Thank You in advance for hedging her way with thorns so she can't overtake her lovers, Hosea 2:6-7, let her come to her senses as the prodigal who in Luke 15:17-19 admitting sinning against GOD and man, being humble and willing to take on a place of a servant, demonstrating repentance unto life, 2 Cor 7:9-11, knowing I'd be like the Prodigal's Father, and have compassion, Luke 15:20, to demonstrate Your perfect patience, 1 Tim 1:15-16, if she is truly repentant and is truly born again, being forbidden to be unequally yoked, 2 Cor 6:14, as the law says, Deut 22:10, and even need a similar vision, Amos 3:3, as she had promised to support your calling as an evangelist, missionary, but ran from all advice, did the opposite and ran from all counsellors with any type of backbone, nevertheless if You make her holy, I will not call her unclean, Acts 10:15, is important and inspired, as all of Scripture, 2 Tim 3:16, being Peter's testimony to first call Gentiles, Acts 15:7...

Nevertheless, such patience we regard as kindness intended to lead us to repentance from sin, Rom 2:4, since You are not willing that any should perish, but rather all would come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9, since there will be wrath and tribulation for every soul that does evil, Rom 2:9. I ask YOU warn her, her family, church, church friends, relatives, even strangers and donkeys if need be, 2 Peter 2:16, and kindly get her pastors and other pastors and friends involved -- and we ask one pastor is family would fear God over his family and honor You above them, Matt 10:28, even put fear of God and the trembling at Your words into them, Isaiah 66:2-3, for the fear of man is a snare, Prov 29:25, as You prophesied to Eli in 1 Samuel 2:29-30, 1 Sam 3:13-14, and fulfilled it in 1 Sam 4:17-18...

We've been asking YOU raise up messengers with the sword of the Spirit and still we ask, Lk 18:1, and thank You for five indicating they are willing to bring The Word of God to this situation, Heb 4:12, but as of yet have not to our knowledge, however we know You are working, thank You for what You're doing, and certain it's to bring about a hope and a future, Jer 29:11... Through history You have gone out of Your way to warn people to turn, as all the prophets testify, we ask He does now, in this day, for this cause: "perchance she will repent, and escape the snare of the devil, being held captive to do his will," 2 Tim 2:25-26, and "so others be fearful of sinning," 1 Tim 5:20. Let them finish the work which they said they'd do with love, reverence for You and Covenant, and zeal, 2 Cor 8:11, not with negligence, Jer 48:10, in Jesus' Name. May it be done gently but firmly, because of the danger of sin and so she won't stop attending church, but rather "flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart," 2 Tim 2:22. Also let it be done with gentleness, keeping an eye on ourselves, lest we be tempted, Gal 6:1. Thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, in Jesus' Name.

I ask again for her to be "hedged in with thorns," Ho 2:6-7, that she is not able to meet anyone at all (No more online or in person dating, Matt 5:28, and grace for her to finally confess adultery, Ex 20:14, [as yet it has only been hinted at without confession], and may God grant ever-increasing clarity, more certain wisdom, James 1:5, that we may be filled with the knowledge of His will with all spiritual wisdom and understanding so we may walk worthy of The Lord, Col 1:9-10, so we may stand perfectly assured in all the will of God, Col 4:12. May our Love abound more and more with all knowledge and discernment so we may choose the most excellent paths, not stumble, be offended or cause offense to others, be blameless without reproach unto the Day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness, to the glory and praise of God, Phil 1:9-11, and who knows what's next? 2 Sam 12:22), especially that she, I, the youngster and we all are delivered from temptation, Lk 11:4, sin, 1 Cor 15:34, lies, Zeph 3:13, evil, evil men, imposters, 2 Tim 2:5, 2 Tim 2:13 & the evil one himself, Matt 6:13, John 17:15...

We join with you in prayer for this woman and for all who are involved, and we thank God for your heart to see her restored through genuine repentance and for your desire to see the church and family walk in obedience to the Word.

We see your burden for biblical intervention and we agree that when a believer is caught in sin, the Lord has given a clear pattern for restoration. If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone, but if he will not listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established, and if he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly Matt 18:16-17. We pray that her family and her church will not shrink back from this loving duty, for shepherds are called to shepherd the flock of God which is among you 1 Pet 5:2, not by constraint but willingly according to God. We ask the Lord to raise up those five who have indicated willingness, and others, to speak the truth in love with the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God, for the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword Heb 4:12.

We also join you in asking for the deep work of the Holy Spirit, for Jesus said when he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment John 16:8. Without that conviction there can be no true repentance. We pray that God would hedge up her way with thorns as you have asked, Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, and I will build a wall against her, that she cannot find her paths Hos 2:6, so that she cannot overtake her lovers and cannot pursue idolatry and impurity, and that every avenue of online and in person dating and adulterous pursuit would be blocked. For you rightly note that adultery is forbidden, You shall not commit adultery Ex 20:14, and that even lustful intent is sin before God, everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart Matt 5:28. If adultery has been committed and only hinted at, we pray for grace for full and honest confession, for he who conceals his sins will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy Prov 28:13, and that she would come to her senses as the prodigal did, saying I will get up and go to my father, and will tell him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight Luke 15:18, with godly sorrow that works repentance to salvation which brings no regret 2 Cor 7:10.

We affirm with you the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman before God, and that any pursuit of another while bound in that covenant is not dating but adultery, and any sexual intimacy outside of that covenant is fornication. We also affirm that a believer must not be unequally yoked with an unbeliever 2 Cor 6:14, and that two cannot walk together unless they have agreed Amos 3:3. Courtship must be with a fellow believer with the goal of a God honoring marriage, not mere partnership or companionship. If she is to be considered as a spouse again, it must only be upon clear evidence that she is truly born again and is walking in holiness, bearing fruit worthy of repentance, for God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Pet 3:9, and His kindness is intended to lead us to repentance Rom 2:4. We thank God with you that He is able to make clean whom He has cleansed, as He told Peter, What God has cleansed, you must not call unclean Acts 10:15, yet that cleansing must be evidenced by a transformed life.

We pray for inner healing for her, for from the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness in it, wounds, welts, and open sores Isa 1:6, and only the Shepherd can restore the soul, Yahweh is my shepherd, I shall not want, he makes me lie down in green pastures, he restores my soul Ps 23:1-3. We ask that she would turn from evil men and imposters who have a form of godliness but denying its power, from such turn away 2 Tim 3:5, who profess that they know God, but by their deeds they deny him Tit 1:16, and that she would cease from sin and grow in the knowledge of God, for knowledge puffs up, but love builds up 1 Cor 8:1, and the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom Prov 9:10.

We pray also for you, that God would grant ever increasing clarity and wisdom, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to walk worthily of the Lord Col 1:9-10, and that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent Phil 1:9-10. We are confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ Phil 1:6. We ask that you would not be ensnared by the fear of man, for the fear of man proves to be a snare Prov 29:25, but that all involved would fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna Matt 10:28, and tremble at His word, for to this man will I look, even to he who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my word Isa 66:2.

We pray that any confrontation would be done gently but firmly, with a spirit of gentleness, looking to yourself lest you also be tempted Gal 6:1, and that she would not be driven from the fellowship but would flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart 2 Tim 2:22. We ask that those who go would do so with love and zeal and not with negligence, for cursed is he who does the work of Yahweh negligently Jer 48:10, and that they would complete what they have purposed to do 2 Cor 8:11, so that perchance God may give repentance to escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive to do his will 2 Tim 2:25-26, and that others also may fear 1 Tim 5:20.

We lift up you, her, the youngster, and all affected, that you would be delivered from temptation and from the evil one, Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one Matt 6:13, for we do not pray that you should take them from the world, but that you should keep them from the evil one John 17:15.

Father, we thank You in advance for what You will do, for all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them Mark 11:24, and we trust Your perfect patience revealed in Christ Jesus 1 Tim 1:16 to lead to life. We ask that Your will be done, whether that be restoration upon true repentance or a clear closing of the door for Your glory and protection, and we ask for grace to accept Your answer with faith, remembering David who said Who knows whether Yahweh will not be gracious to me 2 Sam 12:22. Let Your name be hallowed and Your kingdom come in this situation, in Jesus name we pray.

We have read your prayer and we feel the weight you have been carrying for this woman and for your family. You have prayed so faithfully and specifically, and we want to stand with you in that continued intercession.

It is understandable to long for others to step in and to want clear barriers that keep her from further harm. One thing that has helped others in a similar place is to let a small circle of trusted shepherds carry the intervention, rather than carrying it alone. If you have five who are willing, it can help to ask one mature pastor to coordinate, share your concerns once in writing with clarity and gentleness, and then give him space to approach her with care. That protects both her dignity and your own heart, and it keeps the focus on restoration rather than pressure.

In the meantime we encourage you to keep tending to your own walk and to the youngster entrusted to you, staying rooted in community, rest and wise counsel for yourself as well.

Father, we lift this woman to You and ask for Your mercy and conviction to work in her heart, for clarity and protection from harmful paths, and for healing where there is woundedness. We ask for wisdom and courage for the pastors and family involved to speak truth with gentleness, and for peace and strength for our brother and the child as they wait on You. Guide each step according to Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been heard and it is right that you should bring this burden so steadily before the throne of grace, pleading that the Lord would not leave this soul to herself but would deal with her in mercy and in truth.

We will join you in asking the Lord to do what only He can do. That He would send His Holy Spirit to convict of sin and of righteousness and of judgment according to John 16:8, and that He would hedge up her way with thorns as in Hosea 2:6 so that she cannot overtake those lovers which draw her away from holiness, and cannot pursue the idolatry which promises pleasure but brings death. We will pray that the hedge may be gracious, that it may stop the feet that would run into sin and turn them back toward home.

Yet we must pray with understanding of what true repentance is. There is a carnal repentance which is produced by judgments and fears, a repentance that is of the flesh and after the manner of sinful nature, and it does not give God glory. True repentance, that repentance unto life of which the Scripture speaks in Acts 11:18, is the work of the Spirit of God in the renewed heart. It gives God glory, it makes a rainbow with tears of grief for sin and glances of hope at the love of Christ and His finished work. It is not a mere hinting at sin, but a humble confession that I have sinned against heaven and before God, as the prodigal said in Luke 15. It yields works meet for repentance and it lasts. It is practical, it turns the life, it makes restitution where wrong has been done, or it is only skin deep. We will therefore not ask God to bless any path that is outside His holy will, for marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all that belongs to it must be kept within that covenant. To ask a blessing upon adultery or upon dating that entertains lust in the heart, which our Lord calls adultery already in Matthew 5:28, would be to ask God to deny Himself. Instead we ask Him to grant that godly sorrow which need not be repented of, that sorrow according to 2 Corinthians 7 which works repentance unto life.

You have well remembered the prodigal. Be encouraged that the eyes of mercy are quicker than the eyes of repentance. The father saw the son when he was yet a great way off, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him with much love. Those kisses meant much love, much forgiveness, and full restoration, and they showed exceeding joy. If the Lord should grant true repentance and a new birth, He will receive with full forgiveness through Christ alone, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and repentance and remission are preached in His name as the gift of God. But that reception is not upon the ground of a promise to support a calling, nor upon sentiment, but upon the evidence of a new heart that is willing to be made holy and to be unequally yoked no more, as in 2 Corinthians 6:14, and to walk in agreement with the Lord as in Amos 3:3.

We will pray also as you have asked for the household of God to act faithfully. That according to Matthew 18 the family and the church would intervene with love and with reverence for Christ and His covenant, that pastors and shepherds would feed and tend the flock as in 1 Peter 5:2 not from fear of man which is a snare as in Proverbs 29:25, but from the fear of God who is to be feared above all as in Matthew 10:28 and Isaiah 66:2. We will ask that they may speak gently and firmly, with the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God as in Hebrews 4:12, and with an eye upon themselves lest they also be tempted as in Galatians 6:1, so that she may not be driven away but may flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart as in 2 Timothy 2:22. We will pray that she may have grace to turn away from evil men and imposters who have a form of godliness but deny its power as in 2 Timothy 3:5 and Titus 1:16, and that she may be delivered from temptation and from the evil one as in Matthew 6:13 and John 17:15.

We will pray for clarity and wisdom, that you and she and all concerned may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding to walk worthy of the Lord as in Colossians 1:9 and to stand fully assured in all the will of God as in Colossians 4:12, that love may abound with knowledge and discernment as in Philippians 1:9, and that the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom as in Proverbs 9:10 may be given. We will pray for inner healing, for the Lord is our Shepherd as in Psalm 23, and He binds up the wounds described in Isaiah 1:6, not with superficial healing but with the deep cure of the gospel which purges dead works and fills the soul with living works through faith in Christ. For faith and repentance are inseparable, the one ejects sin as an evil tenant and the other admits Christ to be sole master of the heart.

Continue steadfastly as you have done, as in Luke 18:1, not with negligence as in Jeremiah 48:10 but with zeal to finish what love has begun as in 2 Corinthians 8:11, trusting Philippians 1:6 that He who has begun a good work will perform it, yet remembering that true hope is not presumption but is anchored in repentance and faith. May the Lord grant that she and others may repent and escape the snare of the devil being held captive to do his will as in 2 Timothy 2:25, and that others also may fear to sin as in 1 Timothy 5:20. We thank Him in advance as in Mark 11:24 not for the continuance of sin but for the triumph of grace that leads to holiness, for His kindness is meant to lead us to repentance as in Romans 2:4, because He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance as in 2 Peter 3:9.

We lay these petitions before our merciful Father, that He would warn, convict, hedge, heal, and restore according to His perfect patience and truth, and that whatsoever is next may be according to His will and for His glory, in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been received and we have heard the weight and sorrow and hope carried in it. We thank God for the grace He has given you to keep praying without ceasing, and for the love that desires not the approval of sin but the repentance and healing of a soul. We join you in asking the Lord to work according to His mercy and truth.

We affirm with you what Scripture teaches about marriage and purity. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and sexual union belongs only within it. As the Lord said, everyone who looks upon another to lust has already committed adultery in the heart, and this sin is not only when a person defiles one who is married, but also when one who is bound by marriage defiles himself with another, even if that other is free. The law binds both, and God sees and judges this sin, though many in the world treat it lightly. For this reason we cannot ask God to bless or affirm any adulterous or dating relationship outside the covenant, but we do ask Him to convict, to restrain, and to make the way of sin bitter so that the soul may turn.

We also affirm with you that repentance is possible and powerful. The Church is a spiritual bath that wipes away not filth of the body but stains of the soul through many methods of repentance. There is no second baptism, but there is repentance, and it has great force to set free even one who has fallen into deep sin, if he will lay hold of it and Christ be formed in him again. Yet we must remember that not every tear is true repentance. Esau sought the blessing with tears and found no place of repentance, because his grief was not godly sorrow but regret for the loss. Cain also mourned yet proved by his later murder that he had not repented. Godly sorrow works repentance unto salvation without regret, when a person condemns himself, mourns for sin against God and man, humbles himself as the prodigal did when he came to his senses and said I have sinned against heaven and before you, and is willing to take the lowest place. That is the repentance we pray for, not a shadow or semblance, but a turning that brings forth fruit and a hatred of the sin itself.

Therefore we join you in praying as you have prayed. We ask the Holy Spirit to convict of sin and righteousness and judgment, to hedge up the way with thorns as in Hosea, so that she cannot overtake her lovers and may instead say I will return. We pray for clarity and wisdom, that you and she and all involved may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to walk worthy of the Lord, to choose what is excellent and be blameless. We pray for inner healing, for the wounds described as bruises and sores unbound, that the Shepherd of Psalm 23 would restore the soul and lead in paths of righteousness. We pray for deliverance from temptation, from lies, from evil men and imposters who have a form of godliness but deny its power, and from the evil one himself. We pray that she would flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart, and that she would confess what must be confessed, for unconfessed sin remains a barrier.

We also pray for the family and the Body of Christ to act in love according to Matthew 18. If she will not hear one, take one or two more, and if needed tell it to the church, not to shame but to save. We pray that pastors and shepherds would fulfill their charge to shepherd willingly, not fearing man, for the fear of man is a snare, but trembling at His word and fearing Him who can judge. We ask God to raise up messengers who will use the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, gently but firmly, with an eye on themselves lest they also be tempted, so that sin may be confronted and others may fear to sin, yet the door to restoration remains open and she would not be swallowed up by excessive sorrow, as Satan can destroy both through sin and through unmeasured sorrow after sin. Let this be done not with negligence but with love, reverence for God and for covenant, and zeal.

For yourself, we encourage you to continue in prayer as the Lord taught us to always pray and not lose heart, trusting that He who began a good work will perfect it until the day of Christ, and that His kindness is meant to lead to repentance, for He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, though there will be wrath and tribulation for every soul that persists in evil. Abide in Christ, keep yourself from being unequally yoked, seek counsel that has backbone and fears God, let your love abound more and more in knowledge and discernment, and stand perfectly assured in all the will of God. Guard your own heart, walk in the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom, and know that knowledge puffs up but love builds up.

We pray now that God would grant what is according to His will, that He would warn, convict, restrain, heal, and if there is true repentance and new birth through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved, He would make holy what was unclean and lead both of you in His future and hope, not for your own desires alone but for His glory. May He deliver you, the young one, and all your household from temptation and evil, and fill you with the fruits of righteousness to the praise of God. We thank Him in advance as we ask, trusting His perfect patience and His perfect holiness together, in the name of Jesus.
