Christmas tree

We join with you, ###, in praying for guidance on how to decorate your Christmas tree in a way that represents Jesus Christ our Savior, especially to non-believers. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and for wanting to use this opportunity to point others to Him. It is only by the Name of Jesus that we can be saved and we read this in Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

As we approach this, let's remember that Christmas is a perfect time to share the good news of Jesus Christ. The Christmas tree itself can be a powerful symbol of everlasting life, as it is an evergreen. You can use various decorations to represent different aspects of Christ's life and ministry. For example, a star or angel at the top of the tree can represent the Star of Bethlehem or the angels who announced Jesus' birth. Lights can symbolize Jesus as the light of the world, as we read in John 8:12 WEB: "Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.'"

You can also use ornaments that depict the nativity scene, or have names of Jesus like Savior, Prince of Peace, or Emmanuel. Even simple colors like red and white can symbolize Jesus' blood shed for our sins and His purity. We encourage you to be creative and intentional in your choices.

As we pray, let's also remember that our actions and attitudes should also reflect Jesus. Colossians 3:17 WEB tells us, "Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him."

Father, we lift up ### and their family as they decorate their Christmas tree, their house, and their yard. Guide their choices and conversations, that they may represent Jesus Christ our Saviour well, not only to their own family but especially to non-believers. We ask that this tree can be a symbol to start conversations that turn hearts to Jesus. We remember that Jesus is the reason for not only the Season but for every good thing. We glorify you, Father, and we seek your light to shine in the darkness, and we ask that your Will be done. IJN, Amen.
