When we ask You hear and if You hear, we have, 1 Jn5:14-14, so SEEK and SAVE the LOST, Lk 19:10, in Jesus' Name, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We come before the throne of grace with hearts burdened for the spiritual vitality of church leaders, pastors, teachers, worship leaders, and preachers, who carry the weighty responsibility of shepherding God’s flock. Your request resonates deeply with the cry of Scripture: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6 WEB). The foundation of all ministry must be rooted in a vibrant, personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5 WEB). We lift up these leaders, that their devotional lives would not be mere duty but a desperate hunger for the Bread of Life, that their study of the Word would be illuminated by the Holy Spirit, and that their intercession for the congregation would flow from a heart broken for the lost.

Father, we pray that You would revive the hearts of Your servants. Let them seek You first in prayer, not as a task to check off but as the lifeline of their souls. May their preparation for teaching and preaching be saturated in Your presence, so that when they stand before Your people, it is not with the wisdom of men but with the power of God (1 Corinthians 2:4-5 WEB). Guard them from the subtle snare of pride, which can creep in when gifts and platforms grow. Remind them daily that ministry is not about performance but about pointing souls to the Savior. "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord" (Colossians 3:16 WEB).

We also lift up the families and congregations these leaders serve. Lord, draw them to Your house as You promise: "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him" (John 6:44 WEB). Let the preaching of Your Word be accompanied by the convicting work of the Holy Spirit, so that sinners would repent, the wandering would return, and the lukewarm would be set ablaze. We rebuke the spirit of apathy and complacency that keeps believers from gathering as the early church did, "day by day, continuing steadfastly" (Acts 2:42 WEB). Father, let the Lord’s Supper not be a ritual but a sacred moment of communion with Christ, where we proclaim His death until He comes (1 Corinthians 11:26 WEB).

We must address a critical truth: the salvation of souls hinges on the name of Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). If anyone does not confess Jesus as Lord, they remain lost. We pray that these leaders would boldly proclaim the exclusivity of Christ, for "there is salvation in none other" (Acts 4:12 WEB). Let them not shrink back from declaring the whole counsel of God, including the call to repentance from sin and faith in the finished work of the cross. "For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes" (Romans 1:16 WEB).

Holy Spirit, anoint these servants afresh. Let them worship in spirit and truth (John 4:24 WEB), not in empty formalism or fleshly emotionalism. May their lives be living epistles, read by all men (2 Corinthians 3:2 WEB), so that when they teach, their walk matches their talk. We rebuke every spirit of deception that would lead them or their congregations astray. Guard them from false doctrine, from the love of money, and from the temptation to water down Your Word to please men. "Preach the word! Be urgent in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching" (2 Timothy 4:2 WEB).

Father, we ask that You would raise up laborers for the harvest (Matthew 9:38 WEB). Let these leaders not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season they will reap if they do not faint (Galatians 6:9 WEB). Bless their visitations to the sick, the lonely, and the backslidden. Let their homes be places of hospitality and their lives be marked by holiness. May they lead by example, showing the flock what it means to walk in humility, love, and obedience to Your Word.

We pray for the lost, that their eyes would be opened to the truth of the Gospel. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). Let the Holy Spirit convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8 WEB), and grant them the gift of repentance. We declare that no one is beyond Your reach, whether they are in the pews or far from You, whether they are young or old, rich or poor. You desire all to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4 WEB), and we stand in agreement with Your will.

Lord, protect these leaders and their families from the schemes of the enemy. The devil prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8 WEB). Strengthen them to resist him, steadfast in the faith. Let them not be overwhelmed by the cares of this world but fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of their faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB).

We close this prayer with a plea for revival, not just in the church, but in the hearts of every believer. Let us hunger for Your Word like newborn babies crave milk (1 Peter 2:2 WEB). Let us seek Your face in prayer, not just for our needs but for the salvation of souls. Let us be a people who love one another deeply, who bear each other’s burdens, and who shine as lights in a dark world. "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB).

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, we pray. Amen.

What a wide and beautiful prayer you’ve spread before the Lord, for the devotional lives of your church’s leaders, for the worship of your congregation, and so earnestly for the salvation of family members. We join you in longing for these things, and we’re grateful you brought them here.

We’ve been reminded that true worship, at its heart, is simply setting our gaze on God. When Isaiah saw the Lord high and lifted up, it reordered everything, how he saw his circumstances, himself, and the world. That’s the sort of gaze we’re praying for: not just singing songs or attending gatherings, but a genuine, Spirit-given sight of the living God that reshapes hearts from the inside out. For weary church leaders, this is the deep renewal they need. For family members still far off, this is what draws them, not a polished service, but a glimpse of something real.

So as you pray for your loved ones, perhaps one tangible step is simply a personal, unhurried invitation: “Come and see.” Not pressure, just a quiet welcome from someone they trust. We’ve seen how a single Sunday can crack open something long closed. We’re asking the Lord to give you that gentle boldness, and to go ahead of you in preparing their hearts.

Our Father, we lift up this church’s leaders: give them a deep, abiding hunger for prayer and Your Word. Refresh their own souls so they lead from an overflow. For every family member named and unnamed, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself through the beauty of Christ and the pull of genuine worship. Protect them from the voices that would deceive or distract, and open their minds to truly understand the gospel. We trust You to do this, not because we have perfect words, but because You love to save. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

It is a great mystery, and one that often puzzles the wise, when the outward estate seems prosperous and yet the spirit is cast down within. The family not sick, the business sound, the body whole, why then this sinking, this pleading as from the depths? This is the very mark of the living child, who cannot be content with the gifts while the Giver’s face is hidden. You cry for souls, for the drawing of family, for the hearing of the Word in power, and this is no carnal desire but the travail of one who has learned that without Christ Himself present in the assembly, the gathering is but a dead form. The request rises like incense, and it is pleasing to Him who searches the hearts.

See to it that this longing does not degenerate into a mere trust in the machinery of means. I have seen sound doctrine, so called, made as a very seal to seal in a dead Christ, lest by any means the energy of His grace should come out for the salvation of sinners. What is doctrine, after all, but a throne whereon Christ sits? If He is not upon it, the throne is empty, and your orthodoxy is a vacant chair. You ask for the Holy Spirit to open minds and convict, and this is the very core of the matter. The star does not need us to polish it; out of Christ’s own mouth goes the strength that wins the day. Let Him shine in the church, and He will destroy His enemies with the brightness of His glory. His presence is effectual for all purposes, for the saving of the lost, for the drawing of the reluctant, for the reviving of the weary.

Concerning those family members and visitors you long to see gathered, take heart from this: the salvation of the believer does not rest on his own will, but on God’s will. The Father draws, and none can come otherwise; flesh and blood does not reveal the Messiah, but the Father in heaven does. Therefore your intercession is not a grappling with a reluctant God, but an asking according to His own revealed purpose, for He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. Do you know the love of Christ? None but His loved ones know it, and it is a love that loved us and washed us, not a love that winks at sin. When He sets His heart upon a soul, He does not merely offer salvation and then stand aside; He is the Author of an eternal salvation, and the word "eternal" means without end. Be of good courage, and plead the blood.

Yet remember, the church is to be a blessing, but never forget the personality of it: "I will make them a blessing." If you are not a channel of grace to those around you, search your heart. The family who never saw anything in you to give reason for hope, that is the grief indeed. But if Christ dwells in you, a part of His own body, then out of you shall flow rivers of living water. The life of the minister, the teacher, the worshipper, it must be the constant lifting up of the cross, the high exalting of Him. Do not fret over much about the outward architecture of the church’s ways; Christ does not attend to our points of church government. The Great Architect fuses all the living stones into one temple, and the builder is Christ Himself.

As you go to the house of God, go not as to a mere duty, nor let the cup be taken "just to get it out of the way." That would be to eat and drink unworthily. Go as the beloved disciple who leaned on Jesus’ bosom, seeking the vision of His face. The early ages of the Church spoke more of Christ and thought more of Him than we do. We need to feel that we are flesh of His flesh. And if that nearness is yours, then upon you the promise descends: "I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; I will cause the shower to come down in his season." Showers, plural, all kinds of blessings, showers of work and showers of comfort, showers of truth and showers of holiness. They come in season, not ours, but His.

Do not look for power in the starry company of ministers or in the zealous plans of visitors, however good. The true power of the church lies in Christ personally. Once behold the splendor of the love of God in the face of Jesus Christ, and you will need neither candle nor star, for the glory of God will be as seven suns to you. He who holds the keys of death and hell is the same who walked in the midst of the seven golden lampstands. He rules over all. No wave of fire in that seething caldron but is guided by the will of the Man Christ. Can He not then manage the heart of a wayward child, the step of an indifferent relative? Commit them to Him who loved us and loosed us from our sins, and make a full surrender of yourself to His sway. He must be Lord of the forgiven soul.

Go then to the assembly with expectation. The Christ in heaven is the same Christ who is here on earth in all of his saved ones. There is a vital union, so that whatever Christ is, they are. As you break the bread, see not a ritual but a throne; as the Word is preached, hear not a man’s eloquence but the voice of the Beloved. And as you cry, "Seek and save the lost," know that where Christ is lifted up, He draws all men unto Himself. The government is upon his shoulder, and his arm is not shortened. To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pour out many petitions and string together holy words, but take care lest your prayer be merely a noise of the lips. The true drawing near to God is “with a true heart, in full assurance of faith,” not reciting verses as a charm. To pray for your family’s salvation, for the Holy Spirit’s revelation, for conviction and conversion, is good. Yet consider: does your own life first shine with the fruit of repentance? For He who said, “I will that none perish” also warned that those who have “tasted the heavenly gift and been made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and tasted the good word of God and the powers of the world to come,” if they then fall away, “crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh and put Him to an open shame.” I do not say this to cast you down, but to stir you up. You ask the Lord to draw your family: but see to it that you yourself are not drawn away by the love of the world, or by a false confidence in church attendance or family ties. The Jews boasted in their forefathers, yet the Baptist drew them off from such carnal refuge. Salvation rests upon your own repentance and faith, not upon the piety of others. So then, pray; but pray with a contrite heart. Seek for yourself first that “full assurance of faith,” as concerning things you see, even more. For here the eye may be deceived; there the Spirit never fails.

You ask that the Holy Spirit teach and open minds. This is the very work of God, not of man. Nothing is of ourselves; all is of His gift. Therefore, when you intercede for pastors and teachers, plead above all that they may speak “words full of the Spirit,” as Christ gave commandments through the Holy Ghost. But do not imagine that a mere word from a preacher saves. Even those who heard the Lord Himself were not all converted, because they received not the Spirit’s anointing. The sin against the Holy Spirit is not a single word, but an impenitent rejection of that light which they have tasted. Yet let none despair. Many who once blasphemed later believed and found mercy. So let your prayer be not only for others, but for yourself and every hearer, that we may not be hearers only but doers, and that the Spirit may write the word on our hearts.

You mention the assembling of the saints, the breaking of bread, the hearing of the message. This is well, and the Apostle commands us not to forsake it. Yet see you draw near with a “true heart,” not as a custom, nor to get it out of the way. Many come into the holy assembly with their minds wandering; they stand with the body, but in soul they are elsewhere. Let your hunger for the Word be as a newborn babe’s, and when you pray “open our minds to understand the Scriptures,” add also, “and incline our wills to obey.” For faith comes by hearing, but only if the hearer mixes the word with faith. Some believed at the preaching of Peter, but others mocked. The difference was not in the speaker but in the heart. The Holy Spirit convicts and converts where He wills, but He does not force the stubborn. So pray for your family, yes, and for all the lost; but also live in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify God. Visit, speak, and entreat; but know that unless the Father draws them, they cannot come.

Finally, do not measure God’s work by your own imaginings. The Spirit works as the wind blows; and sometimes the most unlikely are raised, even as the dead man rose when cast into the tomb of Elisha. So despair of none. But do not think that fervent prayer and orthodox confession will save you if you neglect holiness and the daily dying to sin. “May we never have cause to suspect this of the Church,” that we are hearers and talkers but not doers. Let us so run that we may obtain. The grace and lovingkindness of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit and with all who call upon Him in sincerity. Amen.

Your prayer request is a window into a heart that beats with love for Christ and his church. I can feel the burden, for shepherds to walk closely with the Lord, for family members to be drawn by the Father, for the lost to hear and receive the word with humble faith. It is right to bring these things before God without ceasing, because the very One you are interceding with is already walking among his people, attending to their deepest needs.

Jesus walks in the midst of his church. He knows our works, our love, our service, our faith, and our patience. He sees where we are thriving and where we are merely going through the motions. The call he gives again and again to his congregations is to hear what the Spirit says, to repent where things have grown cold, and to hold fast to what we have. When you pray for leaders to devote themselves to prayer and the Word, for families to gather around sound teaching, and for a hunger that goes beyond ritual, you are praying in step with the Head of the body. That is a confident place to be.

Do not be overwhelmed by the many requests, as if the outcome rested on the eloquence of your lists. The Father already wills that none should perish but that all should come to repentance. The Son came to seek and save the lost. The Spirit convicts the world of sin and righteousness and judgment. Our part is to abide in that vine and let the word dwell richly in us, so that when we visit, invite, write, or preach, what flows out is life. Faith still comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. So keep speaking the simple gospel, the message you already treasure, Christ crucified for sinners, raised for our justification.

It can be tempting to look at church history or at the visible condition of things and grow discouraged. I have no defense for much that has been done under the banner of religion. But the true church has always been made up of those whom the Lord knows, and he preserves a witness even in the bleakest seasons. Our model is not the shifting patterns of centuries gone by, but the Spirit-filled life we see in the book of Acts: continuing steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayers. That is still his design. When we long for revival, we are longing for a fresh return to that original devotion, to a people who walk in the fear of the Lord and the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

Your prayers for your household and for visitors do not go unheard in heaven. The Lord who moved men to write that not even a sparrow falls without the Father’s will certainly inclines his ear to a parent’s cry for a child, a friend’s cry for a neighbor. Keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking. He may answer in a quiet awakening as the scriptures are opened to their understanding, or in a dramatic turning that leaves no room for human boasting. Either way, Jesus alone gets the glory when the proud are humbled and the blind receive sight by the revelation that comes from above, flesh and blood does not reveal him, but the Father in heaven.

While you pray for the present, fix your eyes where all faithful prayer is headed. There is a day coming when a great multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and tongue will stand before the throne, clothed in white robes, and their cry will be one word: salvation. That company is the church, purchased by the blood of the Lamb, and he has made us a kingdom of priests to reign with him. The destiny of every true believer is not to cling to this world’s broken systems, but to share in that song. Until then, we keep vigil. We do the works of him who sent us while it is day. We do not grow weary in intercession, because we know that our labor in the Lord is not in vain.

So continue to pray as you have been. Seek God in daily secret devotion. Study the word, not as a sealed book, but as an open unveiling of Jesus Christ. He is the central figure of all Scripture, and the more you see him, the more your intercessions will line up with his will. Encourage your family and those you visit to set their hope fully on the grace that will be brought to them at his appearing. And when you gather with the saints, however small or struggling the assembly may seem, remember that Jesus walks there, ready to fight for his own with the sword of his mouth and to reward every work done in faith.

May the Lord grant you the desires of your heart as you delight yourself in him. May he give the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ to every person for whom you have prayed. And may you see fruit that remains, for the sake of his name and the glory that is to come.
