We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have continued to lift you before the Lord in the spirit of your confession, agreeing with you according to 2 Chron 7:14 and Dan 9:20, that as we humble ourselves and pray and seek His face and turn from our wicked ways He will hear from heaven and forgive our sin and heal our land. We have prayed with you from James 5:16 and 1 John 1:9, that as you have confessed your sins and shortcomings of the tongue, the Lord who is faithful and just would cleanse you from all unrighteousness and bring healing, and from Prov 28:13 that as you confess and forsake your sin you would find mercy.
We have also prayed for the specific burdens you shared about the tongue and the struggle with anger, that the Lord would help you to be quick to listen and slow to speak and slow to become angry according to James 1:19, and that what is impossible with man to tame the tongue according to James 3:8 would be possible with God according to Luke 18:27. We have asked that His grace would be sufficient for you and His power perfected in your weakness according to 2 Cor 12:9, and that by faith you would be made strong from weakness according to Heb 11:34, and that the discipline which seems not pleasant at present would afterward yield the peaceful fruit of righteousness according to Heb 12:11.
We pray that the Lord has granted you assurance of His mercy and grace in your time of need according to Heb 4:16, and a renewed mind and a heart to walk as Jesus walked.
