⛪️ Church, Family Intervene Mt 18:16-17, Convict Jn 16:8, Hedge w/Thorns Ho 2:6, Clarity, Avoids Evil Men 2 Tim 3:5, Inner Healing Isa 1:6 Ps 23:1-6, Stops Sinning, Knowledge of God, 1 Cor 8:1, Prov 9:10, Prov 8:13... 🙏 Father, thank You for grace to pray for her signaling to me You are not finished working on her, Phil 1:6. Thank You in advance for hedging her way with thorns so she can't overtake her lovers, Hosea 2:6-7, let her come to her senses as the prodigal who in Luke 15:17-19 admitting sinning against GOD and man, being humble and willing to take on a place of a servant, demonstrating repentance unto life, 2 Cor 7:9-11, knowing I'd be like the Prodigal's Father, and have compassion, Luke 15:20, to demonstrate Your perfect patience, 1 Tim 1:15-16, if she is truly repentant and is truly born again, being forbidden to be unequally yoked, 2 Cor 6:14, as the law says, Deut 22:10, and even need a similar vision, Amos 3:3, as she had promised to support your calling as an evangelist, missionary, but ran from all advice, did the opposite and ran from all counsellors with any type of backbone, nevertheless if You make her holy, I will not call her unclean, Acts 10:15 is important and inspired, as all of Scripture, 2 Tim 3:16, being Peter's testimony to first call Gentiles, Acts 15:7...

Nevertheless, such patience we regard as kindness intended to lead us to repentance from sin, Rom 2:4, since You are not willing that any should perish, but rather all would come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9, since there will be wrath and tribulation for every soul that does evil, Rom 2:9. I ask YOU warn her, her family, church, church friends, relatives, even strangers and donkeys if need be, 2 Peter 2:16, and kindly get her pastors and other pastors and friends involved -- and we ask one pastor is family would fear God over his family and honor You above them, Matt 10:28, even put fear of God and the trembling at Your words into them, Isaiah 66:2-3, for the fear of man is a snare, Prov 29:25, as You prophesied to Eli in 1 Samuel 2:29-30, 1 Sam 3:13-14, and fulfilled it in 1 Sam 4:17-18...

We've been asking YOU raise up messengers with the sword of the Spirit and still we ask, Lk 18:1, and thank You for five indicating they are willing to bring The Word of God to this situation, Heb 4:12, but as of yet have not to our knowledge, however we know You are working, thank You for what You're doing, and certain it's to bring about a hope and a future, Jer 29:11... Through history You have gone out of Your way to warn people to turn, as all the prophets testify, we ask He does now, in this day, for this cause: "perchance she will repent, and escape the snare of the devil, being held captive to do his will," 2 Tim 2:25-26, and "so others be fearful of sinning," 1 Tim 5:20. Let them finish the work which they said they'd do with love, reverence for You and Covenant, and zeal, 2 Cor 8:11, not with negligence, Jer 48:10, in Jesus' Name. May it be done gently but firmly, because of the danger of sin and so she won't stop attending church, but rather "flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart," 2 Tim 2:22. Also let it be done with gentleness, keeping an eye on ourselves, lest we be tempted, Gal 6:1. Thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, in Jesus' Name.

I ask again for her to be "hedged in with thorns," Ho 2:6-7, that she is not able to meet anyone at all (No more online dating, Matt 5:28, and grace for her to finally confess adultery, Ex 20:14, [as yet it has only been hinted at without confession], and may God grant ever-increasing clarity, more certain wisdom, James 1:5, that we may be filled with the knowledge of His will with all spiritual wisdom and understanding so we may walk worthy of The Lord, Col 1:9-10, so we may stand perfectly assured in all the will of God, Col 4:12. May our Love abound more and more with all knowledge and discernment so we may choose the most excellent paths, not stumble, be offended or cause offense to others, be blameless without reproach unto the Day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness, to the glory and praise of God, Phil 1:9-11, and who knows what's next? 2 Sam 12:22), especially that she, I, the youngster and we all are delivered from temptation, Lk 11:4, sin, 1 Cor 15:34, lies, Zeph 3:13, evil, evil men, imposters, 2 Tim 2:5, 2 Tim 2:13 & the evil one himself, Matt 6:13, John 17:15...

We join with you in this burden and we thank God that you have continued to bring this matter before Him in prayer, for we are called to pray without ceasing and not to lose heart as taught in Luke 18:1. We hear your heart crying out for intervention, for conviction, for a hedge of protection, for clarity and for healing, and we stand with you seeking God's will together in Jesus' name.

We affirm your desire to see Matthew 18:16-17 honored, that if a brother or sister sins, we take one or two more that every word may be established, and if they refuse to listen, tell it to the assembly. This is not punishment but love, that the soul may be restored and that others may learn to fear sin as in 1 Timothy 5:20. We pray that the church and family will not shrink back from this duty. The fear of man is a snare as Proverbs 29:25 says, but the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom as Proverbs 9:10 teaches. We ask the Lord to put His fear upon pastors, family and friends, that they would fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna rather than fearing people, Matthew 10:28, and that they would speak the truth with gentleness and reverence, keeping watch on themselves lest they also be tempted, Galatians 6:1, and that they would fulfill what they promised to do with diligence and not with negligence, for cursed is he who does the work of the Lord negligently, Jeremiah 48:10.

We agree with you in asking for the convicting work of the Holy Spirit, for Jesus said when He comes He will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment, John 16:8. We ask that God would hedge her way with thorns as in Hosea 2:6-7, Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, and I will build a wall against her, that she cannot find her paths. She will follow after her lovers, but she will not overtake them, that she may not be able to pursue those who would lead her into adultery and lust. We know that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart, Matthew 5:28, and that adultery violates the command you shall not commit adultery, Exodus 20:14. Online dating while still bound in covenant or while seeking lovers outside of God ordained marriage is not harmless, it is fornication and adultery of the heart and often of the flesh, and God calls all to flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body, 1 Corinthians 6:18. We pray she will be delivered from evil men and impostors who are lovers of self and without self control, from such turn away, 2 Timothy 3:5, and that she will come to her senses.

We also pray for inner healing, for from the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness in it, but wounds, welts, and open sores, Isaiah 1:6, yet the Lord is our shepherd and He restores our soul and makes us lie down in green pastures, Psalm 23:1-3. We ask that the Lord would heal her wounds and ours, that we would not seek healing in the arms of lovers or in the distractions of this world but in Christ alone.

We are encouraged by your understanding of repentance. Godly sorrow works repentance to salvation which brings no regret, but the sorrow of the world works death, 2 Corinthians 7:10. We pray she would demonstrate repentance unto life as the prodigal did when he came to himself and said I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, Luke 15:17-19, with humility willing to take the place of a servant. We share your hope that if God makes her holy and truly born again, we will not call unclean what God has cleansed, Acts 10:15, for all Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, 2 Timothy 3:16. At the same time we must lovingly remind you and her that we must not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, 2 Corinthians 6:14, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity, and that two cannot walk together unless they are agreed, Amos 3:3. A courtship must be between two believers in Christ with the clear goal of marriage, that lifelong covenant between one man and one woman that God honors. She promised to support the calling of an evangelist and missionary and then ran from counsel, and we pray God will give her a new heart that loves His calling and His Word, for knowledge puffs up but love builds up, 1 Corinthians 8:1, and the fear of the Lord is to hate evil, Proverbs 8:13. We ask God to fill you both with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to walk worthily of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, Colossians 1:9-10, and that love may abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense to the day of Christ, Philippians 1:9-11.

We thank God with you that He who began a good work in you and in her will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ, Philippians 1:6, and that His kindness is intended to lead us to repentance, Romans 2:4, for the Lord is not slow concerning His promise but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. Yet we also tremble knowing there will be wrath and tribulation for every soul who does evil, Romans 2:9, and that the Lord has throughout history warned through prophets and even through a donkey speaking with a man's voice to restrain the madness of the prophet, 2 Peter 2:16. We ask Him to warn her by any means He chooses.

We pray now together. Father in heaven, we thank You for Your grace to keep praying and for the sign that You are still working. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and no other way to the Father except through Him, John 14:6. We ask You to convict her deeply of sin, righteousness and judgment, to hedge her way with thorns so she cannot overtake her lovers, to block every path of online dating and adultery and to grant her the grace to confess her sin fully and forsake it, for he who conceals his sins will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy, Proverbs 28:13. Grant clarity and wisdom to all involved, for if any lacks wisdom let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach, James 1:5, that we may be filled with wisdom and stand fully assured in all the will of God, Colossians 4:12. Deliver her, this dear brother, the youngster and all of us from temptation and from the evil one, Matthew 6:13, and keep us from lies and from evil men, Zephaniah 3:13, John 17:15. Cause Your church to act in love and truth, gently but firmly, so that she will not forsake the assembly but will flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart, 2 Timothy 2:22, and that she may escape the snare of the devil having been held captive to do his will, 2 Timothy 2:25-26. Heal what is wounded, restore what is broken, and let patience have its perfect work. We trust You for a hope and a future as You have promised, Jeremiah 29:11, and we ask who knows what You will do next, as David prayed, 2 Samuel 12:22, yet not our will but Yours be done. We thank You in advance for hearing us, for whatever we ask in prayer believing we have received it, Mark 11:24. In the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

We hear how faithfully you have been carrying this burden before the Lord, and how much you long to see her surrounded by wise, loving voices and protected from further harm. Waiting while others consider how to help is heavy work, and we are grateful for your perseverance and for the care you show for her and for the youngster you mentioned.

We join you in asking God to bring clarity, healing, and a true turning toward Him. One thing we have seen over time is that real change is usually gradual and needs steady, kind accountability around a person, not just a single conversation. That is why the local church and family being nearby and available matters so much. It is encouraging that you have five people who have said they are willing to speak the truth in love. It can help to give them a brief, clear update on how to reach out gently and firmly, and at the same time to make sure you have a pastor or trusted mentor walking closely with you so you are not carrying this alone.

We are praying for you to have wisdom, rest, and protection from discouragement as you wait on the Lord, and for her to find safety and wholeness in Him.

Father, we lift this woman to You and ask for Your mercy and protection over her, for healing and clarity, and for deliverance from temptation and from those who would lead her further from You. Give her a true knowledge of You and a willing heart to walk in Your ways. Surround her with people who love You and will speak to her with both gentleness and courage. Sustain this brother and the child in this home with peace, wisdom, and strength for each day. Lead all of you according to Your will, in Jesus' name.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in laying this burden before the throne of grace, asking not for the blessing of sin but for the mercy that leads sinners out of it.

You have asked rightly that the church and family should intervene according to Matthew 18:16-17, that the Holy Spirit should convict according to John 16:8, and that the Lord should hedge the way with thorns according to Hosea 2:6. These are scriptural prayers when offered with a right heart. Yet we must weigh what we ask, for there is a repentance that is of the flesh and after the manner of sinful nature, and there is a repentance unto life which is wrought in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. The one trembles under judgment and then returns to the mire. The other gives God glory.

True repentance gives God glory. It confesses that sin is first against God, as the prodigal said, I have sinned against heaven and before thee, Luke 15:18. It does not merely hint at adultery while excusing it, for the law says thou shalt not commit adultery, Exodus 20:14, and our Lord teaches that even the lust of the heart is adultery before God, Matthew 5:28. A repentance that needs not to be repented of will bring forth works meet for repentance. It will be practical and it will last. It will flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart, 2 Timothy 2:22, and it will turn from evil men having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof, 2 Timothy 3:5.

You have prayed that she would come to her senses as the prodigal did in Luke 15:17. Remember how that parable teaches us. The eyes of mercy are quicker than the eyes of repentance. The father saw the son while he was yet a great way off and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. Slow are the steps of repentance, but swift are the feet of forgiveness. Yet the prodigal had many sins to confess, and his father had forgiven him before he came to the details of them, and then the son abhorred his past life because love had pardoned it. That is the right repentance, a weeping and abhorring of sin because of the love of Christ which has pardoned it, and an avoiding of present sin because of the love of God who died for us. Have we such a repentance that leads us to look out of self to Christ and to Christ only. For faith and repentance are inseparable. The repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant is the same work as the faith which admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart.

You ask for a hedge of thorns that she may not overtake her lovers. God indeed hedged Israel in that way that she might return and say, I will go and return to my first husband, Hosea 2:7. We may pray that every false way be blocked, that online snares and secret meetings come to nothing, and that she be kept from temptation and from the evil one, Matthew 6:13, John 17:15. But we must pray also that goodness may lead her to repentance, Romans 2:4. The Lord does not drive sinners as Cain was driven, but draws them. The goodness of God in daily mercies, in the warnings of prophets and pastors, in the Word that is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword, Hebrews 4:12, is meant to lead to repentance. Therefore we pray for clarity and wisdom, James 1:5, that you all may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, Colossians 1:9, and that love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment, Philippians 1:9, not the knowledge that puffs up, 1 Corinthians 8:1, but the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom, Proverbs 9:10, and is to hate evil, Proverbs 8:13.

You desire that pastors and friends would speak with the sword of the Spirit, gently but firmly, keeping an eye on themselves lest they also be tempted, Galatians 6:1, not with negligence, Jeremiah 48:10, but with love and reverence for God and for covenant. This is right. The fear of man is a snare, Proverbs 29:25, and those who watch for souls must fear God rather than man, Matthew 10:28, and tremble at His word, Isaiah 66:2. As Eli was warned in 1 Samuel 2 and 3, so the Lord still warns households and churches today. We pray He will raise up faithful messengers who will finish the work they promised with zeal, 2 Corinthians 8:11, that the sinning one may be reclaimed and that others also may fear, 1 Timothy 5:20, and perchance God will grant repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, that she may escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive to do his will, 2 Timothy 2:25-26.

You speak of being forbidden to be unequally yoked, 2 Corinthians 6:14, as the law says thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together, Deuteronomy 22:10, and that two cannot walk together except they be agreed, Amos 3:3. This is sober truth. Marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy belongs within it. We cannot ask God to bless what He calls sin. If God makes holy, we dare not call unclean, Acts 10:15, for all Scripture is inspired, 2 Timothy 3:16, and Peter bore witness that God saves Gentiles as well as Jews, Acts 15:7. But that holiness is His work alone. Repentance and remission are to be preached in the name of Jesus among all nations, Luke 24:47, and repentance in the name of Jesus means repentance as the gift of God. Where there is no true repentance there can be no remission, and where there is true godly sorrow there is full and free forgiveness. Do not put your repenting into the place of Christ. Look to Him who was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, 2 Corinthians 5:18-19, and to whom has been committed the word of reconciliation.

Take also the warning of Manasseh in 2 Chronicles 33. He did evil in the sight of the Lord for fifty five years, yet Almighty Grace made him a remarkable convert when the iron entered into his soul in Babylon. If such a wretch was brought to repentance, no one need despair. Yet his later repentance did not undo the evil of his reign, and restitution must be made for wrongs done or repentance is a sham. That conversion which does not convert the life is no conversion at all. So we pray not for a carnal sorrow that is sorry for consequences, but for that broken spirit which God will not despise, Psalm 51:17, though there was no sacrifice appointed under the law for adultery. David knew this and cast himself on mercy alone.

We pray then for her inner healing, for the wounds described in Isaiah 1:6, and for the Shepherd who makes us to lie down in green pastures and restores the soul, Psalm 23. We pray for the young one with you, that all of you be delivered from lies, Zephaniah 3:13, from evil men and impostors, and from sin itself, 1 Corinthians 15:34. We pray for knowledge of God and for a hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11, not as presumption but as submission to His perfect will, Colossians 4:12. And we pray for you, that you continue instant in prayer as Luke 18:1 exhorts, giving thanks in advance according to Mark 11:24, yet always saying, thy will be done, and remembering that He which hath begun a good work will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ, Philippians 1:6, if that work be indeed His.

May the Lord grant you ever increasing clarity, keep you from stumbling and from causing others to stumble, and fill you with the fruits of righteousness unto the glory and praise of God, Philippians 1:10-11. And may He grant to her, if it be His will, that godly sorrow which worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of, 2 Corinthians 7:10, that she may know His patience which once waited long, 1 Timothy 1:16, and His kindness intended to lead us to repentance, Romans 2:4, for He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9, though wrath and tribulation remain for every soul that doeth evil, Romans 2:9.

We commit this cause to Him who alone can give repentance and remission, and who has given to us the ministry of reconciliation. Let us speak the word of reconciliation faithfully, and leave the increase to God.
