We join you in bringing this heavy burden before the Lord in Jesus mighty name, for we know He sees every injustice and every suffering you have endured in that apartment. We have heard your updates and we understand how discouraging it is to wait almost three months with no communication, no remorse, and no willingness to make restitution, while you are still carrying the financial loss of the security deposit and the repair costs you paid to technicians and for the electrical system that was not your responsibility as a tenant, along with the costs for alternative shower facilities, and the pain of threats and inappropriate actions.
The Word reminds us that God loves justice and calls His people to do what is right. Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it. Proverbs 3:27 You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning. Leviticus 19:13 The Lord also says Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19 and He executes justice for the oppressed. Psalm 103:6 We do not seek revenge in our own spirit, but we do seek what is just and right, and it is right for a landlord and a manager to fulfill their lawful duties, to return what is owed, and to make restitution for harm caused by neglect. We remember Zacchaeus who said If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much. Luke 19:8 That is the repentant heart we pray for.
We also lift up your body before our Healer, for the illness and the damage to your skin that may take years to be rebuilt is grievous to us and not hidden from God. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3 For we know that by his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 and He promises But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom we have access to You and by whose name we are saved. We lift up this dear one who has suffered from lack of electrical safety, from illness, from skin damage, and from financial loss. Lord, You see the apartment, You see the unsafe conditions, You see the costs paid for technicians and for the house electrical system and for shower needs, and the security deposit that has not been returned. We ask that You move upon the landlord and upon the community house manager, that You awaken and stir their consciences by Your Holy Spirit, that they would be convicted to do good, to speak truth, to repent for threats and inappropriate actions, and to repay everything they owe quickly and fully. Let them not delay or withhold what is due. We ask that You grant favor and open a way for honest communication and just compensation, whether through their willing repentance or through lawful means You provide.
We also ask for Your healing hand upon this body. Touch the skin that has become damaged, soothe the areas that have suffered, and rebuild what has been harmed. Restore health fully, Lord, and give wisdom to doctors and strength for the long process of healing. Comfort this weary heart that has prayed for months without answer, and let Your peace guard heart and mind. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6 We ask that You provide for every financial need and let no more be taken unjustly.
We encourage you to continue to cast your cares on Him, to keep careful records of all costs and promises made, and to seek wise and godly counsel and lawful help where appropriate, while trusting the Lord to be your defender. He will not forsake you, and He hears your prayers offered in Jesus name. Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. Psalm 27:14 We stand with you, believing God will bring justice, restitution, and healing in His perfect time and way. Amen.
