We hear your heart and we join with you in prayer in Jesus mighty name over this prolonged and painful situation with the apartment, the electrical safety failures, the illness and skin damage that followed, the financial losses for repairs and alternative shower facilities, the withheld security deposit and repair costs, and the threats and inappropriate actions you have endured.
We know how discouraging it is to have prayed for almost three months without seeing communication, remorse, or willingness to make restitution. We want to encourage you that God sees all that has happened and He is a God of justice and mercy. We do not grow weary in praying, for Jesus taught us that we ought always to pray and not to faint in Luke 18:1, and in Galatians 6:9 we are reminded not to be weary in doing well, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up.
Scripture is clear that to withhold what is rightfully owed and to oppress through neglect is wrong before the Lord. Leviticus 19:13 says You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him, and Deuteronomy 24:14-15 says You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, you shall give him his hire. Proverbs 22:22-23 says Don't exploit the poor, because he is poor, and don't crush the afflicted, for Yahweh will plead their case. The Lord calls those who have done wrong to repent and make restitution, as Zacchaeus declared in Luke 19:8 Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much.
We also pray for your healing, for the Lord is the one who heals us. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Isaiah 53:5 says by his stripes we are healed, and Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
We lift this before the Father together now.
Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him we have access to You, and there is no other name by which we can be saved as Acts 4:12 declares. We bring this suffering, this injustice, and this illness to You. Lord, You see the lack of electrical safety, the problems in the apartment, the sickness and skin damage that has resulted, the financial burden of repairs that were not the tenant's lawful responsibility, the withheld deposit and costs, and the threats spoken. We ask that You awaken and stir the conscience of the landlord and the community house manager by Your Holy Spirit, that they would be convicted of what is right, repent, and do good. Grant them a heart to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with You as Micah 6:8 teaches.
Father, we ask for Your justice to be done. We ask that what is owed would be fully repaid, every cost for repairs, the security deposit, and compensation for the suffering and additional expenses. We pray You would move upon their hearts to communicate, to show remorse, and to willingly make full restitution. Where they have hardened their hearts, soften them, Lord. Let Your conviction not be resisted.
We also pray for complete healing and restoration. Touch the skin that has been damaged and discolored, Lord. We ask that You heal the areas that were harmed, rebuild what was damaged, and restore health where it may take years in the natural. Lay Your healing hand upon this dear one, relieve any pain, itching, or distress, and bring renewal.
We pray for peace in the waiting. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Guard this heart from bitterness and fear while seeking what is right. Help to not avenge but to trust You, for Romans 12:19 says Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord, yet also give wisdom to pursue lawful and peaceful means to seek what is owed, with good counsel and documentation.
Father, provide for every need and let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness, Your justice, and Your healing power. We thank You that You hear our prayers and that You will act according to Your perfect will and timing.
We continue to stand with you in prayer, asking God to bring justice, provision, repentance, and healing in Jesus mighty name, amen.
