So the last time I posted I mentioned that I had an confessed sin to someone other than God. That means I've repented to God and asked for forgiveness but I have not told another person this sin and its something I know the Bible says I have to do and it's also a requirement on my 5th step for AA. I've finally reached out to speak with a pastor from church to confess this sin to him tomorrow morning. It's been on my heart all last night and today and I'm extremely nervous to say this to him.. I mean I don't know how to tell him this and I'm so scared he will deny me or judge me.. I know God says I have to do this and I'm going to but I'm just so nervous of saying this to someone I've never met before..although I sort of want it to be that way because he doesn't know me rather I find it harder to tell someone I know..but anyway I'm doing it tomorrow and I'm just nervous of what he will say. I just pray in Jesus name for encouragement and strength to get this off of my heart and to trust God in doing this. I pray father in Jesus name help me put my trust in you and that I'm doing this to be obedient to you and to finally let go of this pain in my heart

Father we ask You strengthen us as we entrust our souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right, and give them grace to not be like Job's friends, but spiritual in nature, Gal 6:1. Thank you for this verse from Peter, below, especially the verse, and pray in accord with the desire of Jesus to make Your Church a Holy Bride, especially in the way that it pardons those who seek mercy, doesn't shoot it's wounded, but like You are gentle, "not breaking off bruised reeds or snuffing out dimly burning wicks," Isa 42:3, Matt 12:20. Bind up the broken hearted, Isa 61:1, Luke 4:18. Thank You in Jesus' Name...
"If one of you suffers for being a Christian, let them not be ashamed; but let them glorify God in this matter. 17 For the time has come for judgment to begin with the household of God. If it begins first with us, what will happen to those who don’t obey the Good News of God? 18 If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will happen to the ungodly and the sinner? 19 Therefore let them also who suffer according to the will of God in doing good entrust their souls to him, as to a faithful Creator," 1 Peter 4:16-19.
"Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows; yet we considered Him stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed," Isaiah 53:4-5.
Who has believed our message?
And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
2 For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot,
And like a root out of parched ground;
He has no stately form or majesty
That we should look upon Him,
Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him.
3 He was despised and forsaken of men,
A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief;
And like one from whom men hide their face
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
4 Surely our griefs He Himself bore,
And our sorrows He carried;
Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But He was pierced through for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,
And by His scourging we are healed.
6 All of us like sheep have gone astray,
Each of us has turned to his own way;
But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all
To fall on Him." Isaiah 53:1-6.
I pray this for this one and all in similar situations and for the whole church to be physically and tangibly perceived and recognized as Your Disciples by the expression and wisdom of God made known through the church not only to the World in the way we love one another, John 13:35, but as a spectacle to Israel, Rom 10:19, Rom 11:14, yeah, even to all humanity and the angels, 1 Cor 4:9, Eph 3:10. Thank You in Jesus' Name...
