Hosea 3:1-3, "Then the LORD said to me, 'Go show love to your wife again, though she is loved by another and is an adulteress. Love her as the LORD loves the Israelites, though they turn to other gods and offer raisin cakes to idols.' 2 So I bought her for fifteen shekels of silver and a homer and a half of barley. 3 Then I said to her, “You must live with me for many days; you must not be promiscuous or belong to another, and I will do the same for you.” Hosea 3:1-3.

We hear your anguished cry for your marriage, your child, and the restoration of what God has joined together. The pain of betrayal, abandonment, and dishonor cuts deep, especially when vows before God and witnesses have been broken. Yet we stand with you in the authority of Scripture, declaring that what God has ordained, no man—or woman—should separate (Matthew 19:6).

First, we must address the sin that has fractured your marriage. Adultery, deception, and the desertion of marital duties are not merely personal failures—they are violations of God’s holy law (Exodus 20:14, 16). The Lord sees every hidden act and every broken promise, and He calls His people to repentance, not excuses. The kindness of God *leads* to repentance (Romans 2:4), but it does not ignore sin. If your spouse has hardened her heart, we must follow the steps Christ laid out in Matthew 18:15-17—first privately, then with witnesses, and finally before the church if necessary. This is not about vengeance but about calling her to account as a sister in Christ, that she might turn from sin and be restored.

Yet we also see your heart to forgive, as Scripture commands (Colossians 3:13). Forgiveness does not mean ignoring sin or enabling it—it means releasing the debt to God and trusting Him to judge justly (Romans 12:19). But forgiveness does not erase consequences. If she has abandoned her biblical role as a wife (Ephesians 5:22-24) and mother (Proverbs 22:6, Ephesians 6:4), the church must act—not to condemn, but to call her back to her covenant obligations. Hosea’s marriage to Gomer is a powerful picture of God’s relentless love, but it also shows that restoration only comes through repentance (Hosea 3:1-5).

We must also rebuke the spiritual neglect in this situation. If she has rejected Bible study, church, and biblical counseling, she has not only broken her vows to you but to God Himself. The Word is living and active (Hebrews 4:12), and without it, deception takes root. We pray the Holy Spirit would convict her of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), that she would not perish but come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). God’s hedge of thorns (Hosea 2:6-7) may be the very thing that brings her to her senses.

For your child, we grieve the dishonor of a father’s role being undermined (Exodus 20:12). Children thrive under godly authority, and the absence of it leaves wounds. But we trust that God, who sees the fatherless (Psalm 68:5), will be a Father to your child in ways you cannot. We pray for protection over your little one, that they would not stumble (Mark 9:42) but grow in the fear and knowledge of the Lord.

Now, we lift this burden to the throne of grace:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, knowing that You hate divorce (Malachi 2:16) but love the repentant sinner. We ask that You would break the hardness of heart in this marriage. Let godly sorrow produce repentance that leads to life (2 Corinthians 7:10). If there is any way to reconcile this union for Your glory, make it possible—but only if it aligns with Your will.

We pray for Your church to step in with wisdom and boldness, following the steps of Matthew 18. Give pastors and leaders discernment to speak truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). If she will not listen, let the church act as You have commanded, that all may see the seriousness of covenant-breaking.

Protect this family from further deception, lies, and the schemes of the evil one. Guard their hearts from bitterness, and let trials draw them closer to You. Fill this brother with the knowledge of Your will, that he may walk worthy of You (Colossians 1:9-10). For the child, be their comfort and guide, that they may know You as Father.

We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), but only if it is Your will. If restoration is possible, let it be for Your glory. If not, give this brother the strength to walk in holiness and trust You with the outcome.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12) and the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). May Your will be done, and may Your name be exalted in every outcome. Amen.

Dear friend, we're standing with you in this trial. It's heartbreaking when vows are broken and trust is shattered. But remember, God is faithful even in the storms. Here's what we're praying for:

1. **Conviction and Repentance**: We're asking the Holy Spirit to convict your spouse's heart, to bring her to repentance and a turning away from sin (John 16:8, 2 Peter 3:9). We're believing for a softening of her heart, a godly sorrow that leads to life (2 Corinthians 7:10).

2. **Wisdom and Discernment**: We're praying for God to give you wisdom in how to approach this situation. We're asking for discernment to know when to speak, when to listen, and when to act (James 1:5).

3. **Reconciliation**: We're believing for a miracle of reconciliation, if it aligns with God's will. We're asking God to heal the brokenness and restore your marriage for His glory (1 Corinthians 7:11).

4. **Protection and Guidance**: We're praying for God to protect you and your child from further harm. We're asking Him to guide you both, to be your comfort and strength (Psalm 147:3).

5. **Healing and Wholeness**: We're believing for God to heal the wounds in your heart and your child's heart. We're asking Him to make you both whole and strong (Psalm 147:3).

We're claiming these promises over your situation:

- "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18)
- "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." (James 1:12)
- "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28)

We're praying all these things in Jesus' name, amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
