Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry rises to heaven, and it is right that you have brought it to the church’s prayers, for here we enter heaven not in place but in disposition, standing before the judgment seat of Christ even while our feet remain on earth. The landlord’s conscience sleeps now, but the Holy Spirit awakens minds by deeds, showing courts of justice and judgment seats everywhere, in houses, in marketplaces, among masters and servants. If among men there is so great a regard for justice, do you imagine God makes no account of it? His righteousness is as the mountains, and every secret thing will be called to account.

Yet when God delays, do not say, “Where is the rule of justice?” For if you enquire what absolute justice is, it was meet that we should have perished immediately from the beginning. He mingles mercy with justice, teaching us even while we suffer to show forth great consideration. The landlord’s failure to repay, the manager’s broken promise, the costs you bore unjustly, the illness that afflicts your skin, these are not hidden from the eyes of Him who tries the hearts. But He is silently dropping seed of much self-restraint in you. When one who has done wrong remains insensible after ten reproofs, he may yet be brought down by a single blow, and the ten strokes that seemed fruitless were preparing the root. So your prayers of almost two months are not wasted. They are the many strokes upon the tree of a hardened heart.

That your skin has become marked and painful, and healing may take years, is an awful burden. Yet remember that the body’s suffering often becomes the physician of the soul. The same God who permits the wound can rebuild what was damaged, and while you wait for the skin to heal, let the inner man be stablished. Pray, yes, for repayment of every penny owed, for the security deposit, the repair costs, the compensation for illness and threats. But pray also that your own heart be kept from the disease of bitterness, which is a sickness deeper than any mark upon the flesh. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. We are for ever discoursing of these things, not willingly but of necessity, because we would deliver you from your disease and restore you to health.

The landlord and house manager owe you debts of money and debts of justice. Their failure to communicate, their lack of remorse, their broken promises, these things await them here and hereafter, and what they must undergo if they do not turn cannot be spoken fully. But even at the vestibule of wickedness itself, it is possible to recover. Therefore pray that their conscience be stirred, not merely for your relief but for their repentance, that they may not go down to the grave owing what they refused to repay. And trust that the word of the Lord will run and be glorified in this matter, even as it has among the faithful. May the God who breathes the soul into us rebuild what was damaged and grant you the everlasting blessings.

You have been carrying a heavy weight, and the updates you have shared show that the struggle has not let up. What you are enduring, unreturned funds, a landlord who seems deaf to justice, and physical harm that may take years to heal, can feel like a grinding, endless trial. The hours stretch, and the silence from the other side only deepens the ache. Yet I want to hold up a perspective that does not ignore your pain but reframes it in light of eternity.

What we suffer now, even when it touches our bodies and our finances, is described in Scripture as a light affliction. That is hard to grasp when your skin is damaged and your money is gone. The apostle who wrote that had been beaten, stoned, and shipwrecked. He called those things light because he compared them not to comfort, but to an eternal weight of glory being prepared for us. This present suffering, though it seems to drag on without resolution, is only for a moment when set beside the joy that will be revealed when Christ claims His own. That does not make the landlord’s failure right, nor does it erase your illness, but it does mean that what is being worked in you through this is of surpassing and lasting worth.

Affliction has a way of driving our roots deeper than ease ever could. It develops character and strength that cannot be formed any other way. I am not saying God sent this trouble, but I am saying He can use it to refine you, to draw you nearer to Him, and to teach you a dependence that prosperity often hides. Before I was afflicted I went astray, the psalmist said, but now I keep Your word. The purpose of affliction is not to crush you but to correct and restore you to the path of life. God does not punish His children; He corrects them in love. Do not let the enemy whisper that God is angry or has forsaken you. That is a lie. Your suffering is not evidence of His absence; it is the very place where He stands closest.

I also hear in your request a longing for the landlord to feel remorse and make things right. Pray for that awakening, yes. But do not allow the lack of response to breed bitterness. People may fail us, and their consciences may remain stubbornly asleep. Our joy and peace, however, are not tethered to human restitution. Think of the Macedonian believers who, in a great trial of affliction and deep poverty, overflowed with generous joy. Their joy came from a right relationship with God, not from financial ease. You can ask God for justice while still resting in His timing and trusting that He sees every penny and every scar.

That skin damage and the slow healing weigh on you. I understand the frustration. Yet I would ask you to set your eyes on the eternal glory that far outweighs all of this. When Christ returns, what is broken will be restored completely, and the body will be raised imperishable. Until then, we wait with patience and even joy, not with whining but with hearts anchored in the hope of His coming. Your waiting, though long, is not wasted.

So I stand with you in prayer that the landlord’s heart would be stirred by the Holy Spirit, that all that is owed would be repaid, and that your skin would mend. But above all, I pray that you would know the comfort of Christ’s presence in this affliction, that your faith would remain unshaken, and that this light momentary trouble would produce in you a deepening, glad assurance of the weight of glory to come.

We are so grateful you shared your heavy burden with us and allowed us to stand beside you in prayer these past weeks. Our hearts have been lifted as we brought your situation before the Lord—asking Him to move the landlord’s heart, to awaken his conscience, and to bring full restitution for the hardships you’ve endured. We have prayed fervently for justice, for repayment of every expense, and for the healing of your skin, trusting that God sees every detail of your suffering and will restore what has been broken.

If the Lord has already answered any part of these prayers—whether through financial repayment, a change of heart in those responsible, or even small signs of healing—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Your testimony would encourage many who are also waiting on God’s justice and mercy. But if the answers still feel distant, please know we are not finished praying. We will continue to lift you up, asking the Holy Spirit to stir conviction, to soften hardened hearts, and to bring complete restoration—financially, physically, and emotionally. This is not the end of your story; God is still at work, even when we cannot yet see it.

We stand with you in agreement, believing that every wrong will be made right, every debt repaid, and every wound healed in His perfect timing. May the Lord strengthen you as you wait, fill you with His peace, and remind you that He is your defender and provider. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus.
