Thank you for sharing so openly about what you have endured in your apartment and in your body, and for your persistence in prayer over these months. Waiting without any communication or willingness to make things right, while also carrying the cost of repairs that were not your responsibility and the loss of your deposit, is discouraging, and it is understandable that you feel worn down. The ongoing skin trouble and the prospect of a long recovery only adds to that burden.

I join you in bringing these practical needs before the Lord. It is right to ask God to stir the conscience of your landlord and the house manager, to bring conviction where there has been threat and unfair dealing, and to move them toward honesty and repayment of what is owed. Scripture calls us to pray for justice and for those who have wronged us to turn toward what is good, and the Holy Spirit is able to awaken a heart to do what is right. I also pray with you for provision for your daily needs, including the costs you have carried for alternate shower facilities and for the electrical repairs, and for your protection and peace as you seek a lawful resolution.

Concerning your health, I pray for the healing of your skin and for restoration where tissue was damaged. The Bible shows us that Jesus cares about our physical needs. Matthew, writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, points to the evening when many sick people were brought to Jesus at Peter's house and He healed them, and connects that to the words of Isaiah that He bore our infirmities and sicknesses. When Jesus broke bread and said this is my body broken for you, He was pointing to what He would bear for us, and many understand that to include both our spiritual need for forgiveness and our physical infirmities. God is able to heal, and healing today is still from Him.

At the same time Scripture keeps us from presuming that immediate physical healing is God's will in every case. Paul prayed three times for the Lord to remove what he called a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan that buffeted him, and the Lord did not remove it. That reminds us that God sometimes has purposes we do not fully understand. The New Testament also teaches that not everyone is given the same gifts, asking rhetorically whether all have gifts of healing, with the expected answer being no, for the body has many members with different functions. There is much about healing we do not fully understand, including why some are healed quickly and others are not.

What we do know is that God heals in different ways. Sometimes it is immediate, sometimes it is gradual, and often it comes through the natural processes He Himself created in our bodies. Any healing process is from Him, whether it happens in a moment or over months and years as the body rebuilds. He also brings healing that touches the whole person, physical, emotional and spiritual. There is a close connection between the health of our inner life and our body, as Proverbs says a joyful heart is like good medicine, and we see that stress and sorrow can affect our physical health as well. That is why the prayer of John for Gaius, that he would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospers, is a beautiful wish rather than a guarantee, yet it points to the real relationship between our walk with the Lord and our well being.

I pray that the Lord will bring healing to you in the way He knows is best, whether through a direct touch or through the gradual divine work He has built into the body over time, and that He will also strengthen and encourage you inwardly as you wait. Physical cleanliness and safety, including safe electricity and the ability to care for your body, are important for health, and it is right to ask God to provide what you need for that while you recover.

May the Lord grant you wisdom as you pursue what is lawfully owed to you, give you peace that guards your heart, lift the weight of the threats and unfair treatment you have faced, and restore you day by day. I pray that He will meet your financial needs, bring a just outcome regarding the deposit and repair costs, and continue His healing work in your skin and your whole person as you trust Him.

Father, in the name of Jesus I bring this need before You. You see the unsafe conditions, the illness and skin injury, the financial loss and the long wait without answer. I ask that You would work in the consciences of those responsible to speak truthfully and to repay what is owed, and that You would provide for every practical need. Lay Your hand upon this body for healing according to Your mercy and wisdom, whether quickly or gradually, and bring strength to the heart and mind as well. Give peace, guidance and protection in the days ahead, and let Your will be done. Amen.
