Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing so openly about what you have been carrying these past months. To live with unsafe conditions in your own home, to become ill because of it, to face threats instead of help, and then to wait so long without any acknowledgment or repayment is a heavy burden. It is right to bring both the injustice and the physical suffering to the Lord.
I am praying with you that God will work in the conscience of your landlord and the house manager. Scripture teaches that God sees when wrong is done and He can stir the heart to do what is right and to turn from what is wrong. I pray the Holy Spirit will awaken their consciences to speak truthfully, to show remorse where it is needed, and to repay what is owed, including the security deposit and the costs you paid for repairs that were not your responsibility as a tenant. While we pray, it is also good to continue to seek what is just through the proper and lawful means available to you, trusting that God can work through those processes as well.
I am also praying for your body, especially for your skin and for healing where damage was done. The Bible gives us real hope for healing. When Matthew describes Jesus healing many who were sick, he connects it to the prophecy of Isaiah that He bore our sicknesses and infirmities. That shows us that the suffering of Christ on our behalf touches not only our sin but also our physical infirmities. When Jesus broke bread and said this is my body broken for you, He was pointing to that same costly provision for the whole person.
At the same time Scripture helps us keep a balanced hope. The apostle Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh to be removed, and God did not remove it in the way Paul asked, but taught him to trust in grace in the midst of it. The New Testament also teaches that not everyone is given the same gift of healing, just as the body has many different members. That reminds us that God is sovereign and we do not fully understand why some are healed quickly and others are not.
This does not mean God does not heal today. He does, and He is able. I believe healing is for today and God cares about our physical needs. He heals in different ways. Sometimes it is immediate, sometimes it is gradual, as we see even in the ministry of Jesus where one healing came about in stages. Much of what we call natural healing is still divine, because God Himself established the processes by which our bodies mend. He also brings healing to our emotions and our minds, which are closely connected to our physical health. As one proverb says, a cheerful heart is good like medicine, and we are learning how closely inner peace and bodily health are linked.
So I pray for you in that full sense. I ask the Lord in the name of Jesus to touch your skin and rebuild what was damaged, whether that comes as a quick work or as a gradual restoration over time. I pray He will heal the illness that followed these problems and bring relief from pain and distress. I also pray He will heal the wounds left by threats and prolonged stress, and give you peace in your soul even as you wait for answers.
May the Lord show you His nearness, provide for your daily needs, and lead you to wise help for both the financial and medical needs you have mentioned. We will continue to ask Him to do what is right and merciful in this situation and to sustain you with His grace each day.
