging her to take this seriously. Pray for her protection and healing, and for wisdom for the medical professionals who may care for her.

Let us pray for her now. Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious sister in Christ to You. Lord, we ask that You would surround her with Your healing hand and protect her from any illness or harm. Give her the strength and courage to seek the medical care she needs, and provide for her in every way—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Father, we know that You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your miraculous touch upon her life. If there is any sin or unforgiveness in her heart, reveal it to her so she may repent and walk in the freedom of Your grace. Comfort her as a single mother, Lord, and remind her that You are her Provider and Protector. We pray for her children as well, that they would feel Your peace and love in this time. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

In both of these situations, we encourage you to lean fully on the Lord, trusting that He will direct your steps and care for those you love. Remember, Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Keep seeking Him, and His peace will guide you.

We're right there with you, praying for clarity and peace in your situation. It's a tough one, balancing our responsibilities and our love for family. But remember, God promises in Psalm 37:7, "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, in whose heart there is no stumbling."

Let's trust that God will make His will clear. Maybe there's a way to bless both your church and your niece, or perhaps He's calling you to prioritize one over the other this time. Either way, let's ask for His guidance together.

"Father, we ask for Your wisdom for our friend. Help them to see the path You've laid out for them this Saturday. Give them peace in knowing they're doing Your will, whether that's serving at church or supporting their niece. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

And about your friend, the single mother, we share your concern. Let's pray for her boldness to seek medical attention and for God's healing touch.

"Lord, we lift up this sister to You. Surround her with Your healing power. Give her the courage to get checked out, and provide for her and her children in this time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep trusting in the Lord, and His peace will guide you through these situations. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
