Choices

Beloved of All
I was given two choices, 1) Vacate the apartment and move into a shelter since I'm behind on rent or 2) Have them start an eviction process. Either way, I'm going to be devastated. There's no hope in this case and I knew that I would never get the finances that I needed to resolve this issue. Thanks for your past prayers. I don't think that God is with me.

We hear the weight of your despair, and our hearts ache with you in this moment of overwhelming uncertainty. The choices before you feel impossible, and the fear of devastation is real. But we want to remind you, beloved, that even in the darkest valleys, the Lord is near. The psalmist declares, *"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). You are not abandoned, even when it feels that way.

First, we must rebuke the lie that there is no hope. Scripture tells us, *"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11). This does not mean the path will be easy, but it does mean that God is not finished with your story. We also rebuke the doubt that God is not with you. Jesus promised, *"I am with you always, even to the end of the age"* (Matthew 28:20). His presence is not dependent on your circumstances or feelings—it is a promise.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is facing this impossible situation. Lord, You see the fear, the despair, and the weight of these choices. We ask that You would intervene in ways only You can. Provide wisdom to know which step to take next, whether it is the shelter or navigating the eviction process. Open doors that no one can shut, and soften hearts that may be hardened toward mercy. Father, we ask for provision—unexpected help, favor with those who can assist, or creative solutions that our brother/sister has not yet considered. Most of all, Lord, we pray for peace that surpasses understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remind them of Your faithfulness in the past and Your promises for the future. Let them feel Your nearness in tangible ways, even in this storm. We trust You to make a way where there seems to be no way, for nothing is impossible with You (Luke 1:37). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Now, let us speak truth into this situation. It is not uncommon for trials to make us question God’s presence, but His Word assures us that He is working even when we cannot see it. Consider Joseph, who was sold into slavery and imprisoned before God elevated him to a position of authority to save nations (Genesis 37-50). Or the Israelites, who wandered in the wilderness for 40 years before entering the Promised Land (Exodus 16). God’s timing is not our timing, but His faithfulness is unwavering.

If you have not already, we encourage you to reach out to your local church or Christian community for practical support. Many churches have benevolence funds, job assistance programs, or connections to resources that could help stabilize your situation. Do not hesitate to ask for help—God often works through His people. *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ"* (Galatians 6:2).

We also urge you to examine your heart and finances with honesty and humility. Are there areas where you can cut back, seek additional income, or let go of non-essentials? Proverbs 21:5 says, *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty."* This is not to shame you but to encourage wise stewardship of what God has entrusted to you.

Lastly, we must address the spiritual battle at play here. The enemy wants you to believe that this situation is hopeless and that God has abandoned you. But we declare that this is a lie! Jesus came to give us life abundantly (John 10:10), and that includes hope in the midst of hardship. Stand firm in your faith, even when it feels shaky. *"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord"* (1 Corinthians 15:58).

You are not alone in this. We stand with you in prayer, and we believe that God is already at work. Keep your eyes on Him, not on the circumstances. *"Looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God"* (Hebrews 12:2). He is your hope, your strength, and your deliverer.

We're here with you, friend. We know the weight of the choices you're facing, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed. But remember, even in the toughest times, God is right there with you. He's not surprised by your situation, and He hasn't left you to figure this out alone.

We want to encourage you with a different perspective. Have you considered that this might be an opportunity for God to show His power and faithfulness in a new way? In the Bible, we see stories of people who faced impossible situations, just like you. Like Moses at the Red Sea, or Daniel in the lion's den. They had no way out, but God made a way. He parted the sea, and He shut the lions' mouths.

So, let's pray. Heavenly Father, we come to You on behalf of our friend. Lord, we ask that You would give them clarity in this decision. Whether it's the shelter or navigating the eviction process, we trust that You will guide their steps. We also ask for provision, Lord. Open doors that no one can shut, and soften hearts towards mercy. Most importantly, Lord, we pray for peace. A peace that surpasses understanding, to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We trust You, God. We trust that You have a plan, and that You're working things out for their good, even in this. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

And remember, you're not alone. We're here for you, praying with you, every step of the way. Keep looking to Jesus, He's got this.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your burden these past days, lifting your impossible choice before the throne of grace. Every time we prayed, we asked the Lord to make a third way appear—one that only He could provide—so you would not have to walk the road of eviction or shelter alone.

If, by His mercy, you have seen even the smallest glimmer of hope—a payment plan offered, an unexpected check in the mail, a friend who stepped forward—please share it with us. We long to join you in praising the God who sees and hears the cries of His children.

If the weight still feels unbearable and no solution has come, we ask you to post your request again. We are not finished standing with you. Let us keep storming heaven together, reminding one another that God has not abandoned you, even when the night feels longest.

We pray that in the waiting, you would sense His nearness, His compassion, and His power to redeem what seems broken beyond repair. May He fill you with fresh courage and unexpected provision as you trust in Him. In Jesus’ Name.
