We hear your heartfelt cry for your family, children, and those in need, and we join with you in lifting these precious concerns before our Heavenly Father. Your request reflects a deep love for your family and a desire to see them walk in God’s will, and we stand with you in agreement, believing that the Lord hears and answers the prayers of His people.
First, we must emphasize that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23). There is no other name by which we can be saved, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12). If your nephew or any others do not yet know Jesus, we pray they would come to a saving knowledge of Him, for apart from Christ, there is no true spiritual growth, protection, or fulfillment.
For your family’s spiritual growth, we rejoice in your commitment to studying the Bible and praying together. The Word of God is our foundation, and fellowship in prayer strengthens the bonds of faith. "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord" (Colossians 3:16). "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). We pray they would walk in purity, honoring God with their bodies, and that they would seek His purpose for their lives with wholehearted devotion.
For your daughter, we ask the Lord to continue protecting her, granting her favor in school and in her career. We pray for her marriage, that it would be a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church, "Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Let none who prays here be so anxious about children, needs, or dangers that your anxiety unfits you for the duty at hand. The first business of every soul is your own salvation. The plain way is still the only way: Christ is the salvation of God, and whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. For the nephew and his children, we plead the promise, Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. We ask not for a mere influence, but for regeneration through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
Your prayers for family worship and Bible study I heartily second. We desire household salvation, but if whole households are to be saved, whole households must hear the Word. Continue to gather the children, not as a form, but that they may learn to trust the Savior while they are young.
