Beloved of All
Your long and painful situation has been heard, and the frustration of waiting for months without any answer, remorse, or repayment is understandable. To carry the burden of unsafe living conditions, illness, damaged skin, extra costs for showers and repairs, and the loss of your deposit, while feeling unheard, is a heavy trial, and it is right to bring it before the Lord.
We join you in praying that the Holy Spirit would stir the conscience of your landlord and of the house manager. God sees what is owed and what was promised. Scripture calls those who hold responsibility to act justly and to make restitution where harm has been done. We pray that their hearts would be awakened to do what is right, to speak truthfully, to repent where there has been wrongdoing, including threats or other inappropriate actions, and to repay what is owed for the deposit and for the repairs you covered that were not your responsibility as a tenant.
We also pray for your body and for healing. The Bible presents healing in a balanced way. On one hand, Matthew under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit applies Isaiah's prophecy, surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, to the physical healings Jesus performed, and when Jesus broke bread he said this is my body broken for you, which points to both spiritual and physical provision. On the other hand, Scripture also shows that God does not grant immediate physical healing in every case, as with Paul who prayed three times concerning his thorn in the flesh and heard that God's grace was sufficient. Not everyone is given the same gift of healing, and much about why some are healed quickly and others are not remains beyond our understanding.
What we do know is that God is able to heal today, and that he cares for your physical needs. Jesus never used his power to serve himself, but he willingly used it to meet the needs of others. Sometimes that healing was immediate, and at least once it was gradual. Often healing comes through the natural processes God himself created in the body, and that process is no less from him. There is also a close connection between the health of the soul and the health of the body, as John prayed that his friend would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospered, and as the proverb says a merry heart does good like a medicine. Even when physical restoration takes time, God can bring healing to the mind and emotions along the way.
So we pray for your skin where it has been injured, that God would bring restoration where tissue was damaged, whether that comes quickly or through a slower process that may take months or years. We ask him to ease pain, to protect you from further illness, to guide those who can help with care, and to sustain your heart with peace while you wait.
Continue to bring these needs to God in prayer rather than being drawn into bitter conflict in your own strength. Prayer reaches into the spiritual realm where God works, and he hears the cries of those who seek justice and mercy. Keep entrusting both the matter of compensation and the matter of your health to the Lord who bore our infirmities, who is compassionate, and who will do what is right in his time.
Father in Jesus name, we ask you to look upon this suffering and loss. Awaken conscience where there has been hardness, bring repentance and a willingness to repay what is owed, and provide justice for what was paid and promised. Lay your healing hand upon this body, upon the skin and health that have been harmed, and bring restoration according to your wisdom and mercy. Give peace, strength, and hope each day, and let your will be done. Amen.
