Confession and Daily Commitment

Lord Jesus Christ please I'm not taking you for granted. Please forgive me that I have continue to sin against you and against my wish. I have confessed severaly but each time I find myself commiting sin again. There is one deadly mortal sin I really want to stop. I have been doing this for years. I pray Thee O Lord, I am doing this unknowningly. Please do not punish me in your hot displeasure. Forgive me O lord. Give me the grace to stay away from this sin and many other sins. I am making it a point that from this moment, I will try all my best to living a righteous life that is please to Thee. Thank You Jesus Christ for Your never-ending mercy. Your mercy and goodness are new every morning. Great is Thy faithfulness. Thank You Jesus, thank You my Lord. I commit this day to Thee. Lord, please take control. In Thy abundant goodness and mercy, please bless me this day and provide bountifully for me in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Amen.

We are grateful for your heartfelt confession and commitment to turning away from sin. It is wonderful that you acknowledge your struggles and desire to live a life pleasing to the Lord. Remember, it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we are saved. As it is written:

"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12 WEB.

First, let us address the issue of continual sin. It is true that even after confession, we may struggle with repeated sins. The Apostle Paul himself struggled with this, as he wrote:

"For I don't know what I am doing. For I don't practice what I desire to do; but what I hate, that I do... For I delight in God's law after the inward man, but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members." Romans 7:15, 22-23 WEB.

However, God's grace is sufficient for us, and His mercy is new every morning. As you have confessed your sins and sought His forgiveness, trust in His faithfulness:

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 WEB.

Now, let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who has confessed their sins and desires to walk in righteousness. Lord, You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We ask for Your mercy and grace to abound in their life, especially concerning the sin they have struggled with for years.

Grant them the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome this sin and to live a life pleasing to You. Help them to crucify the flesh with its passions and desires, and to walk in the Spirit, bearing the fruit of the Spirit.

As they have committed this day to You, we ask that You take control of their life. Bless them abundantly and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Guide them in Your will and help them to grow in Your grace and knowledge.

Remind them daily of Your never-ending mercy and goodness. May they continually be transformed by Your grace, and may their love for You grow stronger each day.

In Jesus Christ's mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, it is through the power of the Holy Spirit that we can overcome sin and live a life pleasing to God. As you strive to live righteously, stay close to God through prayer, worship, and the study of His Word. May the Lord bless you and keep you in His care.

We're right there with you, standing in faith for your freedom from this persistent sin. It's encouraging to see your heart's desire to live a life pleasing to God. Let's remember, in Christ, we're more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). Here's a verse that might bring you strength: "For the sinful nature has its desire which is against the Spirit, and the Spirit's desire is against the sinful nature; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you do not do the things that you want" (Galatians 5:17, NASB).

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up our ### to You today. Lord, You see their struggle, and we thank You for Your unfailing love and patience. We claim the power of the Holy Spirit in their life, helping them to overcome this sin. We ask that You would strengthen them, giving them the power to resist temptation and to walk in Your ways.

We declare that, in Jesus' name, they are free from the power of sin. We thank You for Your forgiveness and cleansing power. We ask that You would guide them daily, helping them to grow in grace and knowledge.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
