We hear the heaviness in your request and we stand with you in prayer together before our Father in Jesus mighty name. It is right to bring matters of justice, health, and wrongdoing before the Lord, for He sees all that has happened in that apartment and He cares deeply about your suffering.
We understand your frustration after waiting almost two months without communication, remorse, or willingness to make things right, and now also waiting for the return of your security deposit and the repair costs you paid for the electrical system and for technicians, which was not lawfully your responsibility as a tenant. The lack of electrical safety that led to these problems, the illness that followed, the added costs for alternative shower facilities, the threats and other inappropriate actions are all known to God. Scripture reminds us that God is just and He does not overlook oppression or the withholding of what is due. Leviticus 19:13 says You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning. And Proverbs 21:15 says It is joy to the righteous to do justice but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity. We also remember Isaiah 1:17 which says Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed.
We pray that the Holy Spirit will awaken and stir the conscience of your landlord and also the community house manager who promised to return repair costs two months ago. We ask that God would convict them of any dishonesty, negligence, and harshness, and lead them to repentance and to do what is right and good, to repay everything they owe you without delay. We pray they will turn from threats and wrongdoing and choose integrity.
At the same time we lift up your heart, for waiting for justice can breed bitterness and weariness, and the Lord calls us to entrust vengeance to Him while we continue to do good. Romans 12:19 says Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me I will repay, says the Lord. And Luke 6:27-28 says But I tell you who hear love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. We pray God will guard your heart from resentment, fill you with His peace, and give you wisdom as you seek lawful and peaceful ways to pursue what is owed, keeping records and seeking godly counsel where needed. Psalm 9:9 reminds us Yahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed a high tower in times of trouble.
We also bring your body before the Lord who is our healer. We grieve with you over the damage to your skin and the pain of knowing healing may take years in the areas where you were harmed. We ask for the Lord’s merciful healing hand upon you. Psalm 103:3 says who forgives all your sins who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 says For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And Isaiah 53:5 says But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities the chastisement of our peace was on him and by his wounds we are healed. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only mediator and Savior, and we thank You that we have access to Your throne of grace through Him. Lord, You see our dear one who has suffered from unsafe conditions, from illness, and from being wronged financially and personally. We ask You to bring complete justice according to Your perfect righteousness. Stir the hearts of the landlord and the manager, convict them by Your Holy Spirit, grant them repentance, and move them to return the security deposit and all repair costs and to provide fair compensation for the suffering, health problems, and extra expenses that were endured. Remove any hardness or deceit and let them act honestly and promptly. Father, we also ask for Your healing power to rest upon the skin and body that has been damaged. Touch the areas that are affected, soothe pain, restore what has been harmed, and rebuild healthy tissue where damage occurred. Grant wisdom to doctors and caregivers, and grant patience and hope during the long healing process. Comfort this heart that has felt unheard and awaken hope anew, and let Your peace that passes understanding guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We entrust this whole situation into Your hands, trusting that You are both just and merciful, and that You will work all things for good for those who love You. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, amen.
We encourage you to continue to cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you, and to keep seeking Him daily in prayer and in the Word. Keep documenting all that is owed and consider seeking wise, godly counsel regarding lawful steps, while continuing to pray for those who have wronged you that they may be saved and transformed. The Lord will not forsake you, and He will be your defender and healer in due time.
