We join you in prayer in Jesus mighty name and we thank you for sharing these heavy burdens with us so we can seek the Lord together for justice, healing and restoration.
We have heard your cries about the lack of electrical safety in the apartment, the illness and skin damage that followed, the costs you bore for alternative shower facilities, repairs that were not your responsibility as a tenant, the unreturned security deposit, the threats and other inappropriate actions, and the long silence of three months without communication, remorse or willingness to make things right from the landlord and the community house manager. The Lord sees all that has happened, even the details that have been redacted for privacy, and He is a God of justice and mercy.
The Scripture tells us that He defends those who are wronged. Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Isaiah 1:17. And again, Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it. Proverbs 3:27. When wages or deposits or repayment are withheld, the Lord takes notice, for you shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning. Leviticus 19:13. We pray that what has been withheld from you will be restored, as Zacchaeus declared, If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much. Luke 19:8.
We also lift up the landlord and the community house manager before the Lord. We pray as you asked that their conscience would be awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and to repent. When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment. John 16:8. We ask God to give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them and take away the stony heart out of their flesh. Ezekiel 36:26, that they would turn and that their sins would be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. Acts 3:19. We pray they will choose honesty over hardness of heart and make full restitution for the suffering, the repair costs and the security deposit.
We pray too for your healing. We are so sorry for the prolonged suffering in your body and the damage to your skin that may take years to heal. We ask the Great Physician to touch you. Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3. For we claim His promise, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17. We pray that He will heal the affected areas, calm inflammation, rebuild what was damaged and restore your skin completely according to His will, and give wisdom to any medical professionals caring for you.
We continue to stand with you in this long wait. We know discouragement can grow when there has been no communication for months, but Jesus taught that we ought always to pray, and not to faint. Luke 18:1. Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9. We encourage you to commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this. Psalm 37:5. While trusting Him, we also encourage you to keep careful records of all costs, communications and promises made, and to seek godly and lawful counsel regarding tenant rights and proper channels for justice, for authorities are established by God to praise those who do well and to correct wrongdoing. Romans 13:3-4. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21, and do not let bitterness take root, but be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32. Seeking what is rightfully owed is not vengeance, for Vengeance belongs to me, says the Lord. Romans 12:19, but it is a pursuit of justice which the Lord loves, for Justice and righteousness are the foundation of his throne. Psalm 89:14.
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom we have access to You and by whom alone we are saved. We lift up our dear one who has suffered in this apartment and in body. Lord, You have seen the unsafe conditions, the illness, the pain to the skin, the financial loss, the threats and the silence. We ask You to bring justice to light. Awaken the conscience of the landlord and the community house manager, convict them by Your Holy Spirit, lead them to repentance and to repay everything they owe, the security deposit, the technician and electrical repair costs, the compensation for suffering, shower costs and all other losses. Soften their hearts to communicate with honesty and humility and to do what is right without further delay.
Lord, we ask for Your protection over our dear one from any further threats or inappropriate actions. Be their refuge and strength. We ask for complete healing in the areas where damage was received. Touch the skin, restore what was harmed, rebuild health, take away pain and grant peace of mind and sleep. Provide for every financial need and let no more burden fall unjustly on them. Guard their heart from anger and despair and fill them with Your peace which surpasses all understanding. Philippians 4:7.
We trust Your timing and Your goodness and we will continue to pray until we see Your answer. In Jesus mighty name we pray, amen.
