Compensation

Kensem

Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (###) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, ### problems, ###, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for almost two months, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

Update: The landlord hasn't returned the security deposit or the repair costs I paid the technicians... Please pray that he repays everything he owes us!

Update: The community house manager hasn't returned the repair costs, though she promised to do so two months ago. I also paid to repair the house's electricity system which is not lawfully my responsibility to cover the cost as a tenant.
My skin has become ### and ### in the areas where I received ###. It may take years for ###, which is awful. Please pray that ### heal and that ### is rebuilt where the ### was damaged.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation in fervent prayer. Father, we ask for Your justice and mercy to prevail in this matter. The struggles and injustices faced here are not unseen by You, every detail of the electrical hazards, the illness that followed, the financial burdens, and the emotional toll have been known to You from the beginning. We stand on Your Word, which declares, "The LORD works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed" (Psalm 103:6). Lord, we ask that You move mightily on behalf of this situation, awakening the conscience of the landlord and the community house manager. Let Your Holy Spirit convict them of their responsibility to make things right, as Scripture commands, "Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it" (Proverbs 3:27).

We rebuke the spirit of greed, neglect, and hardness of heart that has allowed this injustice to persist. The lack of communication, remorse, or willingness to compensate is not of You, Lord. We pray that You break every chain of indifference and stir these individuals to repentance and action. Let them understand that their actions, or lack thereof, have real consequences, and that they will answer to You for how they have treated others. "For God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap" (Galatians 6:7). We declare that restitution will be made in full, every penny owed, every repair cost covered, and every promise fulfilled.

Father, we also lift up the physical healing that is needed. The damage to the skin and the long road to recovery are not beyond Your power. We pray for complete restoration, believing in Your promise that "by His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). Where there has been harm, let there be wholeness. Where there has been brokenness, let there be rebuilding. We ask that You strengthen faith and patience during this waiting season, reminding us that "those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength" (Isaiah 40:31).

We also want to gently address the mention of praying "in Jesus' mighty name" in the request, as this is the only name by which we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or through which our prayers are heard (Acts 4:12). If there has been any reliance on other names, powers, or influences, we encourage turning fully to Christ, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

Lord, we ask that You provide wisdom and favor in dealing with the legal and financial aspects of this situation. If there are steps that need to be taken to pursue justice, give clear direction and courage to take them. Let no fear or intimidation hinder the pursuit of what is right. We also pray for protection over emotions and mental well-being, as prolonged stress can take a toll. Fill this situation with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We declare that this situation will not end in defeat but in victory. The landlord and manager will be moved to do what is right, the finances will be restored, and healing will come. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray and believe. Amen.

We have been sitting with your story and the long stretch of waiting you describe. Two months with no answer about money you paid out of pocket, plus the added strain of threats and having to find other places to shower, would wear anyone down. To carry a painful skin condition that may take a long time to improve makes the whole burden even heavier, and we hear how much you are hoping for both justice and healing.

We are praying with you for the practical needs you named and for your health. For the financial part, it can help to keep everything in one place, receipts for the electrical work and for the alternative showers, copies of messages where repayment was promised, and a clear timeline of what happened and when. If you have not already, a local tenant advice service or housing counselor can often look over those papers with you and explain the next options for getting a deposit and repair costs returned, sometimes starting with a simple mediation conversation before anything more formal.

For your skin, we join you in asking God for healing and for strength while you wait. Please keep seeing a trusted medical professional for care and follow up alongside prayer, so they can monitor how you are healing over time.

Father, we bring this whole situation to You in Jesus name. We ask for a fair and timely resolution, for provision for what is owed, for protection and peace in this housing situation, and for healing and restoration where skin was damaged. Give wisdom for each next conversation and steady hope in Your care. Amen.

Your long and painful trial has been brought before the Lord, and we have heard your cry for justice and for healing. For almost two months you have waited for a word of remorse or a just repayment, and still the landlord withholds what is due, the deposit and the cost of the repairs which you bore, and the manager of the house has not kept her promise to repay you for the work upon the electrical system which was never your lawful burden. Added to this is the bodily affliction you bear, the injury to your skin and the slow and grievous prospect of its healing, together with the cost and trouble of seeking other means for daily needs, and the threats and unworthy dealings that have wounded you further.

We will pray with you in the mighty name of Jesus that the Holy Spirit would awaken and stir the conscience of the landlord and of the manager, that they may repent and do what is right and good. It is the Lord who loves justice and who requires that what is owed be rendered. As the law provided for the absolute forgiveness of debt and yet also for the honest release of obligation, so we ask that God would move these who are indebted to you to make full restitution, to return the deposit and every cost you have laid out, and to make compensation for the suffering that came through their neglect of safety. May the Lord who sees all that is done in secret bring them to a mind to act justly and to speak truthfully, and to cease from every threatening or inappropriate action.

We pray also for your healing. There is a word we love, that the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. When Jesus healed the man sick of the palsy He first said, Thy sins be forgiven thee, and pardon and healing were one in His hand. So we entreat the Sun of Righteousness to rise upon you with healing in His wings. May the Lord who forgives all our iniquities also heal all our diseases, and restore your skin and rebuild what has been damaged, though the physicians say it may be long. He is able to do it in a moment, and He is able to sustain you through years of waiting. We ask that He would give wisdom to those who care for you and grant you patience and peace while you wait upon Him.

And while we pray for justice, we would also point you to that blessed word, There is forgiveness with Thee. Whatever your own need of mercy may be, there is forgiveness with God through Jesus Christ, full and free, without condition to the repenting sinner who trusts in Him. The tally is destroyed and the record nailed to the Cross for all who believe. And because we have received such great forgiveness, we are called to a joint stock business of mutual forgiveness, forgiving one another even as Christ forgave us. This does not deny the debt that is owed to you nor excuse wrongdoing, but it keeps your own heart from being consumed by bitterness while you seek what is right. May the Lord keep you tender toward mercy even as you rightly seek what is just.

We will continue to bear you up before the throne. May the Lord vindicate the right, supply your needs, quiet your spirit, and let you prove that there is both forgiveness and healing with Him, now and eternally. Amen.
