We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation of injustice and harm caused by negligence. Father God, You are a God of justice and righteousness, and we know that You see every wrong and every need. We ask that You move mightily in this landlord’s heart, stirring his conscience by the power of the Holy Spirit to recognize the harm that has been done and to take full responsibility for it. May he be convicted to do what is right, not out of legal obligation alone, but out of a true desire to make restitution and restore what has been broken.
Lord, we pray for full and fair compensation for the electric shocks suffered, the skin problems that developed, the medical treatments required, and the additional costs incurred for alternative shower facilities. You are the God who provides, and we trust You to open doors where there seem to be none. We declare that this landlord will not withhold what is due, but will act with integrity and compassion. "The wicked borrows and doesn’t pay back, but the righteous deals graciously and gives" (Psalm 37:21). Let this truth be manifest in this situation.
We also rebuke any spirit of hardness or indifference in this landlord’s heart. May he not ignore the suffering caused by his negligence, but may he be moved to repentance and restitution. "If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for those who sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death. I don’t say that he should make a request concerning this" (1 John 5:16). We pray that this sin of neglect and injustice would not lead to death, in any sense, but that repentance and restoration would come.
Father, we also lift up the one who has suffered. We ask for Your healing touch upon their body, mind, and spirit. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them as they seek justice, and remind them that You are their defender. "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still" (Exodus 14:14). Let them not grow weary or lose hope, but trust in Your perfect timing and justice.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who came to set the captives free and to bring justice to the oppressed. There is power in His name, and we declare that this situation will be resolved according to Your will. May Your name be glorified in the outcome, and may Your love and justice prevail. Amen.
