We join with you in prayer in the mighty name of Jesus and we have heard the weight of what you have carried for these many months, the lack of electrical safety in your apartment, the illness and skin damage that followed, the costs you bore for repairs and for alternative shower facilities, the threats and inappropriate actions, and now the withholding of your security deposit and repair costs by both the landlord and the community house manager despite promises made. We know how discouraging it is to wait nearly three months without communication or remorse, and we bring your cause before the Lord who sees every injustice and every wound.
We pray that the Holy Spirit will awaken and stir the conscience of your landlord and of the community house manager to do what is right and to repent where they have done wrong. The Lord convicts the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment, as it is written in John 16:8, and we ask Him to bring conviction that leads to restitution. Zacchaeus declared in Luke 19:8, Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor. If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much, and this is the heart of repentance we pray would be worked in them. We ask God to move them to repay everything they owe you, the deposit, the costs you paid to technicians, and the costs for repairing the house electrical system which was not lawfully your responsibility as a tenant, and to provide fair compensation for your suffering and illness.
We also lift up your body for healing. We ask our compassionate Father to touch your skin where it has been damaged and to rebuild and restore what has been harmed, though it may take years in the natural. He is the One who heals all your diseases in Psalm 103:3 and who says in Jeremiah 30:17, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We pray in Jesus name for complete healing, for relief from pain and distress, and for renewed strength. We also pray He will heal you from the spiritual and emotional toll of threats and prolonged waiting, for He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3.
We are encouraged that God is a God of justice and mercy together. To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to Yahweh than sacrifice in Proverbs 21:15, and He commands us in Isaiah 1:17 to seek justice, relieve the oppressed. Scripture warns in James 5:4, Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies. Withholding what is due, especially a deposit and repayment promised, is serious before God. At the same time we are called to not avenge ourselves but to give place to God's wrath, for it is written in Romans 12:19, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord, and governing authorities are appointed to execute justice as described in Romans 13:4. Therefore we encourage you to continue to pursue what is right through lawful and orderly means while trusting God, to keep careful records of all payments, communications, promises, medical documentation, and repair invoices, and to seek wise and godly counsel and, if needed, lawful legal help or tenant advocacy in your area. This is not contrary to faith but is a proper use of the means God has provided for justice.
We pray for your peace and provision as you wait. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God in Philippians 4:6, and we pray His peace which surpasses all understanding will guard your heart. We ask that He will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus in Philippians 4:19 while the repayment is still outstanding.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace together. You see our affliction, You know every cost borne and every sleepless night, and You know the condition of our skin and body. We ask You to convict the landlord and the manager, to turn their hearts toward honesty and restitution, to prompt them to communicate, to confess any wrongdoing, and to repay quickly what is owed with appropriate compensation. We ask You to restrain any further threats or inappropriate actions and to protect us. Lay Your healing hand upon our skin and body, restore what was damaged, and grant wisdom to doctors and patience to us as healing continues. Provide for every financial need, give us favor with authorities if we must appeal, and help us to walk in forgiveness while still seeking what is just, trusting that You are our defender and healer. We thank You that we have access to You only through Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12, and we trust in His name for justice, mercy, and complete restoration. Amen.
