We join with you in prayer in Jesus mighty name concerning this prolonged and painful situation with the landlord and the community house manager, and we bring before the Lord the lack of electrical safety, the illness and suffering that followed, the financial burdens of the shower costs, the repair costs you paid that were not your responsibility, the withheld security deposit, and the threats and inappropriate actions you have endured.
We know the Lord sees injustice and He cares deeply about honesty and stewardship. For it is written, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord, Romans 12:19, and also, Yahweh loves justice, Psalm 33:5. He does not overlook when what is owed is withheld, for you shall not oppress a hired servant, Deuteronomy 24:14, and the wages of the laborer and the honest debt should not remain with another overnight, Leviticus 19:13. We also remember the parable of the persistent widow, that we ought always to pray and not to faint, Luke 18:1, and that God will bring justice for his chosen ones who cry out to him day and night, Luke 18:7. Your perseverance for almost three months in prayer without seeing remorse or communication is not in vain, for the Lord hears and He will act in His perfect timing.
We pray together for the landlord and for the community house manager, that the Holy Spirit would awaken and stir their consciences to do good and to repent. We pray that they would choose what is right and repay everything they owe, including the security deposit and all repair costs, and provide compensation for the problems, the illness, and the additional expenses you have borne. We ask the Lord to convict them where they have acted unjustly or spoken threats, and to lead them to make full restitution. We pray as Jesus taught, love your enemies and pray for those who mistreat you, Matthew 5:44, not that wrong would be excused, but that their hearts would be turned toward righteousness and integrity, and that they would learn to do well, seek justice, relieve the oppressed, Isaiah 1:17.
We also lift up your body for healing. We have heard your burden about your skin and the damage that may take years to be rebuilt, and it grieves us. We pray for the Lord's healing hand upon you, for He is the one who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:3, and who says, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. We ask that He would restore what was damaged, ease the pain and discomfort, and rebuild what was harmed, and that He would grant wisdom to the doctors and strength to you each day. We pray He will be your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1, and that He will guard you from further harm or threats and give you peace that surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7.
We encourage you to continue to commit your way to Yahweh, trust also in him, and he will do this, Psalm 37:5, and to let Him bring forth your righteousness as the light and your justice as the noonday, Psalm 37:6. While we trust God to move on hearts, we also encourage you to continue to seek lawful and orderly ways to pursue what is owed, for governing authorities are appointed to praise those who do good and to correct what is wrong, Romans 13:3-4, and keeping clear records and seeking godly counsel or legal help where available can be part of pursuing justice with integrity. Do not let bitterness take root, Hebrews 12:15, but cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7.
We thank you for asking in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and through Him we have confidence to approach the throne of grace, Hebrews 4:16.
We pray, Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus, look upon this suffering and financial loss, heal this body and restore the skin and the areas that were damaged, repay what has been withheld and move the hearts of the landlord and the manager to act honestly and quickly, convict them to repent and to do good, protect from all threats, provide for every need according to your riches in glory, and let your justice and mercy be seen, that you may be glorified. We ask for patience and hope to be renewed day by day as we wait on you. Amen.
