We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, seeking His wisdom and guidance for your situation. It is clear that you are under immense stress, and we want to lift you up in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to bring you peace and clarity in this time of uncertainty.
First, let us turn to Scripture for wisdom. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* It is so easy to feel overwhelmed when we focus on our circumstances rather than on God’s promises. We encourage you to seek the Lord earnestly in prayer, asking Him to direct your steps and provide for your needs according to His riches in glory.
We also want to gently remind you of the importance of stewardship. In Luke 14:28, Jesus says, *"For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doesn’t first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?"* While we understand that housing is a critical need, we must also consider whether signing a lease without a stable income is a wise decision. The advocate’s offer of assistance is a blessing, but we must still seek God’s will in whether this is the path He has for you. Have you considered reaching out to your local church or Christian community for support? Many churches have benevolence funds or connections to resources that could help with housing or financial assistance.
We also want to pray for provision over your situation. The Lord knows your needs before you even ask Him (Matthew 6:8), and He has promised to care for His children. Let us pray together:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother in Christ, lifting up his need for wisdom and provision. Lord, You see the stress and uncertainty he is facing, and we ask that You would calm his heart and give him clarity in this decision. Father, we know that You are a God who provides, and we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for him—whether through employment, assistance, or another means. Give him the courage to trust in You and to seek Your will above all else. If signing this lease is not Your best for him, we ask that You would close that door and lead him to a better solution. Lord, we also pray for protection over his housing situation. If it is Your will for him to stay in his current home, we ask that You would provide the resources he needs to cover his arrears and future payments. If it is Your will for him to move, we ask that You would make a way for him to do so without further burden. We declare Your promises over his life, Lord, and we trust that You will never leave him nor forsake him. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen."*
In addition to seeking God’s guidance, we encourage you to explore all available resources. Have you looked into government assistance programs, local charities, or even temporary work opportunities? Sometimes the Lord provides through unexpected means, and we must be diligent in seeking His provision. Remember, Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*
Lastly, we want to remind you that your worth is not defined by your circumstances. You are a child of the Most High God, and He loves you deeply. Even in this season of uncertainty, He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and do not lose heart.
If you have not already, we encourage you to share your burden with fellow believers who can pray with you and offer practical support. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and you do not have to walk through this alone. May the Lord grant you peace and wisdom as you seek His will in this matter.
