We join you together before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this heavy burden that you have carried for months. We hear your cry for justice and for healing, and we stand with you in persistent prayer, for the Lord does not grow weary of hearing His children call upon Him. Jesus taught us that we ought always to pray and not to faint, Luke 18:1, and that God will bring justice for His chosen who cry out to Him day and night, Luke 18:7.
We bring before the Lord the wrongs you have suffered in that apartment, the lack of electrical safety, the illness that followed, the added costs for alternative shower facilities, the threats and other inappropriate actions, the security deposit and the repair costs you paid to technicians and for the house electrical system that was not lawfully your responsibility as a tenant. The Lord sees what has been done in secret and in the open. He is a God of justice and righteousness. We are reminded that it is not for us to avenge ourselves, but to give place to God's wrath, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord, Romans 12:19. At the same time He calls those who have done wrong to do what is right. Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed, Isaiah 1:17. And, Don't exploit the poor, because he is poor, and don't crush the needy in court, for Yahweh will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them, Proverbs 22:22-23. We pray that the Holy Spirit will awaken and stir the conscience of the landlord and also of the community house manager, to convict them of what is right, to bring them to repentance, to speak the truth, to return what is owed, and to make full and fair compensation for the suffering and costs you have borne. We pray they will do to others as they would have others do to them, Luke 6:31, and that the Lord will turn their hearts toward honesty and mercy.
We also lift up your body to the Lord who is our healer. We are grieved to hear of the lasting damage to your skin and the pain and distress it causes, and that healing may take years. We ask the Lord to touch those areas where you were harmed, to heal the skin, to rebuild and restore what was damaged, and to ease all pain and distress. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:3. We claim His promise, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17, and we remember that by His wounds we are healed, Isaiah 53:5. We pray for complete restoration in His timing, for strength for each day of waiting, and for peace that guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7.
We pray now together. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace. You see all that has happened, every injustice, every unpaid debt, every threat, every night of suffering and every cost that was unfairly placed on Your child. We ask You to move mightily. Soften the hearts of the landlord and the manager, convict them by Your Holy Spirit, and lead them to repentance and to do what is just and good, to return the security deposit and all repair costs and to provide just compensation for the illness, the loss, and the distress. Let no more delay or dishonesty remain. We ask You also to be our brother and sister's defender and provider, to supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19, and to let Your justice shine like the dawn, Psalm 37:5-6. Lay Your healing hand upon their body, restore the skin and the tissues that were damaged, take away pain and bring renewal. Give wisdom and guidance for any lawful and practical steps to seek what is owed, and protect them from any further harm or threats. Grant patience and hope through these long months of waiting, and let them feel Your nearness, for You are near to those who are brokenhearted, Psalm 34:18. We trust Your perfect timing and Your perfect justice, and we ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus, our only mediator and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7, and to keep careful records of all communications, receipts, and medical documentation, and to seek wise and godly counsel and, where appropriate, lawful help from local authorities or tenant assistance, for God has also ordained authorities to uphold what is just, Romans 13:3-4. Do not let bitterness take root, but continue to walk in truth and love, trusting that the Lord will act. We will keep standing with you in prayer until you see His answer.
