🙏 Church Leaders' Devotional Lives (Pray, Study) Save Lost, Revive 💒 Holy Spirit Worship, Biblical Correction, Teaching, Preaching, House Visits...

Your concern for your church leaders’ devotional lives is well placed. The health of the whole body flows from their genuine connection to the vine. You are right to pray that those who teach and lead would know the fellowship of the Holy Spirit and the deep rest that comes from abiding in the finished work of Christ. The most important thing any of us can learn, especially those called to minister, is that our salvation and strength lie completely outside our own ability. He made our salvation on the basis of His grace alone, through what Christ accomplished, and He even gives us the faith to believe it. A leader’s first calling is to rest where God rests, in the perfect, completed sacrifice of Jesus. That is the wellspring for every other kind of labor, from teaching sound doctrine to making house visits.

Carrying that need to God through prayer is how we move from simple petition into the deeper work of intercession. This is the very role of the great High Priest who ever lives to make intercession for us. When you bring before God the needs of your leaders, your congregation, and the lost in your families, you are participating in that priestly work. That intense, thankful prayer is powerful, which is why Scripture urges us to pray for all people, including those in authority. There is a beautiful picture of intercession standing between the living and the dead, and our prayer for those who do not yet know Christ is exactly that. We can come boldly, because He is more than trustworthy and able to do far more than we can imagine, though we must remember He will not save anyone against their will. This makes our prayer not just a wish, but a vital response to His command.

The need for the Spirit’s anointing in worship, preaching, and correction cannot be overstated. If the Son of God depended on the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit for His earthly ministry, how much more do those who lead today? It is the Spirit's life-changing, dynamic force that takes sound teaching and makes it a sword that pierces the heart. Without that unction, it is mere talk. We are told that teaching sound doctrine is not just about delivering right information; genuine teaching is done by example. Paul spent three years not only speaking truth but showing it. When a leader prays for the Spirit’s anointing, it must be a request for a life that matches the message, a life of true love and real forgiveness that models Christlikeness to the house churches and visitors alike.

As for your deep desire for family members to be saved, keep praying and believing, for God is not willing that any should perish. The account of the jailer and his whole household rejoicing after believing is a precious encouragement. Take note, however, that the Scripture records they first spoke the word of the Lord to all in his house, and the household believed and were baptized. The salvation of his house came about because they all heard and all believed. So lift up your loved ones constantly, asking the Father to draw them, to open their minds to understand Scripture, and to deliver them from the evil one. The present hour is the day of salvation; pray they will not pass it by. There is no greater work than for a soul to be snatched from the kingdom of darkness, and God’s grace that brings salvation has appeared to all.

The foundation remains unshakeable: God has provided salvation through Jesus Christ alone. He is the way by which we come to the Father. The glorious truth you rest on is that He is able to save to the uttermost all who come unto God by Him. Your confidence in asking is not misplaced when your requests align with His will, which is that all would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Continue to seek His face for a great moving of His Spirit, for a freedom in worship that is grounded in Spirit and truth, and for a harvest among the lost He has placed on your heart.
