Clarity and truth The judge

I posted a few moments ago about a judge in the streets hearing. I went to clarify that I started to say that the landlord is billing me X but that my legal rent is… that’s when the judge cut me off and said we’re not here for they there between you and the landlord (on grrbrexoeding) the landlord is demanding. But k has already refuted the total rent arrears amount in writing and it was suppressed but the agency left that letter in its own evidence packet provided to me. The judge did not want me to say ther becaus they said it’s between my self and the landlord. The wrong Rent number ther inwouotrd is what the landlord is actually billing me and k have receipts. When the judge asked me what Ivan responsible for I deleted like I had no other choice but thrbdahbthebnberbthrtbi am actively being billed. All 80 opwges of my earlier submission refute the landlords numbers. So I sis attempt to state what the level rent is before being cut off by the judge. Father I hope that you saw my intention and to protect me jn Jesus name.

We are standing with you in prayer for clarity and truth to prevail in this streets hearing and before the judge, and we thank God that He saw your intention even when you were cut off while trying to speak.

We understand your distress, you attempted to state what your legal rent truly is and to explain that the landlord is billing you a higher amount, but the judge interrupted and said that matter is between you and the landlord. We understand that the landlord's claimed arrears total has already been refuted in writing, that the letter was suppressed yet providentially left in the agency's own evidence packet that was provided to you, and that you have receipts showing what you are actually being billed. We also hear that when asked what you are responsible for, you felt you had no choice but to state the amount you are actively being billed, and that your earlier 80 page submission already refutes the landlord's numbers. We want to reassure you that the Lord knows the truth of what you intended to say and what the documents show.

The Lord loves justice and truth and He is not confused by what was interrupted or suppressed. He sees what is done in secret and He brings what is hidden into the light. Psalm 37:5-6 says Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, and your justice as the noon day. Proverbs 12:22 says Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. And Leviticus 19:15 says You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor show favoritism to the great, but you shall judge your neighbor in righteousness.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in Jesus' name we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this hearing and this judge to You. Lord, You are the righteous Judge who judges the peoples with equity, and we ask that You would give this earthly judge wisdom, discernment, and a desire for true justice. We ask that You would open eyes to see the full evidence, including the letter that was left in the packet and the receipts that show the true billing, and the 80 pages that refute the inflated numbers. Lord, where truth was cut off, we ask that You would make a way for it to be heard clearly and calmly. We pray that You would protect our dear one from any unjust overcharging and from bearing a burden that is not lawfully theirs. Let no false claim stand against them. We ask for Your peace to guard their heart, for clarity of mind to speak the truth with grace and respect even under pressure, and for favor in this process. We thank You that You saw the heart that wanted to speak honestly about the legal rent and we trust You to be their advocate when they felt silenced. Lead them in the right next steps and provide wise counsel and help as needed. We trust Your justice and Your mercy to meet together. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk in truth and peace. Keep all of your receipts, the written refutation, and that providentially included letter organized and clearly marked, and respectfully seek every proper opportunity the court provides to submit or clarify the correct legal rent versus the amount billed. The Lord honors a calm and truthful spirit even when interrupted, as Proverbs 15:1 says A gentle answer turns away wrath. Continue to commit this matter to Him, for He is your defender. Deuteronomy 16:20 says You shall follow that which is altogether just, that you may live. We are trusting with you that what was meant to be suppressed will be seen for what it is, and that the truth will be made clear in a way the court cannot ignore, for nothing is hidden that will not be revealed.

We were sorry to read how disorienting that hearing felt. To be cut off right as you tried to explain the difference between the amount the landlord is billing and what your legal rent actually is, especially after you brought eighty pages of receipts and even the landlord's own letter refuting the arrears that was left in the evidence packet, would leave anyone feeling unheard and worried. We hear how much you wanted to speak clearly and honestly in that room.

We are praying God sees your intention for truth and guards your peace while this is still unresolved. It makes sense that moment is staying with you.

When a hearing moves quickly like that, it can help to make the paper record speak as clearly as possible. If it would be useful, you could create a simple one page summary that states your legal rent, the amount billed, and exactly where in the packet the receipts and that letter can be found by page number. Keep the originals safe and bring copies, and if you are able, ask a local legal aid clinic or tenant help center how to properly submit a written clarification before the next date so the court has it in the file.

Father, we bring our friend before You. You know the right rent amount, the confusion in that courtroom, and the desire to be truthful. Grant clarity, protection, and wise help in the steps ahead, and quiet the heart with Your presence. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your distress in that hearing has been heard, and I thank you for laying it so honestly before the Lord. There is great comfort in knowing that while earthly courts must hear imperfectly and may cut short a word before it is fully spoken, there is a higher court where no sincere plea is silenced. The hearing ear and the seeing eye, the Lord has made even both of them, and He who made them hears perfectly. He desires truth in the inward parts and He sees the intention of the heart when lips are stopped before the whole matter could be told.

You did well to desire to speak the truth plainly, to distinguish between what is actually billed and what is lawful and just, and to bring forth receipts and testimony to refute what is not true. The Lord loves truth and honesty, and His Word calls us to let our yes be yes and to walk with integrity even when we are not fully heard. Take heed how you hear and how you speak, for precious truth is at stake, and the God of all the earth will do right. Though a judge on earth may say, we are not here for that, the Judge of all the earth knows the whole record, every page of your labour and every receipt you have kept, and nothing is suppressed before Him.

Be encouraged to continue in quiet trust and faithful diligence. Present what is true through the proper and lawful means given to you, without exaggeration and without deceit, leaving the outcome in the hands of God who hears prayer and answers out of heaven. He can give clarity where there has been confusion, and He can guard you from injustice and from any misstep of your own tongue. Remember that our greatest debt was not one of rent but of sin, and that Christ Himself was sued and summoned at the court of Eternal Justice and discharged the whole tremendous debt for His people. If you have fled to Him by faith, you stand accepted before that court through His blood alone, and you may come boldly to your Father for mercy and help in time of need.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, You see what was intended when words were cut short, and You know the true account. Grant clarity and truth to shine in this matter. Give wisdom and calmness to Your child, honesty on every lip, and a just and attentive hearing where truth may be weighed. Protect from wrong and from fear of man, and teach a deeper trust in Your sovereign will. Above all, keep this heart resting in the Lord Jesus Christ, in whose name alone we are heard and saved. Your request for clarity and truth after that difficult hearing has been heard, and I am praying with you about it.

It is distressing to be cut off when you are trying to speak honestly, especially when the matter concerns what you are actually being billed, what your legal rent truly is, and what your receipts and the landlord's own documents show. You wanted to state the truth plainly and were not given space to do so, and that can feel both confusing and unjust. Be assured that God sees the heart and the intention behind your words, even when a human court does not pause to hear them fully. He is the One who loves righteousness and justice, and while earthly courts are imperfect and often hurried, He is never unaware of what is suppressed, overlooked, or left unread.

Scripture reminds us that earthly judgment seats exist because God Himself cares about justice, and He will not overlook what is true. Even when Jesus stood before judges who would not listen rightly and where proceedings were marked by confusion and haste, the truth remained the truth and was fully known to the Father. In the same way, your desire to act honestly before God and before the court matters, and God knows what you attempted to say and what the documents themselves contain.

I pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and find salvation. I ask that the Lord would give you peace that guards your heart, that He would protect you and provide for your needs, and that He would bring clarity and truth to light in this dispute. I pray that what is accurate in the records and receipts would be clearly seen and fairly weighed, that the judge and all involved would act with wisdom and impartiality, and that you would be given another opportunity to present what is relevant in an orderly and respectful way.

Continue to walk in integrity, speaking truth with calmness and respect for the court, even when you feel unheard. Keep your records in good order, keep copies of all that has been submitted including that letter found in the agency's own packet, and seek wise and trustworthy legal counsel or assistance to help you present the correct rent history clearly and according to the proper procedures. Commit your way to the Lord, ask Him for wisdom for each next step, and trust Him to be your defender and helper while you do what is right before Him and before others.
