Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (electric shocks) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, skin problems, medical treatments, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for a month, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation of injustice and harm. Father God, You are the righteous Judge who sees all and knows the depths of this suffering. We ask that You move mightily in this landlord’s heart, stirring his conscience by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Let conviction fall upon him, Lord, so that he may recognize the wrong he has allowed and make restitution for the harm caused. We declare that no one can hide from Your justice, and we trust that You will bring about repayment for the electric shocks, the illness, the medical treatments, and all the hardship endured.

The Word tells us in Proverbs 28:13, "He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy." We pray this landlord would not harden his heart but would instead repent and do what is right. We also stand on Romans 12:19, which says, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’" Lord, we release this burden into Your hands, trusting that You will act on behalf of the oppressed.

We rebuke the spirit of greed and neglect that has allowed this injustice to persist. We declare that the landlord’s heart will soften, that his eyes will be opened to the suffering he has caused, and that he will be moved to compensate fairly for the pain, medical costs, and inconvenience endured. We also pray for healing over the skin conditions and any lingering effects of the electric shocks, asking for Your restorative touch.

Father, we know that You are a God of justice and mercy. We ask that You would intervene in this situation, not only for financial restitution but also for the landlord’s salvation if he does not yet know You. May this trial lead him to seek Your face and turn from his ways. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We hear the weariness in your update, waiting for a month while facing silence and indifference on top of the health and financial strain must feel deeply isolating. We are sorry you’re carrying this, and we are still praying with you.

One thing that sometimes helps when the other person won’t engage is to take a small, practical step that shifts the focus from what you cannot control to what you can. If you haven’t already, we’d encourage you to document every detail: dates, photos of the hazards, medical records, receipts, anything that shows what has happened. Then consider reaching out to a local church deacon, a Christian legal aid clinic, or a tenant advocacy organization that can help you navigate your rights without adding spiritual pressure. You don’t have to do this alone, and seeking wise counsel is not a lack of faith.

We also want to gently remind you that your body and spirit matter deeply. Long-term stress and illness can wear down even the strongest person, so please keep leaning on your medical providers and the people who care for you. God sees the injustice, and He is near in the ache of being dismissed.

Let’s pause and bring this before Him:

Lord Jesus, You are the defender of the vulnerable and the one who hears every cry. We lift up our friend who has suffered real harm and now faces a stubborn wall of silence. Please heal their body and soothe the frustration in their heart. Provide for every practical need, medical costs, alternative arrangements, and wise guidance. Stir the landlord’s conscience, and where there is a refusal to do right, open a clear path toward justice. Hold our friend steady in hope and protect their spirit from bitterness. We trust You to work in ways we cannot yet see. Amen.

How prone we are to cry out for justice upon another, while forgetting that we ourselves are tenants at the sufferance of a great Landlord, to whom we owe a debt we can never pay! The Lord who owns the cattle on a thousand hills has let to each of us a frail tabernacle of flesh, and He has the right to enter and inspect His own property at any hour. Vexations with earthly dwellings, even such sharp trials as electric shocks and burdensome afflictions of the skin, are but the rattling of the Landlord’s key in the lock, bidding us remember that this lease expires in a breath. Instead of fixing your eye so steadily upon the landlord who has wronged you, I would have you look higher, to the heavenly Landlord who has borne with you in your own trespasses, and whose goodness is designed to lead you to repentance. The mercies you still possess, the breath in your lungs, the mind to pray, the gathering of the saints, these are tokens of a divine forbearance that should make you weep, not merely over your landlord’s hardness, but over your own heart’s slowness to yield to the Spirit’s gentle drawings.

I do not say your cause is not just; it may well be that this man owes you recompense. But what if the Lord is using this very trial to search out your own soul? True repentance is a far rarer jewel than a victory in a legal dispute. There is a repentance of the flesh, wrung out by judgments, that makes a man sorry for consequences but never gives glory to God. Pharaoh said, “I have sinned,” when the thunder rolled and the hail fell, but his heart hardened when the sky cleared. A landlord’s conscience pricked by no more than worldly discomfort will never produce the peaceable fruits of righteousness. The repentance we are bid to preach in Christ’s name is not a mercenary bargain, a squaring of accounts with heaven so that our earthly ledger might balance. It is a gift of the risen Lord, a tearing down of self so that Christ alone may dwell in the heart. Pray therefore, not merely that your landlord would stir up a fleeting remorse and write a cheque, but that the Holy Spirit would slay him with the sword of the law and bind up his wounds with the balm of the gospel. Pray that he would see himself as a tenant before God, whose every unrighteous act is recorded in the courts above, and that he would flee to the only Shelter from the storm of justice, the finished work of Jesus Christ.

And what of your own repentance? While you wait upon the Lord for outward recompense, let this trial drive you to the cross. The repentance that saves is a sweet companion that lives as long as faith. It does not vanish once a distress is eased; it abides and makes the soul tender ever afterward. Search your own spirit: have you ever known that godly sorrow which gives God the glory even when He bruises you? Can you say, “Against Thee, Thee only, have I sinned,” and own that if He gave you no redress, He would still be just and good? The most grateful penitence flows from a sight of the love of Christ, the Son of God dying for a wretch who deserved to be cast out. When that love constrains you, you will find it possible to forgive the offending landlord, not because he deserves it, but because you have been forgiven so much more than any man could ever owe you.

Continue in prayer, but let your chief petition be that both you and he might be led by the goodness of God to genuine repentance and remission of sins. The Lord’s delays are not His denials; they are the long-suffering that would have us bring forth works meet for repentance. A month of silence from an earthly landlord is but a moment compared to the eternity of grace that waits upon the penitent. Look out of yourself to Christ only. The Man who had not where to lay His head will surely uphold your cause in wisdom, whether now or in the day when the secrets of all hearts are revealed. Rest in Him, and let the sweet Sister Repentance keep company with your faith until you enter those gates of pearl where there shall be no more electric shocks, no more diseases of the skin, and no more injustice, only the unclouded presence of the Landlord who has made us tenants of an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have prayed for a month, and still the man's heart seems hard, his conscience untouched. You see no remorse, no compensation, no justice. And this suffering is real: your body has been afflicted, your skin troubled, your peace stolen. I do not make light of such things.

But listen carefully to a truth that can transform this very trial into a treasure. The one who has been wronged is not you, but the landlord who does these things. For what injury can another truly do to you, if you bear it with patience and thanksgiving before God? The man who shocks his tenant with neglect, who threatens and refuses to make right, he wounds his own soul most terribly.

He is gathering fire for himself, while you have an opportunity to gather a heavenly reward. So I say to you: stop praying against him for compensation as if you are the victim. Instead, pray for him with all your heart. Bless him.

Ask God not merely to stir his conscience so that he pays you, but that he truly repents and is saved from the far greater danger he runs. If you do this, you become like the Master who washed the feet of His betrayer and prayed for His crucifiers. Nothing delights God more than returning good for evil. And why has God permitted this at all?

So that your sins might be wiped away, or a brighter crown fashioned for you. The delay is not God's deafness, but His training. Do not fix your eyes on a few coins or a shower pass; fix them on the glory that such patience will purchase. If you can give thanks for this wrong, you gain ten thousand rewards.

The man may never pay you a single coin, but God will not be your debtor. Leave the matter in His hands, and let your only prayer now be for your landlord's soul. That is the true victory.

It is deeply frustrating when someone who has wronged you remains silent, showing no sign of owning their negligence or making things right. Your update makes it clear: a month has passed, and the landlord’s heart seems untouched. It is right to bring this before the Lord, who alone can stir a sleeping conscience.

We often confuse a vague regret with genuine repentance. The Scriptures draw a sharp line. There is a sorrow that is merely worldly, a pang of getting caught, a flash of embarrassment, that leads only to death. It dries up without changing anything. Then there is a godly sorrow, the kind the Holy Spirit produces, which awakens a person to their failure toward God and neighbor. That sorrow works a true transformation. It produces fruit: a change in direction, a willingness to make amends, a readiness to bear the cost of setting things right.

What you need from your landlord is not just a hollow apology or a forced check. You need to see the evidence that God has shone light into that person’s heart, that they sense they have fallen short of His just standard, and that this recognition moves them to act. John the baptizer thundered at those who came with outward religion but no inner transformation: “Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.” The genuine article shows itself. It doesn’t hide in silence or stall. It moves toward restitution.

Pray, then, that the Lord would pierce through every excuse and self-justification. Pray that He would visit that landlord with a godly sorrow, a weight of conviction that brings not despair but a repentant change. The suffering you’ve endured, the electric shocks, the skin problems, the medical costs, the threats, is not hidden from God. He sees. And the same Spirit who convicts can also soften the hardest heart.

While you wait, hold fast to this comfort: God’s own character does not shift. His callings and His promises are not revoked by human failure. He is faithful when people are faithless. Your cry for justice matters to Him. Keep bringing it before His throne in Jesus’ mighty name, trusting that He can awaken a conscience and bring forth the fruit of true repentance in His time.
