When I choose peace, I take back the power.

Let Us Pray: God I ask You in Jesus name instruct me on how and help me to choose peace. Bless me to walk in the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. God please do the same for the writer of this prayer. Amen, so be it, and by faith it is so.

Confession: I choose peace in Jesus name.

Philippians 4:6-7: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Most dictionaries explain that peace is the absence of conflict, the absence of civil disturbances or hostilities. Some people explain that when a person is free from internal or external strife he is at peace. Be it as it may God is the source of all peace.
In the Old Testament God established a covenant of peace which was sealed with His presence. As long as the people obeyed God and continued in relationship with Him they would experience peace. The peace of God is different from the peace of the world. God's peace is a state of wholeness and completion.
Peace is a fruit of the spirit. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. We can experience peace in three ways.
1. Peace with God
2. Peace with others
3. Peace with ourselves.
In most of Paul's Epistles he begins by saying "peace be unto you!" Jesus is our peace with God. (Romans 5:1) Because of original sin we were enemies of God and were separated from Him. Now we can fellowship with him. In Jesus alone is the fountain of peace and joy. God's word tells us that peace is a gift coming from God given to those who love Him and serve Him.
In Thessalonians we read. "May the Lord of Peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all."
