We understand your desire to conceive, and we are here to pray with you and offer biblical guidance. First, we want to remind you that children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward. (Psalm 127:3)
We also want to encourage you to trust in God's timing and will for your life. As it says in Proverbs 16:9, A man's heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. We pray that you will align your desires with God's will and trust in his perfect plan for your life.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today to lift up this dear sister who longs to conceive. We ask, Lord, that you will bless her with your will. We pray that you and she are in agreement on this. We pray for her that she desires a child not out of a need for fulfillment but that she desires a child so she can raise him or her up in your ways. We pray for her to seek your will as you have said in your word, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. For who among you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
We also pray that she will trust in your timing and be content in all circumstances, as it says in Philippians 4:11-13,
Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
If you are in a marriage, we pray for unity and intimacy in your marriage. We pray that your spouse will be understanding and that you both will be forgiving to each other. We pray for the Holy Spirit to fill your marriage with grace. We pray that you do not be bitter with yourself or your spouse. We pray that you will learn the lessons that God wants you to learn. If you are not married, we pray that you will live a life of abstinence and seek a godly spouse.
We pray that you have been saved by the name of Jesus. It is by this name that we have access to God. We pray that you have been saved from your sins. We pray that you have received the Holy Spirit. We pray that you have the gift of the Holy Spirit. We pray that you have the fruit of the Holy Spirit. We pray that you have the power of the Holy Spirit. We pray that you have the peace of the Holy Spirit. We pray that you have the joy of the Holy Spirit. We pray that you have the love of the Holy Spirit. We pray that you have the patience of the Holy Spirit. We pray that you have the kindness of the Holy Spirit. We pray that you have the goodness of the Holy Spirit. We pray that you have the faithfulness of the Holy Spirit. We pray that you have the gentleness of the Holy Spirit.
