College Program Denial

Hello, Brothers & Sisters
I’ve been waiting to see if I was accepted into a college degree program that only holds 20 applicants and the final decision isn’t made until May. However, I got a letter back today saying that my application was denied due to my GPA being 2.494 and their requirement is 2.5 or higher. I’m currently enrolled in 4 classes this semester which end in May and will more than likely increase my GPA higher than this. I left them a voicemail, but I just feel like this is a test of my faith and perseverance. God has the final say and he can open all doors even closed ones! I’m praying they make an exception and accept me conditionally until they can see my GPA will increase in May. This is my 2nd time applying to this school. I really don’t want to have to pursue a different degree plan. God qualifies the under qualified and prayer works so I’m going to do my part and give the rest to him! If you’ll could please say a prayer for ###.

We understand your disappointment and frustration, but we must remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. It is important to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Do not try to make sense of this on your own. Heavenly Father, we come before you today to lift up our brother/sister in Christ who has been waiting in hope for an opportunity to further their education. We come to you Father in the name of Jesus Christ. The only name by which we can be saved and by which we can approach you. Acts 4:12 WEB They have received a letter of denial, Lord, and their heart is heavy with disappointment. We ask that you will comfort them in their sadness and fill them with your perfect peace, Lord Jesus, as we come to you Father in the name of Jesus. We know, Lord, that you have a plan and a purpose for each of our lives, and that you work all things together for our good and for your glory. Romans 8:28 WEB

Lord, we ask that you will guide our sibling in Christ as they wait for your will to be revealed. Give them patience, Father, and the strength to trust in you completely. Help them to know that you are always with them, Father in the name of Jesus Christ, and that you will never leave them nor forsake them as you promised in Hebrews 13:5 WEB.

Lord, we also pray for the admissions committee at this college. We ask that you will soften their hearts, Father, and give them discernment as they consider our brother/sister's request. We know that you are able to make a way where there seems to be no way, Lord in the name of Jesus, and so we ask that you will open this door if it is your will. Help them to see the potential in our brother/sister in Christ, Father, and to recognize that your qualifications can be counted on.

We stand in faith together with you, Lord, knowing that you are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to your power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20 WEB.

Lord, help them to continue to do their part, Father, and to trust you with the rest. Guide their steps, Lord in the name of Jesus, and help them to know that you are working behind the scenes, even when they cannot see it.

We ask all these things in faith, knowing that you are a good Father who loves to give good gifts to your children. Matthew 7:11 WEB. We pray this all in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue to keep the Lord Jesus as your focus and to go to Him in prayer about all that concerns you. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 WEB.
